The Trinity: Drusilla's Story: Part Six - Everywhere

by Ephesiana

Spike and Angel and I had such fun together for awhile. Angel was my daddy, and Spike was like a brother. Our happy little family. We would all go out on hunts together. I liked the little children the best. So vulnerable and lost. They would whimper when I bit into their necks. It made such sweet music.

Spike would take me out to the theatre sometimes. He took quite a liking to me after Angel brought me home. When Angel would tire of my talk, Spike would listen and he would comfort me when I was out of sorts. They both appreciated my visions. Angel thought they were great fun, and Spike would listen so carefully.

After a couple of decades, Angel began to tire of me. I admit I can be quite a handful at times. He stopped doing the special things for me that a girl likes. No more puppies nailed to my doorway at Valentine's Day, or special gifts on my birthday. Towards the end of the century, he ran off to Budapest with his sire, Darla, and left me. I was so disappointed, but my Spike comforted me. He took me into the midst of the Boxer Rebellion, where we danced among the corpses. Though I did have to sit through all his renditions of how he killed the Slayer there.

Spike could be a very jealous boy. Whenever I entertained other gentlemen, he would always get so mad. We had our share of spats, me and him. But he always came back to me. In the first decade of this century, I had a nasty vision. Angel getting back his soul, helping humans. It made me cry for days. Spike growled at the thought. We tried to occupy our minds with less worrisome things. During the 1970s, we went to London again. I visited all my old haunts with Miss Edith. Spike discovered punk rock. He played it all the time after that, until I told him it hurt my ears. He listens to it when I'm not around now. At the end of the decade, Spike insisted we leave London, saying the scene was getting too commercial. We went to Prague. I loved it there. Such nice people…
