Always Beside You: Part 1

She'd walked these graveyards nearly every night for almost two years now. Slaying vampires had gotten no easier. This day had lasted forever and on top of everthing she was missing the biggest party of the year! She was stuck here in a dank, dark graveyard slaying the monsters that roamed the streets of Sunnydale.
But it did have its perks. She could feel that faimilar twinge in the pit of her stomach as he approched. " I thought you were staying in tonight." she said without even turning around, she knew it was Angel.
She hated seeing him weak like this, if she could get her hands on Spike. " I know, I just had to see you." Angel added leaning in for a long kiss."Ummm... as much as I'd love to keep doing this I've got to hunt tonight, Giles orders." Buffy said trying to pull away from Angel's grasp. " Fine,okay we'll spread out, you go South I'll go North." he said wondering why Sunnydales graveyards had to be so large. "Angel your in NO shape to fight anything." Buffy scolded Angel." I am, Buffy, I've healed." He could see in Buffy's eyes she'd already given in to him." Okay, but be careful, I don't want you getting hurt." " Same here." Angel said as he made his away to the North section of the graveyard.
God,just that look in his eyes drove her wild, she loved him so much. He filled her thoughts 24/7. All she ever wanted in a man, he gave her. He was her everything.

He just couldn't stay home another night. He had to come out and see her, and thats just what he did. He could tell she wasen't to keen on him being there. But as he walked away he could see that little twinkle in her eye. That was what drew him to her. He knew she was somthing special and she was all his. He could barely hunt, every thought he had was of her not what lay ahead.
He was so entwined in his thoughts he didn't hear the vamps that were advancing toward him.
"Hello Angelus." a vamp said as he threw a punch at Angel's head, missing. " Can no one get the name right." he said as he easily staked one vamp." We hit the jackpot tonight." a vamp said to another. Angel responded with his stake. Before the ashes had a chance to hit the ground he had the last vamp by the neck. "What did he mean by that?!" Angel snapped as the stake hovered over the vampires heart."Be cool man, be cool." " WHAT DID HE MEAN!" Angel said angrily."Earlier.. we found you and your girl, the slayer, and just let me say you two are one screwed up couple.."
Before he could finish he was dust. Angel turned and, ran with everything in him to South field, he had to get to her.

He got there in no time. He practically flew across the graveyard. Tears filling his eyes as he saw her broken body crumpled in front of a head stone. He nelt down to her side and pulled her to him. Her pulse was weak but still there, she was so pale. He gently turned her head and caught a glimps of two bite marks. "Angel..." Buffy moaned.
"Its okay, Im here now." He quickly picked her up and headed for the mansion. He could take care of her there.
