little drama: chapter 1

Spike thought about what he should do now… dump the two at Buffy’s? She had enough on her mind right now…. The redhead was also dealing with some issues of her own and it would just be sad to leave them at the boys place… and the watcher had gone back to England. After some time he fell asleep on the chair watching TV when Dianna woke up. She looked around frantically half expecting her father to be there. When she just it was just Jason next to her she sighed of relief and put her hand on his shoulder to gently wake him. The boy sat up immediately startled making Dianna jump back a little
Dianna: (softly) sorry….
Jason: (calming down) it’s oke… something wrong?
Dianna: no…. just think we should go upstairs… see if there is food… I’m hungry…
Jason: (smiling) yeah… food….
Diana smiled back and the two-headed upstairs.
Dianna: (putting her finger to her mouth) shh… he is sleeping….
Jason: (nodded, whispering) oke….
Dianna silently walked towards a cupboard where she thought she could find some food. Spike smiled a little. The two coming up had awoken him.
Spike: (pointing) it’s over there.
Dianna: (startled) oooh… sorry… didn’t mean to wake you….
Spike: ‘salright little bit.
He got up and got them the food he had bought for them. He hadn’t known what kids these days liked so he had bought some candy, crisps, cookies, bread, jam, chocolate etc…. The two couldn’t believe their eyes. Spike smiled and gave them some yoghurt drink.
Spike: alright you two… I think I’ll go lay down in bed for a while… you gonna be all right?
They both nodded
Dianna: sure… we’ll just watch some TV….
Spike: (smiles) alright… there is more to drink in the fridge.
He had cleared the beer from it last night to make room for some soda. He yawned and walked down the stairs to get some more sleep… that chair hadn’t done him much good….

The two kids had been watching TV for a while eating and drinking something when they heard the door open and a blond girl entering the crib.
Jason and Dianna got up to go see who it was and the blond girl frowned… so he wasn’t lying she thought and smiled at the two.
Buffy: hey there…. I’m Buffy… and you?
Dianna: Dianna
Jason: (softly) Jason
Buffy: ohke… so… Spike downstairs…?
They both nodded and Buffy disappeared and the two looked at each other.
Dianna: (nodding knowingly) his girlfriend

Buffy walked into the bedroom to find a indeed sleeping Spike. She smiled despite herself… at least now he was quiet…. She sighed and cleared her throat hoping that would wake him and sure enough he stirred and slowly opened his eyes.
Spike: (voice still crogy from sleep) hey there luv…
Buffy: morning…
Spike: (sitting up now) yeah…
Buffy put down a bag.
Buffy: here are some cloths that would do but the boy could do with some new cloths as well.
Spike: I know pet… why we’re going shopping tonight.
Buffy can’t help but snicker at this a little…
Buffy: shopping? You?
Spike: (shrugging) someone gotta do it.
Buffy: don’t you think they’re a little young to learn the trades of (mimicking him) ‘nicking’?
Spike: funny luv… I got some savings.
Buffy: (frowning) aha….
Spike: thanks for the cloths…
Buffy: no problem…. I uh… I better go now… sleep tight.
Spike: (sighed a little) sure pet. See you around.

Buffy walked back up stairs and Spike watched her leave before laying back down again. Buffy turned her head slightly when she reached the door. The blond continued into the room and saw the two children watching her. She smiled.
Buffy: so… you two like it here?
They nod frantically….
Dianna: Spike is nice….
And Jason nodded agreeing and Buffy looked at the two. She knew she should probably take them in cause this crib… the graveyard was not really a place for two kids. She smirked inwardly… now was not the time… she couldn’t even take care of Dawn let alone two children even younger and with the obvious baggage. She figured they would be better of here with Spike cause as much as our hero hated to admit it… he was good with people and apparently also with kids. They would be good here she thought. She sighed.
Buffy: alright…. See you two later?
The two again both nodded and she walked out the door and back home.
Spike had come upstairs. He hadn’t been able to sleep anymore… she wouldn’t even allow him that he thought bitterly. Dianna heard that winx was gonna start and she rushed over and grabbed Spikes arm.
Dianna: (excitedly) come watch… it’s fun…
Spike: (smiling) alright niblet alright (he lets himself get dragged towards the TV and watched with the two. It had become the late afternoon and the vampire had decided it was time to take them shopping. He gave the girl the bag Buffy had dropped of earlier and let her change in the bathroom. Now they were ready they went off to the mall….
