Am I Right For Him?: 2
by Spikes Queen
The next day, Buffy walked into the library, after school was over. “Hey, Giles.”
“Buffy,” Giles said, as a greeting. “I’m not able to find anything on our new friend, Spike.”
“He’s a vampire,” Buffy said, sitting at the table. “He has a soul though. He told me he never lost it when he was turned. Is that even possible?”
“I’ll have to find out,” Giles said, looking at her with concern. “Buffy, are you alright?”
Buffy looked up at him and blushed. “I really like him,” she whispered. “I’ll bring him by tonight so you can meet him if you want.”
Giles took off his glasses and began cleaning them. “I think that’d be wise,” he said, putting his glasses back on.
Buffy smiled. “Thanks, Giles,” she said.
That night, Buffy was patrolling when she found Spike fighting vampires. She watching him a for a few minutes before joining the fight.
They dusted the last of the vampires and Spike looked at with affection.
Buffy smiled a little and put her stake in her belt. “I want you to meet someone,” she said, batting her eyes at him.
“Am I in trouble?” Spike asked.
Buffy laughed. “No, but um, if we’re gunna have any kind of relationship, I want you to know who I am.”
Spike smiled and kissed her cheek. “Lets go,” he whispered.
Buffy smiled and they started walking toward the school.
“Buffy, how do you know Angel?” Spike asked, casually.
Buffy sighed. “I met him when I first moved here. He fell in love with me I think but he’s so secretive. I wasn’t entirely sure I could trust him,” she said.
“You can trust me,” Spike said.
“Promise?” Buffy asked, fearfully.
“Promise,” Spike said, as they entered the library.
Willow and Xander were there and stood up when Buffy came in. “Hey Buff,” Xander said.
Buffy smiled and pulled Spike toward them. “They’re not gunna bite,” she said. “Guys this is Spike. He’s a vampire but he has a soul.”
“Like Angel?” Willow asked.
“No,” Buffy and Spike said.
“Spike, this is Willow and Xander,” Buffy said. “My best friends.”
Spike gave them each a smile and Xander walked over to him. “So you’re not cursed?”
“Nope,” Spike said. “Hate the guy too.”
“You do?” Xander asked. “Thank god.”
Spike smiled and left the guys alone. She went over to Willow to give her the juicy details. “I like him,” she whispered.
Willow smiled and they began to gossip.
Giles came out of his office and frowned when he saw a man with bleached blonde hair. “Buffy?”
Buffy stood up. “Giles, this is Spike,” she said. “Spike, this is Giles. My watcher.”
Spike held out his hand politely. “Pleasure.”
Giles smiled. “You’re English,” he said, shaking Spike’s hand.
Buffy smiled realized Spike and Giles would get along. She went to Spike’s side and leaned against him. “You fit right in,” she said, fondly.
Spike wrapped an arm around her. “Did you think otherwise?” He teased.
“No one here really trusts Angel,” Buffy said, softly.
Spike squeezed her shoulders comfortingly. “We don’t have to talk about him if it makes you upset,” he said.
Willow smiled at the 2 of them. “Who’s up for a little bronzing?” She asked, hopefully.
Buffy looked at Giles. “Do you need anything?” She asked.
“Uh, no,” Giles said. “You go have fun.”
Buffy smiled and pulled Spike toward the door.
“Nice meeting you,” Spike called as Buffy yanked him out of the library with her friends.
