Time to Talk: 3

by Spikes Queen

Eventually, Spike took Buffy home. Buffy dragged him inside and he had an armful of teenager.

“I’m so glad you stayed,” Dawn said, squeezing him tightly.

Buffy smiled a little. “I convinced him to stay,” she said, going over to her friends. “You probably want answers.”

Nods came from everyone.

Buffy sighed. “I’m seeing Spike. I’ve been seeing him for a while. I didn’t think he would leave so I never thought about it. Tomorrow, I have some stuff to explain to Spike then you guys can ask questions. Right now, I’m exhausted and I wanna get some sleep,” she said, going over to Dawn and Spike.

Spike looked at her. “You okay?”

Buffy smiled. “Yeah. Dawnie?”

Dawn picked her head up from Spike’s chest. “Yeah?”

Buffy smiled a little. “Bed time,” she said.

Dawn rolled her eyes playfully. “I’m going,” she said, looking up at Spike. “Good night Spike.”

“Night, Nibblet,” Spike said, kissing her forehead.

Dawn reluctantly left Spike’s arms and went upstairs.

Buffy looked at Spike. “Come on. We’re going to bed also,” she said, pulling him upstairs.

In her room, Spike stopped short. “Buffy..”

Buffy placed a finger over his lips. “We’re just going to sleep. I don’t wanna start our new relationship with sex, okay?” She asked.

Spike smiled back and kissed her forehead.

Buffy smiled. “Um…how did you get thing off?” She asked, referring to her ninja wear.

Spike turned her around and undid it. “Like that,” he said, kissing her bare shoulder.

Buffy sighed in pleasure. “Mmmm. I don’t know how people move in this thing,” she said, pulling on her t-shirt. “That’s better.”

Spike shook his head and smiled. He shrugged off his duster and placed it on Buffy’s chair. “You’re one very weird girl,” he said, sitting on her bed.

Buffy smiled and finished changing her clothes. “I’m not weird. I’m unique,” she said, straddling his hips.

“That you are,” Spike said, stroking her sides.

Buffy pushed up against him. “Dawn told me about the eggs.” she said, her arms around his neck.

“I figured,” Spike said.

“I’m sorry,” Buffy said, closing her eyes.

Spike kissed her softly. “Not you fault,” he said.

Buffy sniffled. “You let me get away with too much. You shouldn’t always brush it off,” she said.

“I’m not gunna yell at you for being scared,” Spike said.

“Yeah, but..” Buffy said.

Spike silenced her with a small kiss. “Shhh. Tomorrow, we’ll talk. Right now, you’re gunna get some sleep,” he said, laying her in bed.

Buffy smiled a little as he climbed in next to her. He spooned against her back and nuzzled her neck. “Goodnight Pet,” he whispered.

“Night Spike,” she whispered, her eyes falling closed.

When Spike woke, Buffy was still slumbering beside him peacefully. After a few minutes, she stirred.

“Spike,” she mumbled.

“Buffy,” he said, kissing her hair.

“What time is it?” She asked.

“’Tis only 8:30,” Spike said.

“I guess we should talk,” Buffy said.

Spike sighed. “I guess.”

“It’s easier if I just lay here and tell you everything. I’m scared and I cant make it stop. I didn’t meant to be so mean or push you away but I don’t want you to leave and I don’t know if I can make you stay,” she said, softly.

Spike kissed her forehead. “Just give me a reason besides Dawn,” he said.

Buffy smiled and relaxed against him. “I never want you to leave,” she said. “I need you.”

“That’s a good enough reason,” Spike said, softly.
