Changed: Part 1

Where was Oz, thought Willow as she waited for him outside the Bronze. She was pretty sure she told him that they would meet there. Perhaps he was running late. She wouldn’t mind. Willow knew that she could never be mad at her Oz. She loved him too much.
She was about to call him when he appeared in front of her, panting and out of breath.
Oz!” she exclaimed. “Where were you? I was worried.” She noticed his panting. “Why are you out of breath? Are there vampires? Cause if there are I’ll go fetch Buffy.”
“No, there’s no vampires,” replied Oz.
“Then what is it?”
“Willow, the most amazing thing just happened! Can we go to your house I need to talk to you.”
“Sure,” she replied.

“So what was this amazing thing you wanted to tell me?” They were in Willow’s bedroom now.
“Well, On my way to the Bronze this woman came up to me. She knew who I was and that I was a werewolf and loads of other stuff which freaked me out at first but then she started telling me how she knew this spell that would change me back to how I was before. Isn’t that wonderful Wil! I could just be plain Oz again before I became a werewolf! I could be normal.”
Willow was speechless, she didn’t know what to say.
“Say something Wil,” he said.
“Well…Oz this is big…. and amazing which ever way you look at it but…”
“But what?”
Willow let out a sigh. “But how can you be sure that this will work. According to the books there is no cure for a werewolf.”
“So your not even willing to give it ago.” Willow could hear in his voice that her words had hurt him. “You don’t ever want me to try and get rid of this curse I have.” He turned away from her.
“No Oz, I think it’s great that there may be some way that you can get rid of this curse. I just don’t want to see you harmed,” sighed Willow. “What if this spell she does goes wrong? She could turn you into a frog. And I have frog fear!”
Oz turned around and smiled at Willow. He pushed a few stray hairs back from her face. “I promise you, nothing will happen to me.”
“So you won’t be turned into a frog?”
He kissed her on the cheek. “No, I promised”
Willow smiled. If there was one person she trusted in the whole world it was Oz.

Through out the next day Willow tried her best to avoid Buffy, Xander and Giles. She felt guilty about not telling them but she knew in her heart that it was the right thing to do. She knew they’d disapprove of what her and Oz were trying to do.
**************************************
That night Willow walked down to the old mansion where Angel used to stay. Oz had told the woman it was very secret and it was the safest space that they could perform the spell.
“Oz?” called Willow as she walked inside. “Are you here?” There was no answer. He was most probably late thought Willow but then she heard a groan coming from somewhere in the mansion. Was that Oz? Where was he?
“Oz is that…” she stopped behind the old couch was an unconscious body. She rushed over at once. It was Oz. He was in a bad way. He looked so pale and the left side of his face was covered in blood. Willow started to cry at the sight of her battered boyfriend.
“Oz, can you hear me? Listen, I’m going to get help ok. Who did this to you?”
“I did,” said a voice from behind her.
Willow spun round to find a woman stood behind her armed with a wooden bat. Willow gasped as the bat was swung in her face and she joined Oz, unconscious on the floor.

Willow awoke to the sound of chanting. She could hear that it wasn’t in English. She opened her eyes but couldn’t see much, her vision was all blurred. She closed her eyes again and wished she’d wake up from this dream. But someone was calling her name.
“Willow! Willow!”
“Oz?” she replied weakly. She opened her eyes. She could she better this time but was horrified by what she saw. Oz was in chains, surrounded by men in grey cloaks. They were chanting something but she didn’t know what.
All of a sudden Oz started changing. He was becoming a werewolf.
Willow sat up with difficulty. “Oz! Why are you changing?” she cried out desperately. “It’s not full moon!”
“Willow, listen to me,” shouted Oz, “you have to get some help. She’s changing me! She’s doing something to me!” He was almost fully werewolf now.
Willow looked around and saw the woman that hit her earlier. “What are you doing!” she cried hysterically as she tried to stand up. “He’s changing and it’s not full moon!”
“It doesn’t matter anymore” she replied
calmly “This is his permanent form from now on. Like these.”
Willow looked behind the woman and gave out a cry because of what she saw. Cage after cage of werewolf.
“Oz will fit in just fine here.” Then she walked off behind the men in grey cloaks.
Willow turned round to Oz, who was now fully werewolf. She’d lost him. She’d never get Oz back now. Grief overtook her and she collapsed.
