"A penny saved is a penny earned." Dawn read the fortune aloud and rolled her eyes, then leaned over towards Spike. "What does yours say?" she asked the vampire. "Embrace your fears." he answered with a disgusted _expression. The Scoobies were pigging out on Chinese food at the Magick Box and discussing the latest end-of-the-world prophecy the council had sent Giles. Xander and Buffy had both demanded food before they discussed anything demonic. Buffy leaned back in her chair, and shoved the rest of her food away, patting her tummy with a satisfied smile. "Don't mind if I do." Xander said, before taking her food. Buffy rolled her eyes, then got a serious _expression on her face. "So what did they find?" she asked Giles.
"The prophecy was quite vague, but the council wouldn't have faxed it unless it was important. It says the greatest evil will take form, and the two warriors will become one to defeat it." Buffy raised an eyebrow and bit her lip. "Huh? Weird." she turned to Spike, who sat on her left, "Does that mean anything to you?" she asked the peroxide blond vamp. He shook his head. "Does this mean research party?" Dawn asked. "Not for you. You have school tomorrow." Buffy answered, then looking at Spike she asked, "Can you take her home, and keep an eye on her? Don't let her near the weapons, or kitchen, and make sure she's really asleep before you leave, or crash in the basement if you want. I don't know when I'll be home." He nodded and stood up, reaching a hand out to Dawn, "Lets go little bit." he said. She glared at her sister, but took Spike's hand anyway, secretly thrilled that she gotta spend some time alone with the cute vamp, without having to watch him make moon eyes at her big sis.
"This is creepy Giles." Buffy said as she read the fortune that came with her cookie. "What is?" he asked. "My fortune. It says the light warrior and the dark warrior will join and become one. This is so unfair. Not even the food aspect of my life is sacred from slayerdom." she moaned. "It does sound like it might have something to do with the prophecy." Tara said. "Maybe. If it does, then I wonder who the dark warrior is, cause I think I'm the light one. I am the light warrior right?" Buffy turned to Giles seeking confirmation. "Most likely, on both questions. I'm just curious as to what it means when they say the light warrior will join with the dark warrior, and what the outcome may be." Giles answered. "Maybe the dark warrior is Spike?" Xander suggested. Buffy glared. "Oh! I think I know! If Xander's right, and the dark warrior's Spike, then maybe they join in an orgasm kind of way and make a baby that will grow up and defeat the big evil." Anya suggested, causing Buffy to get a horrified _expression on her face as she turned to Giles. "That's not it. Please tell me that's not it." she begged. Giles patted her shoulder reassuringly. "Vampires can't have babies, so I'm positive that's not the case." Buffy sighed relieved, and got up to go find a different book as the Magick Box door slammed opened. Without turning around, Buffy said "I thought I told you to stay and keep an eye on Dawnie." her friends jaws dropped and she turned apprehensively, afraid she'd half to rip up her new skirt to fight some idiotic demon. What she faced was much worse as far as she was concerned. "OhMiGod." she said, as Faith dropped her backpack on the ground. "What? No hug?" the rogue slayer asked.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Buffy demanded to know, angrily. "Council guys got me outta prison, and sent me here. Said something about the First Evil and a prophecy. Oh, and they gave me this." she answered, holding up a disk thingy that looked eerily similar to the one she had used to switch bodies with Buffy last year. "What's it do?" Buffy asked suspiciously. "I don't know. They didn't say, told me Giles would know." Faith answered as she handed the disk to Giles. "Oh dear god." he said. "What? What's it do?" Buffy and Faith asked in unison, then turned to glare at each other. "It joins you're bodies. Permanently, I believe." he answered.
"What?!" everyone exclaimed at once. "I think I have an idea of what the prophecy means, but we should wait until tomorrow when Dawn get's home from school, since I still need to do some researching, and if I'm right, she will need to be there. We can all meet at Buffy's house to discuss it then, so make sure Spike stays there Buffy." Giles suggested, and everyone nodded their agreement. "What should we do till then?" Buffy asked. "Buffy, you and Faith go on patrol, see if you find any of the first's bringers. When you're finished, go home and get some sleep. Faith, do you have a place to stay?" he asked the brunette, "Yay, at B's house." she answered with a smirk. Buffy turned and glared at Faith, then sighed, if they we're going to beat this thing, she would have to put her feelings for Faith aside. "Oh fine then." Buffy said with a pout.
Buffy and Faith we're in Buffy's room. "So, how do you feel about this joint body thingy?" Buffy asked. "I don't know. Pretty creeped out. What about you?" Faith answered. "Pretty much the same. Seriously creeped out. Do you think we'll have to do it?" Buffy asked. "Probably, Giles is almost never wrong, and if the First Evil's;l's taken form, then we'd pretty much have no other choice. In out own body's we're strong, but sharing one...we'd be unbeatable. Think of the power we'd have. Two Slayers in one body. Pretty wicked huh?" Faith answered as they changed into pajamas. "Yeah, I guess, what do you think we should call our joint self?" Buffy asked, and Faith smirked. "I don't know and who really cares?" Faith replied. Buffy glared, "I care." Buffy yawned as she crawled into bed. Faith rolled her eyes and turned the light off as she crawled in next to her. "So tell me about Spike. We had this really interesting encounter when I stole your body, which I didn't know was going to happen by the way, not that I didn't enjoy it, but anyways, did he ever get the chip out of his head, and why is he here? And what's up with you two? Rumor has it he's got the Angel syndrome now." Faith asked. Buffy groaned and shrugged, Spike was the last thing she wanted to think about. "He doesn't have a soul or anything, but he does help out, especially with Dawnie. She's got a major crush on him, and according to him he's in love with me." Buffy answered. "Really, and how do you feel about that?" Faith asked. "I think that chips finally drove him nuts. And I don't want to have this conversation anymore. So shut up and go to sleep." Faith laughed. "So you like him too." Buffy elbowed her. Hard. "Shut. Up. Faith."
*The next day, after Dawn gets home from school,*
"So, did you figure out what the prophecy means yet?" Dawn asked later the next afternoon, as the Scoobie Gang had it's meeting in The Summer's living room. Giles nodded. "If my calculations are correct, than it means the First Evil is going to take a solid form, and to defeat her the light warrior, Buffy, and the dark warrior, Faith, will have to use this to join bodies. Unfortunately, the result may be permanent" Giles answered. "Bloody hell! You mean there's gonna be another super slayer running around town again?" Spike groaned. "Exactly." Giles replied. "What do you mean again?" Buffy asked Spike. "Sometime earlier this century, during my first visit to the hellmouth, another Slayer was here and to defeat the big bad, at that time a pure demon who had escaped the hellmouth, she had to join bodies with one of the potentials. Let's just say the result made me and Dru get out of Sunnyhell as soon as darkness hit." Spike answered. "Really? Cool. What-" Faith was interrupted by Dawn though, "When's the First supposed to take solid form?" she asked. Giles sighed heavily, "Tonight." he answered. Buffy's eyes widened in shocked disbelief. "Tonight? That means that Faith and I will have to join bodies like now. Isn't there some way to defeat it without doing this?" she asked. "I'm sorry Buffy and Faith, but I don't believe there is. The First will know both you're weakness's and expose them to the best of it's advantage, plus it's strength will equal that of a pure demon, unlike the hybrid vampire. Combined, you two will be even stronger than that. I do suggest that you do it as soon as possible, so you have at least a few hours to get used to sharing a body before you need to face the First." Giles answered. Faith stood up, "Well here goes nothing then" she said as Giles handed her the disk. She held it in her palm and reached for Buffy's hand. They clasped hands and one shimmering bright light later, there was one girl instead of two standing before the rest of the Scoobies's. "Wow!" Xander said as his eyes widened, practically popping out of his head.
The Super Slayer had Faith's body and facial features, with Buffy's hair and eyes. "Do you know us?" Willow asked. "Of course I do silly. How do we look?" The girl answered in both Buffy and Faith's voices. "You look great, amazing even-" Xander started, but Anya elbowed him hard in the ribs, and the girl laughed. "Ouch." Buffy/Faith started to say something, probably another question regarding her looks, but Giles interrupted, frustrated, "As interesting as this conversation is, you two should start training. Get used to the body." Buffy/Faith grinned, and rubbed her hands together Monty Burns style, "Excellent. This bitch is going down."
While Buffy/Faith was training, Spike and Giles were talking. "Are you sure this thing will work?" the watcher asked Spike. "The sorcerer guy said it would and he's part of the original coven who created the fusers." the vampire answered. "Good enough." Dawn walked over to them, curious. "What's that?" she asked, pointing at the disk Giles held, that looked similar to the one that had just poofed away when Buffy and Faith had fused. "This will, uh, revert Buffy and Faith back to normal after they defeat the First." Giles answered. Dawn's eyes lit up. "really?!" she asked, excited. "Really." Spike answered, amused with his little bit's reaction. "Good, cause honestly, this super slayer things kinda creepy. I mean, Buffy was full of herself enough as it was but now...sheesh." Spike and Giles laughed at this. "I agree little bit, so why don't you go give this to the witch, and giver everyone the good news?" Spike suggested. Dawn nodded her consent, and taking the disk, walked over towards the rest of the Scoobies.
Buffy/Faith kicked the five-hundred pound punching bag, as hard as she could and smiled happily as it split open, straight down the middle, it's stuffing pouring out. "Giles, we need a new bag." she yelled. "Again?" Spike and Xander grumbled, as they went to get the last of the five they had bought. "Don't they, I mean doesn't she realize these things way a ton? How does she keep killing them?" Xander asked as he returned with Spike to the main entrance of the Magick Box. "She is kinda militant about it isn't she?" Willow said. "You know, I don't think militant quite covers it. I've never seen her want to kill something this bad." Xander replied. "I think it's the mix of personalities, Faith's always had that lust for the kill and mix that with Buffy's massive hatred for the First and what it almost did to Angel, and you've got one pissed off Slayer." suggested Willow. "The sun's going down, and the First's transformation should be complete." Giles broke in, and Willow left to tell Buffy/Faith, then stopped short. "What do I call her? I can't keep calling her she." she asked. Spike rolled his eyes and jumped off the counter, "I got this. Slayer! Move your sweet little ass it's time to go!" he yelled. "Coming!" she yelled back. She gave one last kick to the punching bag and gave it a satisfied smirk as it split open. "Let's go." she said as she grabbed her bag of weapons and stood next to Spike. "So you really think I have a sweet ass?" she asked, and everyone, including the vampire looked at her like she was nuts. "What?" she asked innocently. "Nothing." they answered, shaking their heads collectively on their way out, but as Xander and Anya passed through the door she heard Xander whisper to his girlfriend, "Giles didn't say anything about a sever personality change did he?" Buffy/Faith stopped suddenly, realizing something was off. She turned and pointed at Dawn. "Oh no, you'e staying here." she said. Dawn pouted, and glared but Buffy/Faith ignored her and walked off. Dawn walked back into the Magick Box and sat down. "This blows." she grumbled to herself.
"Well, if it isn't the Slayerettes. Tell me, where's you're Slayer?" The First said in an oddly familiar voice. It turned around and the Scoobies jaws dropped in shock, the First had taken on the form of...Dawn! "Oh, don't sound so disappointed, I'm, or well, we're right here." Buffy/Faiths eyes widened and she stopped short, "Holy shit." she muttered. "Giles, quick, if Buffy/Faiths got half of each's personalities, does that mean she has their personal weaknesses too?" Willow asked. The ex-watcher nodded. "The First thought it was only dealing with Buffy, so it took on the face that Buffy loved most, the one face she would never be able to bring herself to kill." Giles answered. "Yeah, but she's part Faith too, and Dawn isn't Faith's sister, hell Faith's tried to kill Dawnie three times herself, like the time when Dawn followed Willow, Angel and Buffy and got kidnapped along with Willow, Faith was just going to kill her, but Willow talked her out of it, and then the other time when Faith first woke up from the coma and Dawn was waiting for Buffy at the hospital, Faith went after her, but Dawnie managed to get to Giles and tell us that Faith was back...And then the last time was when-" Willow cut Xander off with a glare, and sighed. "Let's just hope Faiths personality is more dominant than Buffy's, otherwise, we're screwed." Anya broke in, stating the obvious as usual. "So...here we are...the student takes on the teacher...or something like that." The First said, trying to psych Buffy/Faith out. "Yeah, or not." Buffy/Faith smirked. "What are you talking about, I learned everything I know just from watching you...sis." The First said, taking on an innocent Dawn _expression.
"You're not my sister." Buffy/Faith said with a glare, that was almost instantly replaced with an inquisitive look. "So how'd you do it? Dawnies not dead, and I thought you could only take on the faces of the dead." she asked. "No, she's not dead, but she's not exactly human either, not really. That's the little twist that's made this whole thing possible. By sending the Key down to earth the Monks made it possible for me and my solid half, you know her as Glory, to become whole again and once we located the key, all we had to do was wait for you to leave her unguarded before joining our body with hers. All I needed to do after that was change my appearance so that it was the exact image of the Dawn you know. It's kinda ironic isn't it. Because your little sister's a mystical whosit, I'm going to kill you, and send this pathetic plane into an eternal hell." Buffy/Faith rolled her eyes. "You're forgetting one thing, or well, actually two things. First of all, I'm only half Buffy, and second of all, I know you're not my sister. I'll have no problems killing you." The First leaned back on her heels, another Dawn-like movement, "Just like Angelus wasn't Angel? Deal with it ssister this is the part of me that I've been hiding, the real me, the part of me that's just like you, the part that's an evil killer, the part that's just like Angel. You know, I always did have sort of a crush on him. I think we'll have some fun once I revert him back to Angelus." The First smirked, and Buffy/Faith balled her fists angrily, the bitch was taking it too far, daring to mention Angel's name. That was one of the few things the two slayers shared, they had both loved Angel. "This isn't anything like Angel becoming Angelus, and can we please fight now, 'cuz really, all this talks starting to bore me." Buffy/Faith said right before delivering a roundhouse kick to the Firsts face.
The First retaliated with a sweep kick that knocked the Slayer on her ass. She jumped right back up though, and delivered a series of punches to the Firsts face. Not a single one connected. The First retaliated with a kick to the face. Buffy/Faith staggered back, and the First jumped behind her so that she was now on the other side of the room, and she had taken the Slayers sword with her. Buffy/Faith saw nothing but air, so she let her instincts take over, and didn't hesitate as she did a series of back flips, and spinning low, sweep kicked the First. Her sword fell to the ground with a loud clang, and Buffy/Faith quickly picked it up, and stabbed the First in the heart, then cut off her head, before falling to the ground. Rolling over she saw a glowing light hover above the Firsts body, as if saying goodbye, then it disappeared. "What the hell was that?" she asked Giles as she stood up and dusted herself off. "I believe it was the Key that Glory kept going on and on about. It looks like it's finally free from whatever prison it was held in on this plane. "Yeah, well good for it, so what's for dinner?" she asked as they walked out of the Firsts cave. Just as they had made memories of Dawn for Buffy, they erased those memories when the Key was released, and Glorificus was destroyed.
