“Hey, have you guys seen Connor?” Dawn asked. She had walked down to the campfire to look for him.

“I saw him go that way,” a guy answered.

“Thanks,” Dawn said before she headed in the direction he had indicated.

“I’m so scared,” a girl with wavy brown hair told Connor.

“It’s going to be okay,” he told her, hugging her body to his. She was near the verge of tears. He cupped her face in his hands, “We’ll get through it, together.”

She nodded and he gave her a small kiss on the mouth. Connor heard a gasp and he turned around to see a shocked Dawn.

“How could you?” she said before she ran off.

“Dawn!” Connor yelled. He caught up with her and grabbed her arm, “It’s not what it looks like.”

“Or really, so were you give her CPR or did she just fall forward and your lips broke her fall?! I trusted you!”

“It’s not like that, we’re just friends!”

“I’m sure.”

“Dawn let me explain please. Fred’s my ex-girlfriend. She came up to talk to me.”

“Yeah, this makes me feel a lot better.”

“I was comforting her!”

“Go to hell!” Dawn turned and began to walk away.

“Dawn! She’s pregnant!”

Dawn turned around in disbelief, “What?”

“Fred’s pregnant,” Connor said in a barley audible tone, “And I’m the father.”

Dawn opened her mother and then shut it again. She was at a loss for words, so she just turned around and walked away.
