That Lifetime: Part 3

Disclaimer: I don't own a thing...well actually I do own some things, but nothing in this fic...well I own the idea(not that it's worth anything), but I don't own anything that belongs to anyone else so...DON'T SUE! Thanx!
Author's Note: This is the sequal to my other story(it's my friend's story too), "Three Day Weekend to Last a Lifetime" you should probably read it first. If you're really too lazy to though, Lemme esplain...no there is too much(not really I just felt like using this quote), lemme sum up: Buttercup is to marry humperdink in little less than half an...er, wrong story....oh right, my story! Buffy's mom is away art buying or something, and having no earth ending prophecies, Buffy invites the gang over to spend the night. They have a "pig out and vid fest" and the next morning Joyce calls to say she'll be gone longer, and Buffy invites everyone to stay for the rest of the 3 day weekend. They agree, Angel proposes, Buffy agrees, and it's all happy-happy fluff-fluff! You really should read it, it's so much better than my sad little summary!
Now on to the note for this story: OKAY, Joyce is way out of character in this, I know, but I'm writing this in my own little world, so just go with it. Also this is so in my time frame and has very little...actually nothing to do with the BUFFYVERSE. And, since this is entirely in my little world, you should know that in this world: Angel's curse has no happiness clause, so none of the bad stuff after "Suprise"(note, I say "Suprise", not "Innocence", so most of what happened in "Suprise" happened, just no soul lossage!) happened, and it's all happy good! This story is really is nothing but fluff! It's 100% fluff and is just the product of my joy at being on Chirstmas break! Please forgive me. You have been warned!
Please send feedback! I love to know what you think. No flames please, but if you really feel the need to flame...get a duraflame log! And now, at long last, on to the story....

Part Three
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joyce and Giles were seated in his office talking over a cup of tea. Joyce had, knowing that Buffy was at Angel's, spent the night at Giles' place. They had spent almost the whole night talking about their future, and when they would tell Buffy. Joyce had neglected to mention Buffy's news, deciding it was up to her daughter and Angel how and when they would tell Giles.
"When do you think we should tell her?" Giles asked.
"I don't know...I mean it's kind of a big deal, and in her...and I don't know how she'll take it. She's had such a rough year, I don't want to upset her." Joyce said sighing.
"Neither do I, but we really ought to inform her of our engagment soon."
"You're engaged?" Buffy asked where she was standing with Angel in the doorway.
"I guess that solves that problem." Joyce said, looking over at her daughter for some reaction.
"Congradulations!" Angel told them, coming over to hug his Mother-in-Law, to be. Giles thought there was something different about him but shrugged it off. When Angel let Joyce go, she looked to her daughter and cringed at the face that looked back at her. Buffy stood open mouthed.
"Honey, I know you're a little shocked." Joyce told her daughter.
"Shocked, yeah. That would be a good word. A few more would be angered, betrayed. How could you not tell me?" Buffy questioned. She felt the anger rise as she worked to control her temper.
"It's not like we meant to hurt you Buffy. We just wanted to tell you at the best time." Giles explained.
Angel came up behind his fiancee. "Listen to him Buffy. It's just like our relationship. They weren't sure what everyones reactions would be. You can understand that right?" he asked her. As Angel spoke Giles realized what was different about the vampire.
"Angel. Angel? You're...the sunlight....Angel MOVE!" Giles almost screamed the last word.
"Easy Giles, easy." Angel told him. "That's one of the reasons we're here. It doesn't burn me. We walked here in the sun." Angel said, turning behind him to look at Buffy. "Let's talk about their engagement when we find out what's wrong with me. Deal?"
"Yeah, deal, whatever." Buffy replied with less than full committal.
"But Angel, how? How is this possible? I thought you were a....and they can't go in the sunlight? Right?" Joyce said looking from Giles to Buffy to Angel and back again.
"Right...or at least as far as I know, right." Giles said. "How?"
"We don't know...which is a big part of why we're here...we have some questions Giles, and some news of our own." Buffy said calmly.
"Okay. Would you like a cup of tea or anything?" Buffy and Angel both shook there heads, and they all moved to the main part of the library. Buffy and Angel told Giles all their news. When they were done he sat quietly for a moment, until Joyce touched his arm.
"Um...uh...Well, I believe congradulations are definetly in order!" Giles said smiling. "As to your questions...I honestly don't know the answer. This is all most unprecidented. I believe a, what do you call it...reasearch party is in order. Angel perhaps you could call Willow, Oz, Xander and Cordelia and inform them that their assistance is needed." Angel agreed, and Giles turned to his slayer.
"You do know that I cannot let you patrol carrying a child, don't you?" Giles told her.
"Ooo!" She said, a smile forming on her face "Another plus to the land of mommy hood." They continued with a plan on how to handle the vampire situation in the future.
When they reached an agreement Angel came back into the library. "They're on their way. I didn't tell them exactly what we're researching. I figured I'd rather explain it to all of them just once." Buffy got up, allowing Angel to sit in her chair, then took her place on his lap. Giles nodded.
"So, you're getting married?" Angel asked, his arms around his fiancee.
"We are." Giles smiled at Joyce and took her hand.
"When?" Buffy asked.
"Around August, we think." Joyce said smiling. "Do you know when you are?"
"Well...um, this pregnancy changes things. We talked about it, and we decided around Valentines day. I should still be pretty small in two months, right?" Buffy said, looking to her mother for conformation.
"You should be." she agreed.
"Should be what?" Cordelia asked, entering with Xander.
"Pretty small." Angel said.
"Hey dead....you're in the SUN! Why are you in the sun...why are you alive and in the sun? Small? What's going on?" Xander asked, immensly confused.
"Yes, I'm in the sun, no I'm not burning, and no I do not know why. That is one of the questions we're here to answer. As for small..."
"Hey Buff! Obviously it went fine." Willow said joining the rest of the group, with Oz close behind.
"It did." Buffy said smiling broadly.
"Would someone please explain what's going on?" Cordy asked, looking very confused and not at all happy about it. "And then Xander and I have something to say." Everyone exchanged glances and Buffy and Angel retold their story and their news. Congradulations and hugs were shared by everyone.
"Now, before we get started researching, Xander and I have some news." Cordy said, and Xander came to stand beside her. "We're getting married too."
"This is unbelievable! When?" Willow asked, astounded.
"Well, we were going to wait till this summer, but we decided last night, that since we'll be 18, and graduated with early graduation and all by Valentines day we're going to get married then. It's just so romantic." Xander said smiling at his fiancee.
"Whoa. That's just so...odd!" Oz said. "Willow and I decided the same thing last night. We're going to get married on Valentines too, since we're both graduating early too."
"We can have a triple wedding!" Willow said smiling.
"We should!" Buffy said. "That would be really amazing." Everyone in the room agreed. "Now, let's get down to that research."
