This night everything changed.
We were turned into our costumes.
It showed, sides of us,
sides of our personality
That we can't show, or are afraid to see.

You saw tonight, how much I want to know
about your life.
You shed some light on a little bit
and when it hits my eyes, it blinds me
and I don't want to fight.

But, how do I know
That what you're telling me
Is for real,
or part of a big mystery?

When we look into each other's eyes,
it feels like bliss.
But I get scared, when we kiss
For I don't know, if you'll lose control
and I'll pay the price,
for my sacrifice
To this blind love
that grabs me like a vice

I want to hear you say you want me
I want to hear that you need me
I want to hear you say, you love me.
Half of me, says this is right, in the middle of the night
That this is the best thing, to happen in my life
The other half knows that I'm right,
to be completely filled with fright.

You read me like, an open book;
But, what if I'm the bait,
and you're the hook?

Do you know how much self-doubt I have,
When I wonder, what this really is?
The thing that brings us together,
is what fills my mind with fright.

We're walking a tightrope, in the sky.
Trying to keep balance, so we don't fall
into the bottomless pit of endless night.

In this blind love,
That can never be
We both keep agreeing not to see.
