Angel threw his keys on to the dresser as he entered his apartment. He walked over to the fridge and drained a bag of blood, before switching on the radio. The end of a slow love song began to flow out of the speakers.
* One sentimental moment in your arms
Is like a shooting star right through my heart
It’s always a rainy day without you
I’m a prisoner of love inside of you
I’m falling apart all around you. *
"Great," Angel growled to himself, "just what I need a song to remind me how much love hurts."
But the song also reminded him of Buffy, which brought a smile to his lips. As quickly as it had appeared his smile faded.
The first song ended and another began to play,
* There’s no time for us

What is this thing that builds our dreams
Yet slips away from us *
* Who wants to live forever?
Who wants to live forever… *
"Not me." Angel spat bitterly as he sat down on the couch to listen to the rest of the song.
* There’s no chance for us
It’s all decided for us. *
"Who wrote this song?! Another vampire in love with a Slayer?" < I love her? Yeah I guess I do… >
* Who wants to live forever
Who dares to love forever
When love must die. *
Angel was pacing the room now.
* But touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips
And we can have forever
And we can love forever
Forever is our today. *
With that Angel headed back out into the night, not bothering to turn the radio off or even shut the door. He was halfway up the stairs when he heard the last part of the song.
* Who waits forever anyway? *
He smiled and started to jog towards the Bronze.
