The wind picked up, only to stop suddenly, and drop Gunn, Illyria, Connor, Angel, and little Spike to the ground.
"Any idea where this is?" Connor asked, standing.
"It looks normal, we could be home." Spike said.
"But, wouldn't you be your normal sized self?"
He shrugged. "Then let's hope this ain't home. I don't wanna be stuck like this any longer."
"Aw, i think you look cute." Gunn teased.
"Sodd off, mate. You try bein' this way after you spent over a hundred years bein' a vampire, and see how well *you* like it!"
The rest stood up, also, dusting themselves off, and looked around.
It looked like the normal, human world. But they all knew, by far, that appearences could be decieving. Oh so *very* decieving.
"Let's take a look around, see what we can come up with." Angel said.
"'Analyse the situation.'" Little Spike mimicked Giles' posh accent.
****************************************************************************************************************
It was true. The place they were in now, looked very normal, almost too normal. But they thought they were just being paranoid.
"Unless it's like that 'hell' dimension Lindsey was sent to." Gunn rationalised.
"Maybe." Angel allowed.
"I do not like this place." Illryia informed. "It is too hot, and the sun hurts my eyes."
Spike rolled his eyes. "Which is why they invented sunglasses." He muttered. "Hey!" He objected when Connor picked him up.
"You were starting to walk away."
"I was? To where?" When Connor pointed to a baby swing in the park across the street, his eyes widened. "Bloody hell!"
"Aw, little Spikey wanna have a go on the swing?" Gunn couldn't help but tease the small toddler. -Gettin' back at all the times he popped up in the staff toilet pokin' fun at...-He trailed off before he finished that sentence, but a small smile tugged at his lips.
"Sodd off." Spike said, a petulant frown on his face.
"This child is becomming more peculiar." Illyria commented.
"That's 'cause i'm no bloody child!" He hissed. "Now, put me down!"
Connor, though smiling broadly, set him down rougly.
"Behave, you two." Angel said, still assesing the situation.
"Where are we, oh great leader?" Spike asked sarcastically. He was annoyed, pissed as hell, and a little afiraid. He was beginning to forget things about himself. Little things, mind you, but he'd never forgotten before, even with the soul tormenting him. He was forgetting things about his first human life, little bits and pieces from his early vampire life...and if that wasn't frightening enough, the world in which the form of the body he was currently in, was becomming more of a reality for him.
Angel looked at Spike, knowing his younger ex-vampire was struggling with something. Not knowing what, he looked up at Gunn, who had begun speaking.
"...a place to stay. Maybe for a little while, or at least figure out *where* we are."
***************************************************************************************************************
Little Spike followed the others, not really watching where they were going, since Connor had taken hold of his hand, making sure he didn't wander off.
But he came to a stop, when he bumped into something, and was forced to let go of Connor's hand as he hit the pavement, butt first.
"Oh, i'm so sorry." The lady helped him stand. "Are you hurt?" Spike shook his head, rubbing his sore bottom. "You're just so small, i didn't see you." She took a good look at him him. "My, you're so adorable, i could just eat you up!" She paused.
"William." He heard Angel growl in his Sire-like manner, and Spike looked away. He *hadn't* forgotten *that* voice in the things that were leaving him.
Sighing, he walked over to him, making it seem as if he was shy of the woman, and Connor picked him up.
"Again, i'm sorry. I hope i didn't hurt him." With that, she walked away.
"Strange woman." Gunn commented, voice low.
Gunn took Spike from Connor's arms, knowing the teenager would put him down again, if he demanded it.
"We'd better get home." He said, as Spike began to struggle out of his arms.
"Yes." Angel said. "William. Stop that." He ordered, his voice not that of a Sire, but of a Exasperated grandafther.
Spike stopped struggling. "Stop callin' me William." He said, his voice petulant.
*****************************************************************************************************
"That woman was just...too perky." Gunn said, as the entered a café.
"Maybe this is the land of Perky People." Spike griped.
Setting Spike in a highchair next to the table, they ordered some food.
"I think it's safe to say that we...are in Spain." Angel said, looking over one of the menu's. Their waitress had been Spanish, spoke no Enlgish, so they had had to let Angel order everything for them. Except Illyria, who didn't have to eat.
"Earth Spain...or i'm-in-another-dimension-Spain?" Gunn asked.
"Not sure."
"Oh, that's reasurrnig."
