We're Okay Now: 2

Buffy was in bed with bandages on her arms. There was a large black bruise on her eye and she had a neck brace.

Spike entered and the nurse looked up. “Family only,” she said.

“He is,” Buffy whispered.

The nurse nodded and left the two of them alone.

Spike made his way to Buffy’s side. “Oh pet,” he whispered.

Buffy reached her hand toward him blindly.

Spike grabbed her hand and kissed it. “Dawn told me what happened,” he said, sitting next to her.

“Is she okay?” Buffy asked.

“I don’t know. The doctors checking her out right now. How are you feeling?” Spike asked, softly.

Buffy finally opened her tear filled eyes. “Spike, I was sleeping” she whimpered. “I was so out of it until he slammed into me. That caused Dawn to come in. I don’t know what he did to her when he chased her but I saw him hit her.”

“What did he do to you after Dawn got out?” Spike asked, gently.

“I have a few broken ribs and my arm is broke in 2 places. I managed to slam him into the wall and I got away. The doctor said he really tore me up and it’ll be sore for awhile,” she said.

“Then why do you have a neck brace?” Spike asked.

“He threw me on to the couch and I landed on my neck. Its not broken just tender,” she said.

Spike laid beside her. “Is his okay?”

Buff smiled. “Yeah. Don’t stay too long because I don’t want Dawn alone,” she said.

Spike kissed her temple. “Maybe I can get you two closer together if not in the same room,” he whispered.

“Could you not call the gang right away?” She asked, softly.

“Yeah,” Spike said, as Ryan came in.

“Dawns asking for you,” he said.

Spike sat up. “You gunna be okay?”

Buffy smiled a little. “Yeah. Tell her I’m fine,” she said.

Spike kissed her lips softly and left.

Dawn turned her head as Spike came in. “How’s Buffy?”

“She’s gunna kill me but she has a few broken ribs and her arms broke in two places. She
said to tell you she’s fine but she’s in pain. How are you doing?” He asked, sitting next to her.

“4 broken ribs. Broke my arm and the bruise. I’ll be okay,” she said.

“Spike he tried to…How is she?” Dawn asked.

“He tore her up pretty badly and the doctor said she’s gunna be in pain for a while,” Spike said.

Dawn closed her eyes and let out a shaky sigh. “Are you gunna stay with me?” She asked.

Spike laid next to her. “Yeah. I’m gunna get you and Buffy closer so I can keep an I on the two of you at once.”

Dawn rolled her eyes. “Okay. I just don’t wanna be alone,” she said, snuggling into his arms.

Spike kissed her forehead and closed his eyes. “Well I’m not going anywhere. Buffy wants to wait before we call the gang.”

“The police are gunna be her tomorrow to talk to me and Buffy. So will you stay?” Dawn whispered.

“Always. Get some sleep,” he whispered.

Soon both of them were sound asleep.
