It began years ago. With riddles about the two Slayers.

Yeah you heard me right. Two Slayers. The Watchers don't understand, they are as stupid now as they were centuries ago.

Decades ago, their stupidity decimated the elves. Now it has cost them a Slayer.

My name is Whistler. I'm an immortal demon sent down to keep the balance. I saw this story. I lived it. Things change over time. Some things stay the same.

This is the story of Joyce Thompson. Slayer, and half-elf. One of the best there ever was.

She isn't dead. She did survive the years. Thing is, she can't remember anything. Her daughter is the Slayer now, as she is supposed to be. And one of the best.

If the Watchers ever knew who Joyce Summers' daughter is, or what she is, they would try to kill her. You see, Buffy Summers is the only Slayer to come of age. And one of the last elves of almost full blood.

She doesn't know herself, what she is. What will happen to her in three months. She's celebrated her eighteenth birthday. It isn't really her real birthday. And the man she calls Daddy isn't her father.

Her father was the last of the full blood elves. This is his story too.

And the small rhyme that endures with me. This is it's story as well.

"So see here solemn, in elvenlight glow,"

"Two Slayers of up high, and one down below."

"When the time comes, one dark, one light."

"Inside the circle, but one will survive the night."

"One shall betray the other, and know evils call,

"Yet the other will strike her down with Elven Slayer's might."

"And one shall raise the light one up."

"A Slayer of half blood to bear the one of light and sun."

Adayla is the true name of Buffy Summers. Here is how she got her name.
