Chapter 1 Dawn
Dawn Summers walked through the halls of her daughter Kelina’s school. She sighed. She couldn’t believe that Buffy had died. She missed her so much. She had called Xander and Willow and told them the news. Buffy had died of a severe Heart Attack. Buffy was only 49. She just didn’t see a slayer dying that way. A god or super robot, maybe. But not something like that. 80-year-olds survive heart attacks. Giles had been there when it happened. He was still having trouble coping. He drank a lot. He was getting up there so that was horrendous.
Dawn started to cry. She remembered her high school years. During her freshman year her mother had died. She was so devastated. She wondered how Buffy’s daughter Cordelia was coping. She was the same age as Buffy was when Joyce died. She walked outside of the school and got into her car. She had to go back to Sunnydale. Now.
She got home and told her husband, Kevin that she was going to Sunnydale. He didn’t seem to understand why. She told him to take care of Kelina and asked him not to drink. He had a problem with that. She went to her room and started to pack. She planned to leave as soon as she could. She opened her sock drawer and got as many weapons as she could carry. She kissed her husband goodbye and got in the car. She cried almost the whole trip down there. She didn’t see the truck.
