The sun is coming up
But this is like no other day.
My world as I know it,
It's all changed for me now.

My normal life seems gone
To an irreversible degree.
My world as I know it
Holds no power or awe over me.

This morning is sprinkled with the dew,
The tears of my duty.
My world as I know it
Now lacks its once familiar simplicity.

My struggle between fate and family
Finally came to a head at dawn.
My struggle between right and wrong
Finally became clear to me,
As I stabbed what I longed for
Right through the heart
And watched my hopes and dreams
Get sucked straight into hell.
