I know I didn't update in a really long time but I promise it won't happen again I just hit a little road bump called writer's block but I've maped out the whole story now and updates will be more frequent. Sorry for the wait.

Dawn entered her cabin and found 2 girls waiting inside. One was petite with short blonde hair that framed her face and the other had long straight dark brown hair that was streaked electric blue and worn half up half down.
“I’m Charlie,” the blonde said as she shook Dawn’s hand, “And this is Tibby.”
“Hey,” the girl said as she examined the video camera in her hands.
“I’m Dawn. So which bed is mine?” Dawn asked as she prepared to drop her stuff on the closest bed.
“The one by the window, unless you….” Charlie began.
“No that’s cool,” Dawn said as she went over and began to unpack.
“What are the odds they’d put all the girls with weird names in the same cabin?” Tibby asked.
Dawn smiled as Charlie laughed, “I don’t know.”
“So where are you guys from?” Dawn asked.
“L.A.” Tibby answered.
“Cool.”
“Not really, while the rest of L.A. lives in glitz and glamour, I work at the local Dairy Queen.”
“Ouch,” Charlie said, “Well, I’m from Sunnydale.”
“Me too,” Dawn said.
“Weird.”
“Yeah, I’ve never seen you around.”
“My parents just moved there, decided they need a change or something,” Charlie said, shaking her head, “Anyway, they’re getting settled, while I’m hanging out here at camp.”
“Do you plan on video taping everything we say and do?” Dawn asked, when she looked over at Tibby who was inspected them through the camera.
“That depends on whether you turn out to be interesting or not but if you keep up this stuff….”
Dawn chucked a pillow at her and Tibby threw one back at her in response but Dawn ducked and it hit Charlie instead, sending feathers flying everywhere.
A little while later the 3 girls were all lying on Charlie’s bed giggling uncontrollably. A few pillows lay discarded on the floor and feathers were dispersed around the room.
“That was the best pillow fight of all time,” Charlie said.
“Maybe they’ll record it in the history books,” Tibby said with a smirk. Charlie’s stomach growled, “What was that?”
“My stomach. I’m starving,” Charlie informed the others.
“I have just the thing,” Dawn said, pulling a package of Oreos and a jar of peanut butter out of her trunk.
“Where’d you get those?” Tibby asked as Dawn put the food in the middle of the circle they had formed on the bed.
“My sister suggested I brought them. She said last time she went to camp the food was horrible and she practically starved.”
Tibby nodded her approval as she grabbed and Oreo and dipped it into the peanut butter. Dawn and Charlie followed suite.
“So what’s the deal do you guys have any boyfriends or anything?” Charlie asked.
“Or anything what else is there?” Dawn said.
Charlie shrugged, “I don’t know, friends with benefits?”
“No and no,” Tibby said, “But there is this guy where I work. He’s pretty cute.”
“What’s his name?” Dawn asked.
“Zach. He asked me to go out with him but I was going away to camp so we’re going when I come back.”
“Oooo,” Dawn and Charlie said with a laugh.
“What about you guys?”
“I’m happily single,” Charlie said and then turned to Dawn.
“I use to really like my beast friend named Connor but he moved away.”
“And?” Charlie said.
“And now it turns out he’s going to this camp too. I ran into him on the bus over here and we sat together,” Dawn said a big grin spreading across her face as she thought about it.
“Do you still like him?” Tibby asked.
“Of course she does look at her,” Charlie reasoned.
Dawn nodded, “I think I do.”
Charlie sighed, “This is just like out of one of those movies. Now you’re going to fall in love and get married and have lots of babies.”
Dawn laughed, “I don’t know about that. I don’t even know if he likes me. I don’t know if he ever liked me.”
“I know a way we could find out,” Tibby said.
“How?” Dawn asked.
“With this,” Tibby replied, holding up her Oujia Board.
“An Oujia board?” Charlie asked, skeptically.
“Come on, it’ll be fun,” Dawn said as they all gathered around the board and put their hands on the mover.
“Fine,” Charlie said, “But Dawn asks the question and then we’re done.”
“Why are you scared?” Tibby asked.
“No but I’ve heard creepy stories alright,” she replied.
“Why kind of stories?” Dawn asked.
“There was this one kid….” Charlie began.
“Okay, I’ll ask the question,” Tibby said, “Is Connor…..what his last name?”
“Stevens,” Dawn told her.
“Is Connor Stevens Dawn Summers’s soul mate?”
“I just want a boyfriend not a soul mate,” Dawn told her.
“It’s moving,” Tibby whispered.
“Oh my god,” Charlie exclaimed.
“Look it spelling out a name,” Tibby said.
“We didn’t ask it for a name,” Charlie said, a little panicked, “Why is it giving us a name?”
“C-H-A-R-L-I-E, Charlie,” Dawn said.
“W-E W-A-N-T Y-O-U,” Tibby read.
“Ahh!” Charlie screamed and Dawn and Tibby fell over, laughing.
“That was not funny,” Charlie yelled at them.
“Yeah it was,” Dawn said.
“You guys are so dead,” Charlie said, jumping out top of her 2 giggling friends and tickling them.
“Alright, alright,” Dawn said, “We give.”
“You win,” Tibby told her.
Charlie stopped and sighed, “Good now if you don’t mind I’m going to go get ready for bed.”

Dawn was sleeping soundly when she heard something tap her window. She looked outside and saw Connor looking back in at her. She opened the window, “What are you doing here?” she whispered.
“DO you wanna go for a walk?”
“Its almost 5 in the morning.”
“We better hurry then it’s almost sunrise,” he said with a charming smile.
“Let me get dressed,” she told him, “Wait out front.”
Ten minutes later Dawn met Connor outside the front of her cabin. She was wearing cotton shorts, a white tank, a pair of flip flops, and her hair was thrown back in a messy bun. It was too early to think about getting dressed up for a boy. Although she did commend herself for remembering to put on a light coat of make up.
They were fairly silently on their walk up towards the lake except for the occasional word about their roommates.
“Here we are,” Connor said when they reached the shore of the lake.
“Wow,” Dawn said as they sat down side by side.
“Can I tell you a secret?”
“Sure.”
“I really missed you.”
Dawn smiled, “I missed you too.”
“Can I tell you another secret?”
“Yeah.”
Connor moved in closer to her as the sun began to rise over the trees, “I use to have the biggest crush on you.”
“Can I tell you a secret? I still do,” she whispered as she moved her face closer to his. She could fell his breath on her skin and his hair brushed against her forehead.
“I’ve wanted to kiss you since I first saw you.”
“Today?”
“No, when I first saw you,” he clarified as he closed the gap between them and their lips met.
Dawn closed her eyes and began to kiss him back. He tasted so good she thought and he was so warm. She felt his hand on her waist and she moved hers behind his neck, where she began to stroke his hair as the kiss intensified.
