Good Knight Story: Searching

Everyone in the Summer's house is researching books or on the laptop. Suddenly, the phone rings. Buffy answers and is surprised to hear it was from Dawn's school.

SCHOOL-
"Ms. Summers, this is Mr. Rooney had Dawn's school...it appears she never showed up. You did know that this is her tenth absentise this year?"

BUFFY-
"Yes, Mr. Rooney, but I assure you....Dawn went to school today."

ROONEY-
"I'm sorry, Ms. Summers....Dawn didn't show up."

BUFFY-
"Okay....I'll find her and get her to school, I promise." Buffy hungs up the phone. "Michael, where's KITT?"

MICHAEL-
"He took Dawn to school, remember?"

BUFFY-
"They never showed up."

MICHAEL (into his watch)-
"KITT? KITT?! Come in, KITT....no answer. Xander, can you drive us along the route to the school."

XANDER-
"No problem."

Meanwhile, down on the small beach, Dawn starts to wake up. Her head hurts, and she can feel blood matting her hair. She unstraps her seatbealt and lands hard on KITT's top. The car was upside down.

DAWN-
"KITT? KITT, are you okay?"

KITT-
"I think-k-k-k so. M-M-M-My system....systems are off off line. I can not not contact M-M-Michael."

DAWN-
"What happened? Who was in that van?"

KITT-
"Unknown...unknown...unknown...unknown..."

DAWN-
"Okay, okay, just relax KITT. Look, I'm going to get out and see if I can make it up the embakement. OUCH!!!"

KITT-
"Dawn, are are you okay?"

DAWN-
"My leg is broken."

KITT-
"Can you get ooout?"

DAWN-
"I think so..." Dawn drags herself out of KITT and then drags herself towards the embakement. Once she reaches the embakement a loud explosion is from KITT. He had fired the passenger ejection seat. The force lifts KITT off the ground and he lands on his tires. "KITT, good job....can you start your engine?"

KITT-
"No...but m-m-m-my transponder is still working." Inside KITT, a red light starts flashing and with it a light and arrow on Michael's watch. In Xander's car, he directs them over to the torn up guardrail overlooking the embakement.
