Part Two

The Slayerettes all sat in the library, concerned and impatient, waiting for Giles to get off the phone with Joyce Summers.
"Yes.... I know this is hard to... apprehend, but it is the truth. I understand you are worried, so am I, but...... yes I'm sure.......Do you have any idea, any idea at all, where she might be?....alright..... I will inform you if I know of her whereabouts...Your welcome.Goodbye."
The Slayerettes looked up and to their disappointment, found Giles looking very solemn.
"G-man, does she know where she is?" Xander asked, having not listened since he was too busy thinking about Buffy to pay attention to Giles' conversation.
"From what Joyce told me, Buffy is .....gone." Giles replied, sounding very serious.
"Gone? As in dead?" Willow asked, tears welling up in her eyes.
"No, I'm sorry if that's what it sounded like." Giles apologized. He sighed, "She.....ran away."
Xander's jaw dropped. "She what?"
"She ran away." Giles repeated.
"Why? What happened?" Cordelia asked actually sounding worried.
Giles took off his glasses and leaned against the table."Apparently, Buffy had an argument with her mother and then walked out of the house, disregarding her mother's threat of not allowing her back in if she walked out. So the next morning Buffy still hadn't come home, Joyce found a note on her bed, which was strewn with clothes. Also, her suitcase was gone. It said in Buffy's note that her presence was a danger to everyone around her, that it took four deaths of people close to her for her to realize that. She said even though she loves us very deeply, she is gone and never coming back."
The Slayerettes were all still, they were shocked. They all sat in silence for at least ten minutes until someone finally spoke up.
"Four deaths? I only know of the teacher and that other Slayer." Oz said sounding confused.
This question brought up many thoughts. Who else died? Then one person, well actually vampire, came to mind.
"Angel" they all realized and said in harmony.
"B-But the spell?" Willow said, her voice quavering.
"I guess I was right. Maybe it was too late. Maybe she had to kill him." Xander said rather arrogantly.
Everyone glared at him.
"Sorry."
"Well whatever happened it was enough to make her run away." Giles said, still glaring at Xander.
Willow began to cry as the whole situation sunk in. Xander joined in soon after followed by the rest of them. Even Cordelia realized how special Buffy really is.
Giles began to sob. It was like losing a daughter. That was how much Buffy meant to him.
A tear rolled down Oz's cheek. He hated to see people cry, especially his precious Willow.
The Slayerettes just cried and held each other over the loss of their beloved protector and friend.
