Part One

"Wow, did I hit my head on the way down or what!" The bewildered slayer sat up and began frantically pinching at her arm, while the two other women stared at her, as if she were crazy. "Like, did I fall through the television, or what? I know! You're both vampires! That's it, you're trying to confuse me, to... to trick me!"
Buffy leaped up and dived out of the bed, around the blonde named Gabrielle, and grabbed her around the neck, reaching for the stake that wasn't there.
"Get away from her!" Xena yelled. Then more calmly, "Look, you may be a little confused right now, but we're friends." Inside, Xena's heart beat wildly against her chest, as she watched her best friend held tightly around her neck.
"Don't come any closer!" Buffy hissed. "Now, I want some answers! Where am I, and how did I get here?"
Xena stepped forward slightly, "You are in the Kingdom of Chin: the ancient home of the former Ming Tsu and Ming Tien. We are travelling warriors, and were on our way out of here, when a group of Ming's soldiers started screaming about flashing lights, and appearing ghost- women. That's when we saw you, and brought you back inside."
Buffy swallowed and loosened her grip on Gabrielle. "How do I know you're not lying?" Xena's face tightened, and she took a dangerous step forward,
"You either trust us, or get the crap beaten out of you!"
Buffy let out a small growl, tightening her grip on Gabrielle's neck once more. "I don't like people who threaten me!" She snapped.
"I'll do a lot more than that if you don't let her go!" Xena hissed back. "Now I want some answers out of you!"
"And you'll just have to keep guessing!" Buffy said with a smirk. "Now, I'm leaving... and you're not going to stop me." She took on a threatening stance. Buffy slammed her foot on the ground, flicking up a small knife. Gabrielle squeaked, and gazed pleadingly at Xena. The slayer backed slowly out the small door, with Gabrielle dragging along in front. Buffy took three steps out, with Xena following, then dropped Gabrielle and the knife, and ran. She ran as fast as her legs could carry her, knowing that the other warrior would soon catch up. Three guards stood in the way of her freedom, but Buffy just flattened two of them with two quick fists, and the other was sent flying with a roundhouse kick to the face. She looked back in time to see Xena coming around the corner, and Gabrielle stumbling just behind.
"Damnit!" She yelled, as a band of guards came rushing towards them. Buffy watched, as Xena faltered and let out a curse. Obviously, those two weren't entirely welcome either, Buffy smirked. But straightened quickly when she caught an arrow aimed at her head.
"Aiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiii!" Xena's war-cry echoed off the cold stone walls. Buffy covered her ears and groaned.
"Jesus, does everyone around here make that sound?" She muttered. A nearby guard inturrupted the slayer, by smashing the flat side of his sword against her thigh. Buffy went down on one knee, but furiously flipped back up and landed three punches in his stomach, and a backhand to the face. Not accustomed to using her full strength on mere mortals, Buffy gasped as she realized that just with that small attack, she may have killed him.
Gabrielle noticed her pause, and intercepted another guard about to take advantage of Buffy's distraction. She swung her staff around and slammed it hard into his face. She then brought it up with two to his stomach, and swept the floor to bring him down.
Xena, meanwhile was handling five at one time, swinging them into each other, and flipping from head to head.
"Xena!" Gabrielles distraught cry brought the warrior princess up in a flash, but another six guards piled on top of her.
Eight soldiers had surrounded Gabrielle, while the ninth sported her staff, teasing and swiping at her with it. Buffy looked up from her distant thoughts, and her eyes widened at the blonde's troubles. She grabbed two makeshift stakes, and sent them flying with precise aim: one hitting the soldier with the staff, and the other actually hitting the staff, which flew back towards Gabrielle. Buffy did several flips and ended up landing in the middle of the group. She did a roundhouse kick, taking out two more, while Gabrielle retrieved her staff and furiously struck out at three more, taking down one of them. The other two, one of whom had a sword, began to fight Gabrielle, but it didn't take her long to defeat them.
Buffy kicked another in the face, and he dropped like a stone, but the others continued to fight her malevolently. She delivered a backhand to each of their faces, and finished up with another roundhouse kick. Then they both came at her with their swords from either side, so she dropped to the ground in the splits, and ironically the two men destroyed each other.
The two women looked over to see Xena finish off her lot, and they each looked around at the disaray of bodies.
"Well," The slayer muttered uncomfortably. "We sure took care of them!" Xena glared at her, and Buffy glared back. "If you two don't mind, I think I'll be leaving now!" She snapped.
Xena stepped forward, "Oh no you don't!" She snapped back. "I think you'd better come with us!"
"Why?" Buffy asked angrily.
"Because I want some answers from you, and also you may have overlooked the fact that you have nowhere to go!"
Buffy just glared at her. "You can't stop me from leaving!"
"Watch me!" Xena said angrily. Gabrielle placed a restraining hand on her friend's arm, "Xena, don't!" She whispered. "She helped me back there, she... she isn't evil..."
Xena's eyes softened slightly, "Gabrielle, are you sure you're okay?" She asked, stroking her cheek.
"I'm fine." Gabrielle said.
Buffy watched this silently, and decided it was time for her to leave. A slight whipping sound was audible, and when Gabrielle and Xena looked back, the small slayer was gone.
"I'm going after her!" Xena called to her sidekick.
"Xena, no! Let her go!" Gabrielle cried. Xena sent her a sidelong glance.
"Gabrielle, I'm not going to attack her... she's like me when I was young. Untrusting, and impulsive! She may be able to hold her own out there, against warlords and almost everything _we_ go up against... but if she really _is_ like me... then what chance do you think she'll have against Ares? I have to find her!" Xena pleaded. Gabrielle stared at her, "Xena... go. But be careful with her! She's all alone in a place she's never heard of. Now, I don't know if she's from another dimension, or simply crazy... just be careful with her..."
