Free: Moment of Happiness Pt. 2

by Psyche2

A/N: Sorry about the short chapter...I wanted to update. R&R!

Angel had his first nightmare free sleep since he had his soul returned to him. He knew it was all thanks to one beautiful slayer- no young woman.

He unconsciously reached over to get even closer to his redemption, but his hand only found air, frowning slightly he forced his eyes to open.

He sat up to look around his apartment, trying to find Buffy.
"Buffy" he called out, when only silence answered him, he looked down at his lap and his eyes glimpsed his claddagh ring on his hand.

The memory of the night before made him smile and then he suddenly cursed himself. Angel had forgotten how young Buffy really was. After all she had been through, she was more mature for anyone her age should be.

Even so Angel knew that what had happened between them last night was a big deal for her. Buffy had given him something she could never give anyone else. It was understandable that she needed time to herself, also he had a feeling her mother was expecting her home before school.

Angel figured that he wasn't going to sleep anytime soon, even if the sun was already up.

Using the sewers Angel found his way to Sunnydale highs library. His vampiric hearing picked up the raised voices of Willow and Xander, Buffy's to best friends.

"No Xander’s right, my god! You people are all... well I'm upset right now and can't think of a mean word right now, but that’s what you are and we're going to the factory."

"Yeah" Angel heard Xander agree.

"Didn't know you cared." Everyone gasped and turned towards Angel who was trying to keep out of the direct sunlight spilling into the library.

"Angel" Willow called.

"Where’s Buffy" Giles asked.

"You guys haven’t heard from her either." Angel sat or rather fell on the floor.

"What did you do to her" Xander always the jealous one.

"Xander" Giles warned.

"I haven’t seen Buffy since we escaped from the Judge." Angel notices everyone take a step back.

"The Judge is alive then." Giles was hoping against hope that he was wrong.

"Yeah he’s alive, which is why I'm a little worried about Buffy."

"Yes well" Giles paused then turned to the others "You should get to class, come back afterwards to help with the research."

With assurances that they would come back the Scooby gang left the library.

"Giles there is something else you should know about last night. Something that happened between me and Buffy." With that statement Giles fixed Angel with a glare only a father could pull off.

Unknown to them Jenny was lingering at the door and as she listened to Angel she felt fear rise in her. She left in search of the one who could help her. Her Uncle.

Jenny got on the phone as soon as she reached the classroom. She dialed the number as fast as she could taking a deep breath. When a voice answered she quickly said. “It’s me. I believe Angel has had a moment of happiness.”
