Joss: Season Four

LOS ANGELES - 1998

Joss brings the staff meeting to order.

JOSS-
"Okay, everybody, we have a few things to go over. First, David is supervising the production of 'Angel'....by the way, Marti and Jane...no, David doesn't need any personel assistants." Marti and Jane puts their heads down on the table in defeat.

MARTI-
"You're so mean....bring him back."

JOSS-
"Don't worry...Buffy will have a new boyfriend named Riley Finn." Joss shows everyone a picture on Marc Blucas.

JANE-
"He's cute.....but no Angel."

JOSS-
(sighs) "Look, just give him a chance. Let's move on....I have some good news and bad news. The bad news is that Seth Green has only signed up for six or seven episodes, he's going to go off and make movies."

DOUG-
"What's the good news?"

JOSS-
"James Marsters has signed up for two full seasons, and we're making Spike into a good guy."

DOUG-
"How is he suddenly a good guy?"

JOSS-
"Oh, it won't be sudden, in fact it will take the entire season and maybe even into the next season. One of the major story arcs of the season is that the government and they put a chip in his head so he can't bite anyone."

MARTI-
"Cool."

JOSS-
"I have this idea about a silent episode."

JANE-
"A silent episode....like with no dialogue?"

JOSS-
"Yup....well, that's it everyone." The staff gets up and starts to leave. "Oh, my the way...Willow's gay." Everyone stops and stares at Joss. "What?!"
