“You can’t leave!” Buffy said, tears falling down her face.

“Why? Buffy, we beat the first. I don’t have a reason to stay,” Spike said.

“What about me?!” Don’t I matter to you?” Buffy asked.

“You always matter. That’s why I’m goin. You don’t need me watching your back. You have more in you than you think. You just nee to find it,” he said, walking out into the rain.

Buffy ran after him, not caring that it was pouring. “Spike, don’t leave, please.”

Spike turned to face her. “Why?”

“’Cause I’m not ready to lose you again,” she said.

“Buffy, you’ll never lose me. I need to get away from all this for a while.”

“But, I love you,” Buffy said.

“You cant,” Spike said, softly.

“I do. I’m not letting you go,” she said, approaching him.

“Buffy,” Spike said.

Buffy smiled and kissed him tenderly.

Spike pulled away after a moment.

“Come on,” Buffy said, pulling him into the new house she and Dawn shared but Dawn was with some new friends.

When they shut the door, Buffy pulled him in for a kiss. She hoisted herself onto his waist and he carried her to the master bedroom. Gently he laid on the bed as they took off their shoes and his coat.

“You sure?” Spike asked, hovering over her.

Buffy nodded. “I love you,” she said.

“I love you so much, Buffy,” Spike said.


After several hours, Buffy collapsed on Spike. “It’s nice to be like this,” she said.

“Yeah it is,” Spike said, holding her.

“I think we should go away for awhile,” she said.

“Where?” Spike asked.

Buffy looked up at him. “England,” she said.

Spike smiled. “Ok, we’ll go to England.”

“Then, we’ll come home and be together forever,” she said.

“Whatever you want Luv,” he said.
