Spike stirred and look at Buffy then at Dawn. He smiled at his 5 year old Nibblet. He kissed her hair and thought about his baby. He leaned his head against the back of the couch and enjoyed the company of his girls.

Dawn snuggled deeper into his side and Spike felt her getting bigger.

He looked down at her and she was growing into her normal size.

Buffy stirred and sat up groggily. “Spike?”

Spike gently maneuvered Dawn into his arms. “Dawn?”

Dawn stirred and he eyes fluttered open. “Hi,” she said, softly.

“You okay?” Spike asked, worriedly.

Dawn looked down at her body and
smiled. “Yeah, I’m okay,” she said. “You still took care
of me.”

“Did you think I wouldn’t?” Spike asked.

“A little,’ Dawn said, looking down to avoid his eyes.

“Nibblet, I will always take care of you,” Spike said, pulling her gaze back to his.

Buffy, not really comfortable with the heart to heart hat was going on in front of here, touched Dawn’s shoulder. “Dawnie, not to overwhelm you, but Spike and I are going to have a baby,” she said, happily.

Dawn’s eyes widened. “A….baby?” She asked.

Buffy nodded. “Yeah,” she said, smiling.

Dawn began to think for a minute. “Vampires cant have children,” she said. “And you’ve been sleeping with Spike?”

Buffy blushed lightly. “Yeah,” she said, softly. “There’s some stuff we have to tell you.”

Dawn looked at Spike and he nodded. “Like what?” She asked, looking back at Buffy.

“Since I’ve been back,” Buffy said, softly. “I haven’t been the same. My emotions are a jumbled mess, I’m a lot more violent then I used to be. I haven’t felt normal things.”

“You mean for me and the gang?” Dawn asked, tears in her voice.

Buffy bowed her head for a second before looking at her sister. “Dawn, I haven’t felt any kind of feeling except when I’m with Spike,” she whispered.
Tears slid out of Dawn’s eyes and she stood up. “Then I guess I’ll get out of your way so you and Spike can make baby plans and just pretend I’m not here,” she said, going upstairs.

Buffy looked at Spike with tears in her eyes. “I can’t believe that just happened,” she whispered.

“I think I better go talk to her,” Spike whispered, going up after her. He paused outside her room and knocked. “Nibblet?”

“Go away,” She growled.

Spike put his hands on his hips. “Open this door right now, young lady,” he said, in a fatherly voice.

Dawn swung her door open with fire in her eyes. “Who do you think you are?” She growled. “You are not my father and you never cared about me. All you care about is getting in my sister’s pants. I’m sorry I was such a burden to you but you don’t have to pretend anymore.”

“Is that what you think I was doing?” Spike asked, crossing his arms.

“You proved it,” Dawn said, mimicking his pose.

“Yeah, I guess I did,” Spike said. “I almost died protecting you but I was only pretending so your dead sister would come back.”

Dawn watched as Spike turned and went downstairs with tears in his eyes. She closed the door and collapsed on her bed sobbing.
