Chapter 12: Claiming

Spike’s Apartment: LA

After Daphne felt the baby kick, Buffy suggested that Daphne stay at Wolfram and Hart in case she needed anything. Angel had agreed immediately. Daphne however took a little persuading. But she decided that it was best. When that was settled Buffy, Willow and Spike headed to Spike’s apartment.

“Willow you said you knew Spike was alive, right?” Willow nodded. “How?” Buffy asked.
“Well Dawn called me crying about Spike and you and being alive and something about heart attack. But Giles explained that Spike had left a message on your machine and that he had known.”
“Oh he’s so dead.”
“So did Andrew.”
“Figures. What did you just tell everyone?” Buffy asked as she looked at Spike and shrugged.
“But Giles sent you here for three reasons. First for the slayer. Second the book for Angel and lastly to save you.”
“Save her how?” Spike asked.
“Giles felt that Buffy was giving up, lost even. So when he found out that you were alive he figured that you’d be the perfect way to bring her back.”
Buffy stared at Willow. “Why would he do that to me?”
“Who knows, but he feels bad about not telling you, but he didn’t want to lose you like we almost did when we brought you back.”
Buffy looked down. “I get it, really I do, but he shouldn’t have kept it from me.” Willow nodded. “Hey how long are you here for?”
“Well tomorrow I guess. I teleported here last night.”
“Well I have a hotel room at the hotel down that street that’s not being used. You’re totally welcome to it.”
Willow smiled. “Good because I’m not exactly ready for witnessing Buffy/Spike smoochies.”
Buffy and Spike both laughed. “Well in the meantime since it’s been a while. Dish girlie what’s been going on with you?” Buffy asked as here and Willow sat down.
“Uh Buffy, love, I’m gonna go hang out with Clem.” Spike said as he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
“Ok baby bye.”
“Bye Red.”
“Bye Spike.”
Spike smiled as he walked out the door.


“Okay girlie come on dish.” Buffy said.
“Okay so I broke up with Kennedy.”
“What? When?”
“The day before you left.”
“That’s why she was so crabby.”
“Yeah. See I was using her. There’s only one woman for me.”
“Tara?”
“Yep. But it gets better. Remember when I ran into Oz in Italy?”
“Yeah.”
“Well like I said that’s only been one woman for me. And only two mean for me too. And since I’m over Xander, Oz is my guy. Buffy I think I’m falling in love with Oz again.”
Buffy smiled at Willow. “Oh Will that’s so awesome.”
“You mean it? I mean because I thought you might be like that’s bad Willow.”
“Of course I mean it. God Oz is such a great person Will. You’re so lucky.”
“So what’s the story on you and Spike? Any smoochies?”
Buffy blushed. “Maybe a little.”
“Awe Buffy.”
“Willow I’m so happy. Without him I felt so lost and alone. Like I’d lost a piece of myself.”
“And now you’re whole again?”
“Exactly.”

Wolfram and Hart: Upstairs apartment

“Thank you Angel. This is really nice of you.” Daphne said as she set her bags down on the bed.
“No problem Daphne.”
“You know I could have gotten my stuff myself. You didn’t have to send someone.”
“Oh sorry I figured you would like to get some rest.” Angel said as he sat down.
“It’s okay Angel.” She touched his shoulder, “I don’t mind the pampering.”
Angel laughed. “Okay.” Daphne smiled and began sorting her clothes. “Well I’m going to go make some calls okay?”
Daphne smiled. “Okay Angel. Don’t overwork yourself.”
Angel stood up and walked over to the door. He stopped and turned around. “Daphne.”
“Yeah Angel.”
“Would you like to go to dinner with me?”
“Um well.” Daphne looked down then looked up and smiled. “You know what. I would love to.”
“Okay good. I’ll see you later. Okay?” Daphne nodded and Angel smiled and walked out the door.

“Listen…no Nina…she’s from the past…well sort of…but she’s pregnant with my baby…no I don’t know how.” Angel said as he talked on the phone with Nina. “No Nina I cant just phase her out. You know what that’s fine. Go. I don’t care Nina. Goodbye to you too.” Angel said as he hung up the phone.
“Rough break up?” Daphne said as the elevator door closed behind her.
“You could say that.”
Daphne walked over to the front of Angel’s desk and looked him in the eye. “I didn’t mean to listen. I just heard the yelling upstairs and I wanted to make sure you were okay.”
That’s when Angel felt it, the pull to her, the sudden knowledge that she had been worried about him. “Wait, Daphne the walls are soundproof up there. You couldn’t have heard me.”
“What? No I heard you. It was like you were right next to me.”
Angel looked down. He thought for a couple of seconds then made a mental note to speak with Wesley. “Well maybe I’m wrong.” Angel looked up with a smile.
“Yeah maybe or maybe I imagined it. But I’m going to go lie down. Will you wake me up at 6 please?”
Angel nodded and Daphne went back to the elevator. When Angel was sure that she was gone he picked up the phone. “It’s Angel. Can you get the guys in here pronto? No wait let’s meet in Fred’s lab. Okay thanks.” After Angel hung up the phone he left a message with Harmony to wake Daphne up at 6 and to get him when she was awake. Then he headed to the lab.

Spike’s apartment

“Willow, It’s been really awesome. Girls night and all.” Buffy said as she hugged Willow.
“Yeah, but I should be going. I wanna call Oz tonight.”
“Do I sense some missage?”
Willow blushed. “A little. Like I said earlier. He’s Oz.”
Buffy smiled and looked around Spike’s apartment. “I think I know what you mean.”
Willow pulled Buffy in for a hug. “When you headed back?” Willow asked as she and Buffy pulled apart.
“Soon. I wanna be with Spike, but he’s got this life.”
Willow nodded then smiled. “He’ll come with you. Just stay here for 2 more weeks okay.”
Buffy looked at Willow. “What do you know?”
“Oh did I forget to tell you? I have a little seerer in me now.”
“When did that happen?”
Willow looked at her. “After I gave Angel back his future. Lorne let me use a spell to have some of his powers without the weaknesses.”
“Wow Will that’s great.”
“Yeah I know. Okay well I’m going to go. Love you Buffy. Please be careful.”
“Always am.” Buffy smiled as Willow left.


Authors Note: there you go. Chapter 12. Is ne one actually reading this story??? Just curious cuz i dont get very many reviews. Hell I'll take the bad one's even. Am I a bad writer?? Sorry just curious.
Oh and I'm gonna give the good readers (dark angel) a little treat. Just wait for it.
