Adam teleported Willow and the nearly unconscious Slayer to the ship. Upon arriving, he noticed that Willow seemed fine but having never teleported before, she was understandably confused. Especially about being inside an alien ship. After confirming that she would be okay, Adam realized that Megabyte was not there. After a quick telepathic call to him, with no reply, Adam teleported outside to the water's edge to search for his friend. He found Megabyte floating, face down and not breathing. He quickly teleported them both back to the ship. Upon their arrival, a recovered Willow began CPR on Megabyte to revive him, while Adam used his healing powers to help. After a tense minute, Megabyte began to cough and spit up the water that was in his lungs. Adam and Willow helped him into a sitting position. Leaving Willow to watch Megabyte, Adam checked on Buffy. She seemed to be getting better, because she was sitting up. Adam decided that a few minutes were needed for the two to recover.
"Willow, you stay here with Buffy and Megabyte, while I check on the others at the library," requested Adam.
"Okay, but be careful and hurry back," warned Willow.
"I will," Adam said as he teleported back to the library.
He materialized in Giles's office and after making sure the coast was clear, looked out into the library. It was empty. He wondered where Masters was...it was not like the villain to leave without his mission completed. However, a note taped to the computer told him everything he needed to know.
The note said, "If you want to see your friends again, be at Ms. Summer's house in two hours to find out what you need to do -- Masters."
After reading note and realizing that he could do nothing, Adam decided to teleport back to the ship to let the others know what happened. He materialized in the ship behind Buffy and Willow, startling them. He gave Buffy the note.
"Okay this makes me mad. Nobody messes with my friends and gets away with it!" remarked Buffy determinedly. "We have to come up with a plan to stop Masters and his goon squad. Any ideas?"
"Well, maybe they don't know that we know where their hideout is...and maybe we use that to surprise them or something," Willow suggested.
"That sounds good, Will. I mean they might have expected two teleporters but not two teleporters, a Slayer, and a Hacker. They don't know we know where they are headed," remarked Buffy.
"Well, we can teleport you there, but we wont be much help in a fight," warned Megabyte.
"But we can give them more targets, and help Buffy by distracting them," interjected Adam.
"Sounds like a plan to me, but first let's go back to the library for some supplies," remarked Buffy as she and Willow stepped closer and held on to Megabyte and Adam to teleport to the library.
Upon arriving at the library, Buffy went over the weapons cabinet and opened it up. From the collection of weapons ranging from staffs to swords, Buffy chose a crossbow for herself and one for Willow.
"This should help even the odds," remarked Buffy as she handed the weapon to Willow.
"Hope you been practicing Willow."
"I have Buffy," replied Willow.
"You guys sure you don't want a weapon of some kind?" asked Buffy.
"No, we can't kill, so weapons are not that useful to us," stated Adam.
"Oh well, can't say I didn't try," said Buffy.
"Well then if you are ready then lets get this thing going," said Megabyte.
The four then teleported to the near the address that Willow and Megabyte provided, careful not to land too close. Since it was near dark and they did not want to give Masters any warning, they did not want to give themselves away with a flash of light. They decided that if would be best to check out the house to see were the men were stationed, and then hit them hard and fast. The plan was for Buffy and Willow to distract Masters and friends, while Adam and Megabyte found Giles and Xander and teleported them to safety. Then they could then return and collect Buffy and Willow.
The plan worked like a charm. Buffy broke down the front door and she and Willow barged in using the door as a shield in case of trouble from the gunmen. While Masters and his men rushed to see what happened, Adam and Megabyte teleported in to the house and began to look for Giles and Xander. They found them in a bedroom tied up and still unconscious. They quickly teleported the pair to the library, then teleported back to retrieve Buffy and Willow. Buffy and Willow had, in the mean time, been holding their own. Buffy took down Wiseman and Jenkins with arrows to the leg and thigh respectively. Willow on the other hand had miscalculated and had missed Masters, but she did manage to hit Wiley in the arm. Once the men realized that they where facing armed opponents, they started to duck for cover and switched from darts to live ammo.
Things became complicated then. Buffy and Willow were trapped with only a door and a couch between them. With bullets directed at them, their only hope was Megabyte and Adam. As if in answer to their thoughts the two teleporters materialized beside them and quickly pulled them to safety. Masters realized their quick departure and ordered the men to stop firing and move out before the police, and General Damon's men showed up. However, as they ran out the door they found something unexpected.

Megabyte called his dad and told him where to find Masters but told him to hurry before they could leave. After scolding Megabyte for disobeying him again and then a quick order to his men General Damon left to catch Masters. While Megabyte was on the phone Buffy Willow and Adam were trying to wake up Giles and Xander. Willow was successful in rousting Xander into a dazed but semi-aware wakefulness. Buffy on the other hand, was worried because she could not wake Giles. She hoped that the blow to his head was not serious, but it seemed more and more likely that the damage was severe as each minute passed and Giles would not wake up.
"I think that hit on the head did some damage. I think he's in a coma," stated a very worried Buffy as she looked at Adam and asked, "Is there anything you can do?"
"I will try, I just hope it works," responded Adam as he placed his hands on Giles head. They began to glow and then the wound on the back of the Watcher's head began to glow and finally, shrink. Adam let out a low sigh and the collapsed into a near by chair to rest.
Buffy looking worriedly at Adam asked, "Are you okay?"
"I will be, when I heal some one it takes a lot of energy. The worse the wound the more the energy I spend," replied the tired Adam as a finally awake Xander and Willow joined them by Giles. As Adam had finished talking, Buffy noticed that Giles looked like he was about to wake up.
Giles raised up quickly and yelled, "Run, Buffy!" before realizing that there was no longer any danger. He then asked, "Um...what happened?"
"Yeah, what did we miss?" echoed Xander.
Buffy and Willow looked at each other then said in unison, "Oh, not much." Then they broke out laughing. As their amusement wore down, they explained to both Xander and Giles what had happened. When that was done, Megabyte interjected the thought that perhaps they should check with his dad and see if Masters and company had been apprehended. Adam teleported Buffy and Willow and Megabyte teleported Xander to a wooded area near Masters's hideout. Giles decided that he had enough and was going to have a cup of tea and rest in his office.
The five arrived on the scene just as Megabyte's Dad came out of the house. He motioned for Megabyte to come over. While he was gone, the others just looked on from their positions behind the police tape. Megabyte returned to tell them that Masters and his men were nowhere to be found. There were signs of the fight but nothing else. It was like they had disappeared into thin air. General Damon decided that Masters must have had a back up plan for escape and had used it. Possibly a helicopter had airlifted them out their car and the van were still in the garage. Megabyte and Adam decided that they should leave the rest to General Damon. Masters was unlikely to try anything with everyone on guard now. The group decided to teleport back to the library to check on Giles. The group materialized in the library just as Giles was sitting down with his tea.
Giles looked up as the come up to him. He looked them over and summarized, "This Masters chap must have vacated the premises before the authorities could descend upon them."
Buffy, Xander and Willow looked at each other and Buffy said, "You mean that they got away, right?"
"Yes, sorry...forgot that I was in the new world," Giles replied haughtily.
"That's okay, Giles. We still love you," replied Buffy happily.
"Well guess that takes care of every thing, I mean the prophecy was fulfilled wasn't it?" asked Willow.
"Apparently so," replied Giles.
"Hey, Buffy, since another prophecy has bit the dust how bout we Bronze it? It's still early and what else is there to do?" asked Xander.
"I don't know...there is still that test I have to study for," answered Willow.
"Come on, Will, we defeated the bad guys and saved the good guys--so let's party," responded Xander.
"Besides that, you have all day tomorrow to study!" added Buffy.
"Oh okay," said Willow. She then looked over and said, "Megabyte, you and Adam going to come too."
"Well..." started Adam.
"Yeah Come on it'll be fun," said Buffy.
Sure, come on Adam," replied Megabyte as he grabbed Adam.
"Okay," said Adam.
"See ya, Giles," called Buffy as she headed for the doors to the library.
"Bye, Giles," echoed the other four as they followed Buffy.
"Yes, well....bye. And, Buffy, do be careful," called Giles.
"We will," Buffy called back.
"Do have some fun--you deserve it," replied Giles quietly to himself as he sipped his tea.
Outside as the five friends were walking toward the Bronze. Megabyte asked, "I wonder what happened to Masters."
I don't know, but I hope that is the last we see of him," answered Adam.
"Me too, but I don't know..." replied the Slayer as she looked to her friends.
Meanwhile, across town in an abandoned warehouse, had any one been around, they would have heard terrible screams and pleas for help.
The End (or is it?)
