Reckless: Season 2: Author's Note

Author's Note

All Joss Whedon characters belong to him, not to me. But those are few and far between, so most characters belong to me.

For anyone who hasn't read any of the following: Reckless - Season 1, Walking in Fear, The Man With a Thousand Faces, all by redmoon or The Watcher - Season 2 by Gumboy and you don't know who Logan Kilpatrick (Loki) is - I'm going to tell you that it is recommended that you read... pretty much any of these to get some background. *Read The Watcher: It's excellent.*

If you have read some of these, first of all, you have excellent taste and here's where we left off last season:

The Creep (a.k.a. The Mysterious Vampire in Black) spread an infection throughout the vampire population of New York who in turn infected thousands of humans all to build an army to wipe humans and 'impure bloods' off the face of the Earth.

Slayer Niki Valtaine and her Watcher Addison along with her ex-lover Logan Kilpatrick formed their own army of demons and uninfected vampires to stop the Creep before he could acomplish his evil plan.

The Demon Civil War left thousands of demons and vampires dead, including the Creep. The humans who were liberated from the infection's control by the death of their infectors were left on the battle field unaware of what had happened.

More than a year later seemingly only the veterans of the 'good' side of the battle remain: wearing bracelets which guarantee them immunity from the Watcher's Council and the Slayer.

But the combattants are now beginning to think everything is just a little too calm.
