It's never just black or white anymore.
Never just day to night.
There's so many shades gray now.
So I pray for simplicity and understanding
In the dark of the day.

Just when I thought
We could share more
Than the feeling in our hearts,
Fate sliced us both in one night.

The sky turned its midnight blue
And the clouds grew the darkest black.
They've been following me ever since
And its been raining in my heart.

I didn't know this could happen.
I didn't know that one moment of peace
Would cut your soul away.
Now the Angel I knew is dead.
