Chapter 3: Meet Your New Friend

~ January 12, 2004

Ramona turned from her group of friends as someone stood behind her. She turned towards him fully, standing before her, looking down at her, Cillian.

“Hello,” he said, his voice gruff, a romantic deepness. The accent was just helping his handsomeness.

“Hi,” said Ramona smiling, “Do I know you?”

“I can’t say we’ve met before,” replied Cillian. He smiled at her, “I haven’t got out of the house in quite sometime, but I was wondering if….if the term was this way-- Would you like to get some coffee?”

“Uh, no,” said Ramona.

Cillian was unfazed by the let down. Just looked down at her. “You sure?” he questioned.

“Are you talking to my girl?” asked the boyfriend coming around from behind Cillian.

The boyfriend was shorter than Cillian, enough to where he should be afraid of Cillian. Which the boyfriend was 5’7” he had wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. He thought he was a 6’3”.

Cillian wasn’t fazed by him either, “Why yes, I was just asking her a question. About getting coffee.”

“Well, what did she say?” asked the boyfriend placing his arm around Ramona.

“I said No,” replied Ramona. She wasn’t acting anything of mean towards Cillian.

“No means no,” smiled the boyfriend.

“I do know that young man,” said Cillian, “But of course if you wondered, my name is Cillian Armos.”

“I don’t think she cared,” said the boyfriend stepping forward. Cillian gave a final smile, patted her boyfriend on the head nicely and turned away from him, “He’s got a lot of nerve.”

“Just leave him alone,” said Ramona.

Cillian was nowhere in their sight. But he was at the bar watching her. Talking with the boyfriend, he was snuggling up to her too. Cillian could care less.

He turned to the bartender, “Do those two come here very often,” he pointed towards them.

The bartender leaned on the bar, “Yeah, all the time. John and Ramona.”

“What’s her last name?” questioned Cillian.

“Ramona Locke. She’s the daughter of Tom Locke, journalist at the-” started the Bartender.

“Thank you,” said Cillian, he smiled across the way.

The Bartender went to a customer. Cillian sat in that seat. Watching the young slayer, this girl that was supposed to kill him. So far she wasn’t guessing a thing about who or what he was. That’s why he gave her his name.

“Hi there,” said a pretty bleached blonde sitting down next to Cillian, he turned towards her, didn’t care for her either.

“Hello,” stated Cillian, his voice sounding dark for the moment.

“You want to head out for a little while, or dance, we can dance,” she smiled.

“You want to kiss?” said Cillian getting to the point.

“You know me all too well and we just met,” she smiled.

“Okay,” he said like a sigh, “I’ll start.”

Their conversation back and forth had become seductive the woman sat closer to him, blinked. Cillian smiled at her. Cillian went towards her mouth slowly, “First I’ll kiss your beautiful neck, stranger.”

“Go for it,” she whispered, sucked on her bottom lip.

He went to her neck and slowly moved her hair back, his face changed for the bite, he sunk his teeth quickly into her throat. She was going to scream but as soon as that thought popped into mind while he drank from her he clamped his hand over her mouth.

After a quick moment he changed back and laid her down on the counter, her head in her arms.

“Is she alright?” asked the bartender.

“I wouldn’t bother her, she said she was getting a headache,” answered Cillian licking his lips.

-----------------------------------------

Fisher was sitting at his computer in his work place. Fisher Insurance. Fisher was an Insurance salesman. It was the place to go where you wanted to get any kind of insurance and he’d give you a list and sign you up. Why didn’t he just make a company called ‘The Helper.’

Ramona came in, “Good morning,” she put down her bag in one of the chairs in the lobby of the room, which was his office and that’s all it was.

“Good morning,” he said, “How was your night?”

“Slayed, slayed, and went with the boyfriend,” answered Ramona going over to the cabinets on the right side of the back part of the room, they had everything for coffee on the top of the cabinets.

“How many?” asked Fisher typing on the computer.

“8 vamps,” stated Ramona.

“2 less than last night,” answered Fisher.

“Hey, I need to have a life to,” answered Ramona, “John and I are growing closer everyday.”

“Well no matter how much danger you get yourself into, I’ll have a safe thought for you. I feel safe knowing that your romantic relationships have grown to there fullest. I can say that at your funeral too,” stated Fisher moving the mouse.

“Come on, calm down,” stated Ramona, “I’m not ditching my job for the fun life. I just feel I’ve got greater things to think about.”

“Oh, antics of youth hood. Hmmm…And you’re supposed to be saving the world from evil crisis,” said Fisher sarcastically.

“Oh shut up,” answered Ramona. Fisher looked at the screen confused for a moment. “What’s wrong?” she questioned stepping away from the coffee pot she was going to set so she could make coffee.

“Is this the club you go to?” asked Fisher.

She went towards him, “I thought you didn’t want to know my personal life.” She looked over his shoulder at the picture, “Yeah,” she answered.

He scrolled up and read the heading, “Women of the Vampire. Three young women die from vampiric like wounds to the throat last night at the famous club The Rose.” [I made it up, obviously.] “The coroner said that they’d been drunken dry-”

“Come on, that place isn’t famous,” she looked at Fisher, “Oh, okay, keep reading.”

“The bartender is the only witness to any unsuspicious activity, ‘A young man was in here last night. He was tall, black hair, blue eyes, green something like that. Really pale, seemed a little secretive, like he was going to do something. Or that he had other things on mind and could care less about me,’ said the bartender of the Rose, Phil-” read Fisher.

“Hey, I talked to him,” said Ramona.

“And you didn’t bleeding stake his ass?!” demanded Fisher, “I thought I trained you better.”

“Well, I didn’t sense he was bad,” said Ramona, “Hey, what if it wasn’t the same guy. I mean he was tall, did they have any witnesses say he was handsome. Come on, I’m a teenager, I don’t remember everything. And I’ve got better things. Fine, less important things that I selfishly want to do then slay-”

Fisher turned towards her, “That’s your problem Ramona, you have responsibilities-”

“There’s other slayers, and yeah I do the job. But sometimes I don’t get every baddie,” explained Ramona.

“Well maybe you’d get more if you weren’t flaunting yourself to the males of the tribe and keeping to the real world of good .vs. evil,” suggested Fisher.

“Oh, then go crazy,” said Ramona sarcastically, “I get that.”

Fisher looked back at the computer, “They were killed between the hrs. of 10 to 11 o’clock,” he read from the screen.

“When I was there, I would have seen it. This guy, this vamp must be super or something-”

“Or maybe you were with your boyfriend Tom making out in the corner-”

“Ewe, ewe,” said Ramona, “That’s my dad’s name, my boyfriend’s John?”

“Whatever.”

“And we haven’t gotten that far yet, alright so no. I don’t understand, just don’t, I would have sensed it,” said Ramona trying to contemplate what had gone on. “I’m sorry.”

“It’s fine, just go to school and I’ll look for connections, visit some friends of mine. Go to the crime scene maybe,” said Fisher.

“Thanks, no coffee for me,” said Ramona going to get her bag, “See you later.”

She walked out of there as fast as she could. Ramona wasn’t going to be late, she just wanted to not have to deal with Fisher. ‘I failed,’ she thought to herself.

Nothing a school day won’t fix.

-----------------------------------------

Ramona liked school because she had a friend. Not counting the boyfriend and the random good acquaintances. She sat down in Biology next to her friend Katie Drake.

Katie Drake, 17. 5’4”, thin young lady, she was cheerleader. But since she wasn’t all that selfish she wasn’t the favorite but she was a very good friend of Ramona’s. She had straight brown hair and green eyes and had a very pretty smile, knew everything about the slaying job.

“So that guy that came up to you last night, he was the killer?” she whispered as a teacher like woman passed out papers.

“Yeah, if it was him. Vamp,” said Ramona, “But I’m not sure what to think I mean…I would have sensed it. He came right up to me you know.”

“Well you were getting pretty snuggly with John.”

“Don’t bring up John,” Ramona sighed, whisper.

“Why, something wrong in Fairy land?” asked Katie.

“No, no, he’s great just…Fisher thought I was making out with him all night and wasn’t ‘keeping to my responsibilities.’ You know?”

“Oh well. Nothing you can do now,” shrugged Katie taking the paper offered to her. “People+ Vamp = dead you know.”

“I can’t believe I didn’t sense anything,” stated Ramona.

“Yeah, cause he was just too handsome. It was supernatural,” Katie said sarcastically, “None of this you could help.”

Ramona sat up straighter looking over the crowd of students, “Where’s Mr. Roberts today?”

Katie was looking at her paper, “You mean you just realized he wasn’t here?”

“Shut up about the not noticing stuff,” Ramona explained.

“No, I guess he’s sick or something. Or skipping, that would be cool if teachers skipped,” said Katie.

“Some do,” whispered Ramona, “He said I had to come in and see him today too.”

“Maybe after school you can go to his house, you know he invited students over all the time if they ever need anything,” replied Katie.

“Yeah, I guess I could do that,” said Ramona.

“As long as it doesn’t strike you as creepy that he does,” laughed Katie playing with her black pen.

“Yeah, next he’s going to pass me on the street and try and give me candy to get into his van,” joked Ramona.

-----------------------------------------

Mr. Roberts was a man in his late 50s. Wore glasses and had gray hair, except for what he lost which started his receding hair line. He wore uniform like clothes all the time and was a real people person.

“I hear you like to make house calls,” growled Cillian throwing the teacher across his own kitchen floor. “So you’ll answer my question and be a happy man.”

Mr. Roberts grabbed a knife from his sink quickly and went at Cillian. Cillian kicked the knife from his hand then punched him in the face. Mr. Roberts flew into the frig of the kitchen sliding down it and trying to get back up.

Suddenly Cillian kneed him in the face. Cillian picked him up by his shirt collar which was amazing because Mr. Roberts was a heavy set man.

Cillian slammed him down into a kitchen chair and had a cord in his hand. Extension cord that had been from the linen closet. He tied Mr. Roberts into the chair.

“Now, are you going to answer my questions?” demanded Cillian.

“HELP!! HELP!!!” roared the teacher.

“Wrong answer my friend,” growled Cillian, he punched the teacher in the face busting the teacher’s lip. Not only that his nose was bleeding, “Yell again I’ll wait for your wife to get home and skin her.”

Mr. Roberts swallowed looking at Cillian. Cillian pulled another chair at the table and sat on it backwards facing Roberts, “Ready?”

The Teacher didn’t say anything. Cillian looked him in the eyes for a moment then began: “Where does Ramona Locke live?”

“I wouldn’t tell you ever,” growled Mr. Roberts.

“When’s your wife come home anyway?” smiled Cillian.

“I’m not saying anything.”

“Another wrong move, now Mr. Roberts,” he stood up, “You keep playing fouls like that and I’ll just have to make more work for myself.”

Mr. Roberts looked straight forward. Cillian picked the butcher knife up from the ground and went over towards the teacher. “Now, tell me, where’s Ramona Locke lives?”

Mr. Roberts just looked at him, slowly Cillian brought the knife up to Mr. Roberts’ eye, “Tell me or this goes slowly into your pretty blues. Or, tell me something different like, who means most to her. Give it a whirl.”

Mr. Roberts swallowed, Cillian then spoke: “I’ll count to 10 for you.”

-----------------------------------------

Ramona walked down the snowy sidewalk, 4:30 PM. She was going to check on Roberts. Make sure he was okay.

He had wanted to talk to Ramona about something, grades probably. She did well most of the time. But she had a ‘flu thing’ and had needed to stay home. Wasn’t flu at all. She was out in the desert with Fisher. Of course that trip didn’t help her any. None.

Ramona went to the front door and rung the door bell. No one answered. She rung it again after about a minute. She looked over to the drive way, both cars were home. Even the wife.

She rung the bell one more time. No one came. She then spoke to herself:

“Hi Mr. Roberts, hate to be a pest while you were doing it with your wife.”

Ramona was going to try to knock on the door once. Her hand went to the door, knuckle to knock and the door went open. “Hmm…”

She thought that was kind of odd. All the lights in there were off too. She stepped into the cold house. Her jacket didn’t provide much warmth but it worked.

Ramona looked around, she heard a moaning sound. “Mr. Roberts?”

There was another moan, weak moan. She went towards the kitchen slowly, watching everything around her. Nothing moved, but she saw Mr. Roberts sitting in a chair, a towel over his head. Blood on it.

“Mr. Roberts, what happened to you?” she asked, she went over to him and pulled off the towel and she screamed from what was under it.

Mr. Roberts’ face had been entirely disfigured. The scream had been more of a gasp. Quick, she backed up into the kitchen table falling down bringing the blanket off of whatever was laying on there.

There was blood all over the blanket. A woman’s foot up there, Ramona stood up.

“Oh my god,” she gasped, backed up into the wall behind her. She looked at the man that moaned, Mr. Roberts.

He moaned his final moan, “Run…”

Ramona suddenly saw something over in the corner of the room, “Red lady,” Cillian said.

Ramona had to keep her eyes off the skinned woman. Just watched Cillian. “What do you want?”

“What does every vampire want?” asked Cillian, stepping into her view. She could see him very well. Suddenly he was standing over Mr. Roberts, he slammed his mouth into Mr. Robert’s throat.

Cillian’s face was vamped out. Ramona went forward and kicked him in the head. Cillian flew back against the wall. He started laughing, his face turned back. Blood was on his lips. He licked them, stood up, “Want to fight now. Not going to wait for the epic battle of all time? Time take the building,” he laughed.

Ramona went towards him, she went to punched him. He blocked her blow and kicked her in the chest, she slammed down on the tile. Quickly she flipped back up.

Cillian pushed her down from behind. Slammed her against the wall he had been against, “Come on sweetie, give daddy some love.”

Ramona kicked him between the legs and punched him in the face. He went down on his back, flipped back up on his feet. He went to kick her. She rolled out of the way and his leg hit the wall making a hole in it, she went towards the hall. He pulled his leg out of the wall with ease.

His accent made him sound very vicious. Crazy. Chased her down the hall.

He grabbed her by the hair and slammed her against a wall on her left. She fell down and got back up. Ramona went to punch him in the face. He ducked and hit her in the face. She hit the wall again.

Ramona leapt forward and grabbed him by the shirt and threw him through the nearest wall. They landed in a bedroom. He pushed her off him.

Cillian flipped up onto his feet and kicked her across the face. He stood and punched her in the face, then went to punch her again, she blocked the blow. She tore down the bed post with ease and went to stake him. He knocked if from her hand.

She kicked him in the chest. Jumped up and kicked him again flipping around all the way. He flew backwards and hit a wall going through it.

He ended up in a bathroom. She grabbed him and slammed him into the mirror, it broke on him. Holding the not so reflective man by the shirt she threw him into the bath tub. His body smashed the tiles as he landed. Quickly Cillian grabbed a piece of glass from the floor and went to slice her chest.

“Like to see a little skin on my victims,” he laughed trying to slice her again, standing up again.

She kicked the shard from his hand. Then she spun around and kicked him in the head. She went to grab him again. Blood between them both, bruises.

Cillian grabbed Ramona by the wrists and swung her into the ceiling. She fell down on her stomach ceiling material falling. She pushed the stuff of her while she rolled onto her back so she could get back up. Cillian then held her against the floor mounted on top of her. “Come on girlie, fight for me, come on!!”

She punched him in the face. He punched her back still standing over her. This was all a game for him.

Ramona put her hand on his shirt and tossed him backwards. Over her and he hit the wall below the window. The window’s blind shot up.

Sizzling, Cillian rolled up and moved out of the room. “This isn’t it,” he laughed.

Ramona stood up and was going to chase him down. She heard the front door slam. He was gone.

Ramona took a breath, shaky feeling. She knew he could have killed her, “Have to go to Fisher.”

-----------------------------------------

Fisher was closing up his office when Ramona ran to him. He saw her condition, “What happened?”

“In the office,” said Ramona quickly.

“Sure,” replied Fisher, he unlocked the door, “Sit down somewhere.”

He helped the Limping Ramona sit down in one of the office seats. Fisher hurried into the office bathroom and came out with a first aid kit. He sat it down sitting next to her.

“I don’t need the first aid kit,” she said, “Just a towel or something, the blood.”

“Sure,” Fisher got up and went to bathroom coming back out with paper towels, some wet and a role of dry ones. “What happened?”

“That vampire was at Mr. Roberts’ house,” she stated wiping her face.

“Why…I mean why were you there?” asked Fisher.

“Because I had to go see Mr. Roberts about my grades and he wasn’t at school,” answered Ramona, the blood was coming off her, cuts and bruises.

“What happened exactly?” asked Fisher.

“We fought,” answered Ramona, “Blood and things getting smashed and stuff, all kind of stuff.”

“Did you call the police?”

“Yes,” replied Ramona. “I think that fight was a game.”

“He was just waiting to fight you?” asked Fisher.

“Well I think he wanted something from Mr. Roberts, He looked like he’d been tortured and I know his wife was,” Ramona sighed, she licked her lips, “It was bad. That guy took all her skin off. Well most of it. I’ve been scared for life.”

Fisher stood against his desk his arms folded, “Game.”

“Yes, it was like a game, taunting and everything that a game of a fight is. It wasn’t anything close to Yatzee,” replied Ramona.

“I understand that, did he say a name?” asked Fisher.

“Ummm….last night, he said one then,” replied Ramona, keeping her mind off the skinless woman. “Umm…It’ll come to me. Kill, Cillian, Cillian something that starts with an A.”

“First name rings a bell,” said Fisher.

“He killed Mr. Roberts,” stated Ramona, “Then finished, him, really finished him right in front of me. It was disturbing. Icky. I think I’m going to throw up.”

“Don’t think about it,” stated Fisher.

“I definitely think he was looking for something,” assured Ramona, sitting there with a paper towel in hand. She wasn’t as dirty, “Why would he hurt them.”

“I guess you’ve never heard of Angelus, or William the bloody,” said Fisher.

“William the bloody, but that was from my dreams,” stated Ramona.

“They were vicious, did things like that for fun. To some vampires, torture and blood shed is an art,” replied Fisher.

“Glad I’m not a vamp, ewe,” said Ramona, “What are we going to do?”

“I was checking earlier about him, nobody knew anything though,” replied Fisher, “The name should help, depending on if he’s old or just a new fledgling.”

“I think he might be old,” said Ramona.

“What gives you that idea?” asked Fisher, “Did he say something?”

“Sort of, said he’d not gotten out of the house in a long time. So, he pretty much asked me about the question, ‘Do you want to get some coffee sometime?’ being correct. Old days, old knowledge you know.”

“I’ll check into it. Check the demon database, some contacts,” replied Fisher.

“I’m going to go to see Katie before nightfall inform her about all of this,” answered Ramona.

“You sure you’re alright?” asked Fisher.

“Yeah, I’ll be fine, even without the crutches,” she limped towards the door.

“You sure?” asked Fisher.

“Just get looking,” she stated.

-----------------------------------------

Katie walked up the stairs into her room, “Yeah mom I’ll fold the clothes later!”

She opened her door and gasped suddenly, Ramona was sitting there on her bed. Part of the pink entourage room. Katie like pink.

“What happened to you?” asked Katie closing her door, “Now I get why you usually come in through the window.”

“It’s almost night time,” stated Ramona.

“Yeah, who did this?” asked Katie, “Do you need a band aid.”

“Next time I jump off a building I’ll take you up on that offer,” replied Ramona, sarcastically, she looked at Katie’s face, “I’ll be fine.”

“Was it that vampire?” asked Katie.

“His name is Cillian, Fisher is going to look him up. But you need to stay in doors, tell your mom. I don’t know how, tell her not to let anyone in.”

“Okay, I can do that. Where you looking for him?” asked Katie.

“I went to Mr. Roberts’ house,” stated Ramona.

“Cillian was there?” asked Katie.

“Yes, he killed Mr. Roberts and his wife,” answered Ramona, “Skinned her.” Katie gave her ‘a face’, “I’m warning people.”

“Have you warned John?” asked Katie.

“No,” stated Ramona, “I don’t know how I would.” Katie sat down next to Ramona, “I hope that Cillian doesn’t find out about him.”

“Maybe you should check up on him,” suggested Katie.

“I will,” replied Ramona.

“Well it’s almost night and you know as well as I do that vamps come out at night,” replied Katie in a scolding way, “No wait, I’ll check on John. I’ll call him and make up a big lie.”

“Okay, just nothing weird,” stated Ramona, her cell phone rang. Ramona pulled it out of her pocket, she was very surprised that it hadn’t been smashed to bits, “Hello?”

It was Fisher, “I think I found something.”

“What?” asked Ramona.

“2 of my connections saw a young man fitting that description bringing women into an abandon building just outside of town,” replied Fisher.

“Outside of town, you know this kind of stuff is why dad needs to get me a car,” replied Ramona.

“I’ll drive you,” answered Katie.

“Do you have anything else?” asked Ramona into the phone.

“No, I couldn’t find anything else unless you want to know what he’s wearing now,” replied Fisher over the phone.

-----------------------------------------

Cillian wore a long-sleeve blue shirt with a black short-sleeved one over it. And jeans, with black boots. He knocked on a door.

Tom Locke opened it. “Good evening,” stated Cillian.

“Hello,” said Tom standing there.

“I’m Cillian Armos, I’m looking for Ramona, we go to school together,” smiled Cillian, a person really paying attention wouldn’t let Cillian into the house. Tom was that kind of a person.

“You do?” asked Tom, “I haven’t met you before.”

“New in town,” stated Cillian.

Mark stood at the door, leaned against it, “Well, well, well. Ramona’s been attracting the foreigners now instead of the geeks, good on you man.”

“Mark go do something,” said Tom. Mark shrugged and left the door, “You seem a little old to be going to school.”

“You got me there, I failed a couple of times,” said Cillian, “I’m 19.”

“Should I let you into my house?” asked Tom, the man seemed to calm for Tom to want to invite him.

“Sorry sir, if you think I mean harm. I would never hurt Ramona-” stated Cillian being interrupted by Mark.

“Dad just let him in!” called Mark, “Just come on in and make yourself at home!”

Cillian pushed Ramona’s dad down and closed the door behind him, “I would actually hurt all of you,” he smiled.

-----------------------------------------

Ramona and Katie pulled over next to a building. They got out, snow on the ground. It was snowing a little bit. Katie was going to get out, “Katie, just stay in there, call John, whatever. I’m going to go up there, don’t leave the car. Lock yourself in there,” said Ramona.

She put a stake in her boot and walked towards the building. She thought she should got the quick way so she started climbing up the pipe on the side of the building.

This was the right way to go because she could here music up there. Heavy Metal music. She kept going up the pipe.

Quickly she got into the room with the music. She looked around, Didn’t see and Cillian. She went towards the radio, it was a cassette player. She pushed the stop button.

The music stopped then there was the buzzing sound of static. The button went down again Ramona backed Away.

“Hello, Red Lady,” said the laughing voice of Cillian. “Now I think you’ve figured out that I’m not here. And that I’m also very good with gadgets. Isn’t that swell, I rigged this thing to turn on the tape.” Laugh. “Now wouldn’t you like to know where I am?” Laugh. “I can give you the address which your pretty little head could follow to the place. But how about something plainer?” he laughed again, “Hits you where you live doesn’t it, wondering?”

Ramona went towards the radio watching the cassette spindles inside making the tape work. Her eyes opened wide. “Incase you haven’t noticed Red, I’m at your house, with your brother and father. And most definitely I’ve been given entrance to their house.”

She threw down the cassette player than ran to the window and leapt out of it. She landed on the ground and ran over to Katie’s car, dark red thing. She opened up the door, pulled her cell phone out of her pocket, “We have to go to my house, now. Now. Take me to the street I’ll run the rest of the way!”

-----------------------------------------

Mark went towards Cillian, he threw his right fist at Cillian. Cillian grabbed Mark’s fist and snapped his arm behind his back. Mark hissed in pain.

“Don’t fight me. Well yeah, fight me, I could use the fun,” he hissed into Mark’s ear.

Cillian pushed Mark over the couch inhumanly he turned quickly. Tom stood behind him with a gun in hand aimed at him. Cillian smiled.

Tom started hitting Cillian with bullets in the chest. Cillian fell backwards onto the coffee table. The coffee table didn’t brake. Tom put the gun down, no way could a normal person still be alive with that many shot in there chest.

“Are you okay son?” asked Tom going over to Mark passing Cillian.

Cillian stood up. Tom grabbed Mark, they were stuck in a corner. “Owe,” stated Cillian, “That really hurts.”

“What are you?!” demanded Tom.

“Call me death,” smiled Cillian, “I love the smell of that stinky fear you guys are just letting loose. Makes my job, a lot more fun.”

“What do you want with Ramona?” demanded Tom looking around the room for something to hit him with.

“Red is a very special girl to me,” smiled Cillian, “Got a first aid kit, I’d like to get these bullets out.”

-----------------------------------------

Katie pulled over a few blocks away from Ramona’s house. Ramona got out, “Go home Katie!”

“Good luck!!” yelled Katie after her.

Ramona took off down the road running towards her house. She ran out in front of a car and jumped over it. She landed and just kept going. Running, running for her family. She had to protect them.

She ran down the road and turned on the corner.

-----------------------------------------

Cillian sat on the coffee table. His shirt off, very nice looking fellow under those shirts. He pulled the final bullet out of his chest and sat it down on the coffee table, “You can keep the bullets, be a nice little souvenir.”

He stood up looking at Tom and Mark, “So who here likes being tied up?” No one replied, “Okay, so son gets to go first. Now that I think about it, I’m getting a little hungry.”

“Go home and order take out,” spat Mark.

“No, I think I’ll eat you,” laughed Cillian.

“You’re not going to eat anyone,” growled Ramona from behind him.

Cillian turned towards him, “Hi there sweetie. How may I help you?”

“You can let me kill you,” stated Ramona.

“Now why would you want to do that. Fight me?” stated Cillian, he seemed entertained.

“Sure,” Ramona quickly stepped up onto the coffee table and kicked him in the face. Cillian slammed against the wall.

He laughed, spit blood and went back at her. She jumped off the table and went down to kick him off his feet. He flipped up over her, grabbed her by her hair, “You know,” he said quickly, “You’re very small. I like small women.”

Ramona elbowed him in the face. He kicked her in the back and slammed her down on the table. The table broke. She rolled onto her back quickly and flipped up onto her feet.

Tom went at Cillian and Cillian punched him in the face. Ramona pushed Cillian into the kitchen. He hit the island in the middle of the blue themed room. She went to kick him. He ducked out of the way.

Suddenly he grabbed her by the leg and swung her into the light over the table. Braking it. She landed against another wall. Tom leapt at him.

“Stop fighting me!!” roared Cillian, he kicked Tom in the crotch and grabbed him by the shirt and threw him into the other room.

Tom hit the T.V. and fell to the floor unconscious.

Cradling his arm Mark went to his dad.

Ramona pulled the stake from her boot and went at Cillian, He grabbed her hand and snapped it back, she dropped the stake, “Silly girl.”

She went to grab it.

He kicked her in the head. She flew back against the wall. Ramona stood back up and jumped up and kicked him in the head. She spun around to do it again, he caught her leg and threw her against the ceiling. She hit the ground hard.

Cillian then slammed her up at the ceiling. She fell back down in pain landing in a crouched position. She stood up and punched him quickly. Punched him again.

He gave her a right, she blocked it. She grabbed him by the hair and slammed his head through the kitchen wall into the living room. She grabbed the stake.

Pulled his head with ease Cillian dodged her swipe at him with the piece of wood. She went to stake him, it would have worked.

Ramona went for the blow. He caught her hand and twisted it bending her arm behind her back. Suddenly her grabbed onto her head, “You’d be dead now!” he growled.

He pushed her down. She hit her head on the island. Didn’t knock her out or anything.

“Instead,” he laughed, “It’s just going to be one of them!!”

Ramona looked to Cillian, he had both her father and brother in a head lock, one in each arm. “Or,” smiled Cillian, “Will it be both?!”

Ramona stood up straight. “Don’t, take me. I’m the person you want.”

“Yeah, but I’m evil,” stated Cillian, “Had a lot of time to think about it in the military. I’m not going to spare two lives for one. Plus I’m hungry, doesn’t mean I can’t have a snack.”

“Don’t touch them,” growled Ramona.

“Kind of already,” stated Cillian, “So, there’s choices, make some!”

Cillian was having the time of his life. Ramona looked from her father to Mark. They weren’t talking a bit.

“Just take me, and then get out of town,” stated Ramona.

“You’re new to this aren’t you?” smiled Cillian, “I’m a-”

“Demented vacuum salesmen, someone should call your boss,” growled Ramona trying to cover up the vampire thing.

Cillian just looked at her like she was crazy, “I’m evil, why would I leave town after raping you to death?”

“Cause there’s more like me, all over. Just let them go, I’m begging you,” stated Ramona.

Cillian smiled, “I like a girl that can beg, they tend to scream a lot. Now, what do you think I’ll do?” he finished that sentence in a way that was suspenseful to her, she was afraid.

He started laughing at her. She was trying to think. Suddenly Cillian threw Mark and Tom at her. She help them stand, “I said I wasn’t going to spare two lives for one. Still doesn’t mean I’m not going to kill you, cause I will.” Laugh, “See you later Lady in Red.”

Cillian was suddenly gone, “Are you guys okay?” asked Ramona.

“Nothing a hospital visit won’t fix,” said Tom.

Katie stood with Ramona in Mark and Tom’s hospital room. Mark was getting a cast put on his arm and Tom was hooked up for observation. “He’s dangerous, really, really, dangerous,” stated Ramona.

“Don’t we know it,” replied Katie, “Are you going to be okay?” she looked at Ramona’s forehead where the stitches were.

“Yeah, no big,” said Ramona, “Did you tell John to stay in?”

“Yeah, I told him I heard a rumor someone was going to pull a fazing prank on him. He believed me,” answered Katie, “But, what’s going to happen?”

She looked through the door way at her family, “I guess I’ve got a new friend.”
