The Xander Gander: November 2nd, 2001
by slayerfest
Last night Anya started singing in the middle of… well. There were coconuts. I couldn’t decide if it was hot or just weird.
Later I had some weird dream that Anya was singing about math and trolls. Actually I’m pretty sure I’m just choosing to believe that it was dream.
I think my happy ending is starting to work. I’m…
I’m…
I’m…
Hoping for the best for us,
Just hoping for the best;
But in amongst my love for her
Some doubts just will not rest.
She’s sweet, she’s smart, so full of grace;
The knot I wish to tie,
But though I love her very much,
I have to ask, “but why?”
[Key/Tempo change]
Just look at my parents, wed for twenty years
(The likely and probable source of my fears);
Their moments of glory, of love and of cheers
Are plainly outweighed by their moments of tears.
[Key/Tempo 1]
As I watch her, fast asleep,
My doubts are wiped away…
I’ll marry this girl, any time,
And every other day.
Now I feel a certain fool;
She’s the rest of my life.
She stirs, so I will end my song…
I love my future wife.
