Something Fishy: Aquarium

It's Thursday and it's the second week of school. The Sunnydale High school surprised everyone taking Biology by bringing them on a field trip to the Sunnydale Aquarium. Buffy, Willow, Xander, Cordelia and Oz all step off the bus. The hot California weather and the cool air from the ocean makes this the perfect day. They all walk towards the entrance.

CORDELIA: Not that I'm complaining or anything but why would we be going to the aquarium when we can all sun bath?

XANDER: Because it's school Cordy. I'd rather look at fishes all day then be in school.

CORDELIA: Well they should at least have a class on looking good. I could teach that.

XANDER: Of course you could sweetie.

CORDELIA: Oh please.

BUFFY: I'm just glad that we arn't going to the museum again for a field trip. Bad experience. Mummy living at my house and all...

XANDER: Me almost getting mummified...

WILLOW: Me getting left out by my best friend...

CORDELIA: Me having to spend time with someone who acted like they couldn't understand me and then left me for some skank slut at The Bronze...

OZ: I'm not complaining. It was the first time I saw my Willow.

Willow smiles to herself and Buffy nudges her on the arm. They all walk into the entrance waiting in line to get a stamp. Xander looks at his hand and an angry look crosses over his face.

XANDER: A turtle?

CORDELIA: Explains your smell and speed.

They all laugh, except Xander, as they walk into the Aquarium. They are attacked by a horrible smell.

BUFFY: Ew! Penguins.

They all walk over to a barricade and look down. Penguins diving and swimming all over.

WILLOW: Aw. You don't think penguins are cute?

BUFFY: Not really...

A penguin on a rock looks at Buffy. He tilts his head and flaps his flippers.

BUFFY: Ok, maybe they are kind of cute.

OZ: I like him.

XANDER: I'm hungry now.

CORDELIA: Ugh.

BUFFY: You're disgusting.

OZ: Not cool man.

XANDER: I didn't mean it like that! Just leave me alone.

They all leave the penguin exhibit and start walking towards The Tunnel. Once they all walk in they are surrounded by water, of course behind glass or whatever that keeps the water from coming out. All kinds of fish swim around. Even a few little sharks.

BUFFY: Ooo. Pretty.

WILLOW: It's nice in here. It's kind of cozy.

Cordelia leans on the barrior. She isn't that impressed.

CORDELIA: Oh come on. It isn't that special. I think fish are disgusting. Too much slim for me. I wonder gross it is in there.

XANDER: Why don't you jump in and find out.

CORDELIA: Shut up.

Buffy has never been to the aquarium since she moved to Sunnydale almost 2 years ago. She was never that interested in going but she likes it hear. She just watches as some angelfish swim around. She wishes Angel was hear.

WILLOW: Uh...Cordelia?

CORDELIA: What?!

WILLOW: Behind you...

Cordelia turns around. A shark less then a foot from glass stares at Cordelia. She screams with all her might. The whole tunnel goes silent and about 30 pairs of eyes stare at her. The scream even scared the shark away.

CORDELIA: ....Sorry.

She turns to see Xander on the floor laughing. She walks over and smacks him.

XANDER: OW!

OZ: Had it coming.

BUFFY: Well I think that was enough excitment for the tunnel today. Lets go.

They all walk out of the tunnel. Cordelia no longer walking next to Xander, whose face is all red from the slap. Willow sees a sign pointing to another part of the aquarium. “Dolphin Show: 12:30” It's 12:20.

WILLOW: Oh please! Can we?

OZ: Of course. Guys?

BUFFY: Never seen a dolphin before... Sure.

XANDER: Come on... Dolphins arn't that great. Right Cordy.

CORDELIA: Shut up. I love Dolphins. Lets go.

They all start walking to the Dolphin Show. They walk past the Otters. Xander goes and looks, trying to waste time so they miss the show. Buffy goes back to drag him.

BUFFY: Come on Xander..

XANDER: But they're just so cute.

The finally get to the show and take their seats in the second row. There are 20 rows of seats and they face a big pool. Cordelia sees a sign. “WARNING: First 5 rows might get wet.”

CORDELIA: Oh no! My hair. Can we leave.

Then the lights dim and a big spotlight shines the pool.

XANDER: Too late. Sorry.

Two trainers walk out from a door in those big wet suits. A guy and a girl. All over excited.

JOHNEY: Hello! I'm Johney and this is my partner Brittany! All you all ready to see a show?!

The crowd cheers, except Cordelia. Who is now complaining.

BRITTANY: Now lets bring out of friends, Ecco and Sandy!!!

A gate opens under the pool and two dolphins come out. The two dolphins start swimming around. One of them jumps out of the water and does a flip. The gang is having a great time. Even Cordelia now, well until the dolphin lands and a big wave of water comes and soaks them.

CORDELIA: I hate you guys.

They all laugh. They keep watching the show. The dolphins do things like jump through hoops and play pass with a beach ball. Johney and Brittany jump in the pool and start riding the dolphins. The show ends.

XANDER: That's it?

JOHNEY: Thank you all coming!

BRITTANY: Yes!
Her tone of voice changes.

BRITTANY: And hopefully we will see some of you later.

They walk out and let the dolphins back in.

BUFFY: Well she was creepy.

CORDELIA: Look at my hair!

They all ignore her. When they walk out they go to a map of the aquarium looking at what to do next.

OZ: The Shark Tank?

CORDELIA: I've had enough shark for today.

XANDER: I vote Shark Tank.

BUFFY: I guess I do too. Sorry Cordelia.

WILLOW: I don't want to go to the Shark Tank either. I don't like big sharks.

OZ: Scenario.

BUFFY: Me, Xander and Oz will go see the sharks. You two can do something else.

Willow turns to Cordelia.

WILLOW: Seals?

CORDELIA: Sure.

XANDER: Should we meet back here?

BUFFY: Yes.

Cordelia and Willow walk towards the seals.

CORDELIA: Thanks for doing this Will.

WILLOW: No problem. I love seals.

When the finally get to the seals, they see Johney and Brittany with a seal. A crowd is around them.

JOHNEY: Who wants to feed the seal?

They both scan the crowd and walk up to Cordelia and put a fish in her face.

BRITTANY: How about you young lady?

Cordelia looks disgusted.

CORDELIA: Eww. Please god know. Get that disgusting thing away from me.

JOHNEY: Well she is full of spirit.

They look at Willow.

BRITTANY: What about you?

Willow smiles.

WILLOW: Sure.

CORDELIA: Oh god Willow.

They give Willow the fish. Willow walks up to the seal and lets the seal eat it.

JOHNEY: Now about letting the seal give you a kiss?

Willow sees Cordelia make a disgusting look.

WILLOW: Sure?

Brittany says something weird to the seal and the seal leans towards Willow and gives her a kiss on the cheek. The crowd claps. Suddenly the seal starts making a weird barking noise.

BRITTANY: No! This isn't suppose to happen yet Johney! It's gunna give us away!

The seals suddenly stands up. Its flippers turn to hands and feet. Its face turns half human half seal. It grows arms and legs but the torso is still seal. Willow knows it's a demon. The crowd screams and they start running towards the exit.

CORDELIA: WILLOW!

Willow begins to turn and run but Brittany and Johney stop her. Johney hits Willow and knocks her out. Their faces change, vampires. The two vampires and the seal demon drag Willow though a door. Cordelia has already took off to get Buffy and the others.

Buffy, Xander and Oz look in wonder at the 3 blue sharks in the huge tank.

XANDER: Wow!

BUFFY: I second that.
OZ: I never knew sharks were so intresting.

XANDER: So Buffy, enjoying your first time at the Sunnydale Aquarium?

BUFFY: You know I actually am.

XANDER: Does it have anything to do with not being in school?

BUFFY: No... Well yes... But kind of no. It's just nice.

OZ: I'm with you Buffy.

Buffy smiles at him.

BUFFY: I know you are Oz.

XANDER: I love the aquarium too.

Buffy and Oz just stare at him.

XANDER: Ok no I don't. I was just trying to fit in.

BUFFY: Xander you just don't fit in.

Oz laughed.

XANDER: So what do think Giles is doing since we're not there ruining his life.

BUFFY: Probably reading a good ol' book.

OZ: Think anyone checked anything out today?

XANDER: Like what? Demons for dummies?

OZ: I see your point... Uh....Guys.....

XANDER: What?

BUFFY: Oh- My god

Suddenly everyone in the room screamed and ran out of the Shark Tank crying. Except Buffy, Oz and Xander. They all stare, speechless as a dead body floats up to the top. Teeth marks. Blood...

BUFFY: Shark attack.

XANDER: In an aquarium?

BUFFY: Must of fallen in...

OZ: How? He is not wearing a diving suit to feed them and he is not wearing a workers outfit. Besides, only people that work here are aloud to go up to the top.

BUFFY: Then what-

Cordelia rushed into the room. Looking scared and nervous.

XANDER: Looks like your question is about to be answered.

OZ: Where's Willow?

CORDELIA: She was taken.

BUFFY: Oh god.

OZ: What?!

Cordelia sees the body.

CORDELIA: Ew Sick!

XANDER: Cordy!

CORDELIA: Oh right, she went to feed the seal, and then it turned into a seal demon, those two creepy dolphin people turned into vamps, knocked her out, and dragged her into a room. And now the whole Aquarium is empty.

XANDER: Empty? But there are sharks right there.

CORDELIA: Of people dumbass.

OZ: Guys!

BUFFY: Where did they take her?

CORDELIA: Come on.

They all follow Cordelia through the abandaned Aquarium to where Willow was taken.

CORDELIA: They took her through that door.

They all run up to the door. Oz goes to open it.

OZ: It's locked!

XANDER: Time for some slayer strength right?

BUFFY: It sounds like the right time to break it out.

They all stand back as Buffy kicks the door of its hinges.

BUFFY: Hope they didn't hear that.

They all walk through the door. Straight ahead is a set of stairs.

OZ: Does that lead to the top of the Shark Tank?

BUFFY: Guess we are about to find out...

CORDELIA: If there is violence involved in this and I break a nail, you will be very beyond sorry.

BUFFY: Of course I will. Now I guess it's time for us to go do the hero thing.

All four of them slowly walk up the stairs to hallway with lots of different doors

XANDER: Time to open all the doors?

CORDELIA: Or you could just open one door that says Shark Tank idiot.

Cordelia points to door. Xander looks at her with an angry look. She smiles at him. He can't help but smile back.

OZ: When we are done with all the flirtiness, can we go save Willow?

They slowly walk up to the door. Buffy opens the door and is shocked at what she sees. She sees Willow on a platform looking scared, hands tied behind a pole she's leaning on. The platform is right over the shark tank. The seal demon stands in the corner and watches as Johney cuts his hand with a knife and lets his blood drip into the water. He turns to Brittany and nods his head. She starts slowly lowering the platform into the water. Willow starts screaming for help and that's when Buffy fully opens the door. She gives Brittany a kick to the face.

JOHNEY: No!

BUFFY: Yes. Why would you do something like this? Why not just eat them, which also wont be good, but why?

JOHNEY: It's just so fun to watch. We wait till the sunsets to eat...

Xander starts pulling the platform up and Cordelia and Oz go help Willow. The Seal Demon runs out of the room. Brittany punches Buffy in the stomach and then knees her the stomach. Buffy falls to the ground and she kicks a table over. Buffy sees that Willow is freed. Johney starts to go after them. Brittany then jumps on top of Buffy and with all of her strength, Buffy kicks her off. Brittany gets impaled by a table leg. She's dust. Buffy jumps up to go help her friends. Johney is about to push Willow, Oz, and Cordelia into the water when Buffy side tackles him, they both go over the railing, and into the shark infested water. The last Buffy hears is..

WILLOW: Buffy!!!

The first thing Buffy sees is a shark swim right below her feet. She swims up to the surface.

XANDER: Come on Buffy!

Xander reaches out a hand. She goes to grab it but all of the sudden she is dragged back under. Buffy lost all feeling in her ankle as a Shark pulled her back down. She starts beating its nose and it finally lets go. She turns to see Johney with his head in a shark's mouth. And then he is dust. Smelling the blood from her ankle, all 3 sharks come straight at Buffy. She swims down, kicking one in the nose and dodgeing the other two as they run into each other. Buffy looks up and sees that the platform that Willow was on is now lowered She swims up and grabs hold of the pole. It starts moving up. She just has to hit a shark one more time before she reaches the surface.

BUFFY: Thanks guys.

WILLOW: Oh Buffy, your ankle.

CORDELIA: It's so ugly.

BUFFY: I'll be fine. Maybe a couple of stitches.

XANDER: Here. Wrap this around it.

He hands her a piece of cloth from a flag. She starts wrapping her ankle with it. She can already feel it healing.

BUFFY: Well I can now say that I have survived a shark attack.

OZ: Wait, what happened to the other vamp?

BUFFY: I can say that he wasn't one who survived a shark attack.

OZ: Sweet.

XANDER: Should we go?

CORDELIA: Please god yes! I have had it with fishes today.

BUFFY: I guess we could. Willow. You ok?

WILLOW: I'm fine. Traumatized but fine. But what happened to that seal demon thing?

CORDELIA: Ugh. So we arn't done?

BUFFY: I think the seal demon can wait. We should check in with Giles about it.

Suddenly they all hear screams coming from outside. They all go up to the window and see the seal demon wrecking havoc on the beach.

BUFFY: Up Up and Away!

Buffy starts limp running out the room and to the exit of the aquarium. The others are close behind. When they finally reach the exit, the bus is gone.

BUFFY: Great.

OZ: Detention with Snyder tomorrow?

WILLOW: No no no! I can't

XANDER: We can just say we lost track of time.

CORDELIA: Or how about we got lost in the crowd that was running for their lives.

BUFFY: I vote Cordy's. Now come on.

They all run out to the beach. Normally this would be the perfect day not to go kill a seal demon. When they reach the sand it makes it more hard to run. Buffy's ankle stings. People are running the other way to get away from the demon. Cordelia sees a hott lifeguard in a speedo and stops for second but Xander drags her along. When they reach the demon Buffy jumps in the air with her good leg and kicks the demon in the face. It stumbles for second and then headbutts Buffy. She falls to the ground. Xander and Oz attack with a few punches before they are knocked in the water. Willow throws sand in its eyes. Cordelia goes to hit the demon before saying...

CORDELIA: Ew. Gross.

...and goes to help Willow throw sand at it. Buffy stands up and punches it in the face and then kicks it in the stomach. The demon grabs Buffy and picks her up over her head and throws her into the water. The demon goes in after her, kicking her while she's down and then holding her under. Buffy trys her best to get the demon off her. It's getting harder and harder to breath. She has no more breathe. The demon lets go. Buffy gets up and catches her breathe. Xander and Oz got the demon off her.

BUFFY: Thanks guys.

Willow comes into the water with an umbrella.

WILLOW: Buffy! Catch!

Willow throws it to her and she catches it. The demon knocks Xander and Oz off again. The demon runs at Buffy. The demon jumps at her. Buffy leans back and hold the metal part up. The demon impales itself on the umbrella. It howls and then dies. Buffy leaves the demon there hoping the tide will bring it out, if not, then oops. They all start walking up the beach.

CORDELIA: Can we go NOW?

BUFFY: Yes! Unless hell sends us another demon to make our day even worse.

XANDER: Are we going back to school?

WILLOW: Yes!

BUFFY: Well I have to go to the hospital...

OZ: And school will be like an hour walk. It probably will be over by the time we get back...

CORDELIA: I'm so not walking that far.

WILLOW: Fine. But just this once!

XANDER: Go Willow!

BUFFY: Hospital? Now? Before I pass out?

OZ: Ok. Let's go.

XANDER: Well what a perfect day.

CORDELIA: I'd rather stay here.

She looks at the demon in the water.

CORDLIEA: Never mind.

They all laugh and walk off.
