The Trinity: Drusilla's Story: Part Seven - Prague 1997

by Ephesiana

Prague was a wonderful city. Spike and I were having such a fine time. Looking at all the nice people there gave me a beautiful plan. It was like a poem. And it would have made such a nice suprise for my Spike. I made sure that he would be out hunting without me on the night that I would put my plan into action. I was going to gorge myself on the little children of Prague. I entered one of those lovely day-care centers, immediately killing the adults. None of their blood for me. I wanted pure innocence. I fed on them, one by one, and the rest watched, sobbing and screaming. It was music to my ears, like the operas that Angel used to take me to. Fear makes people do such a lovely dance.

But then their mummys and daddys showed to pick their babies up and interrupted all my fun. There were too many of them, coming at me all at once. Not fighting fair. I ran into the street, trying to get away, but they ran after me, gathering more allies as they chased, until they were an entire mob. A pack of wolves hunting down their prey. After the beating, they left me there, weak and helpless, to burn in the rising sun.

Spike found me just in time, and carried me back to our little home. He could never resist a damsel in distress. Usually, he just ate them, though. He tells me that he'll never leave me again, that we'll be together for eternity. But I know better. Miss Edith says that me and Spike will not play together forever. Like Spike said, all good things must come to an end. Spike says we must go to a place called Sunnydale, now. It's in the States. A strong Hellmouth is there, and I can grow strong again with it. I see Angel there as well. A family reunion is ahead.

We're to leave tomorrow by sea. Me and Spike and Miss Edith. And the moon speaks of great change.
