Doomed: Part One

Summary: When the genetically engineered monsters land on Earth, it seems like the end. However, one PO'd Slayer, a couple of the worlds best Marines, a hacker and a Mormon sniper are about to beat the odds. Authors Notes: Hey, it had to happen sometime. This is right after Fly and his ragtag band set off for LA. However, the train is unexpectedly derailed, making the other part of the book moot. This is set after Ted in the Buffyverse.

Part One

Albert took point as Arlene and Fly snuck down the alley. Jill followed closely behind.

A sudden rustling made the four freeze, and they whirled around to see a pale woman in a white satin dress watching them. Fly leveled his rifle at her and demanded "Who are you?"

The woman smiled rather strangely. "I am Druscilla." she replied in a strangely lisping voice. She walked towards them slowly. The group kept their guns trained on her.

Jill noticed the blood around Druscilla's mouth, and gestured at it. "Where'd that come from?" she asked her.

Druscilla's face suddenly morphed into that of a demon, and she snarled "From dinner!" She leapt at Jill.

Jill shot her several times. Blood ran out of Druscilla, but she didn't seem particularly affected by it. Druscilla kept coming.

Albert dug in a sidepouch, and jumped in front of Jill, holding out a cross. With a hiss, Druscilla retreated, face averted from the cross.

"Shit! A real demon!" gasped Arlene. Fly looked similarly shocked. Then the four noticed that several other vampires were lurking in the shadows.

"Uh, Fly?" said Arlene

"Yeah?"

"I suggest we make a strategic retreat." said the redhead.

"GRANTED! RUN!" This as the vampires lunged at them.

The four ran back down the alley, and around a corner. And found themselves cornered in a dead end. They turned around as the vampires filled the way out.
