My Buffy Poems: Poem

A poem Dawn wrote after Buffy died

What do you do when you loose a loved one ?
Do you fall apart and wish to die to ?
Do you neglect your feelings and hope the pain will go away ?
Or do you embrace them with all your heart and pray ?

You can ask yourself a hundred questions and more,
but the truth is, nobody knows.
There isn't a single person on this planet who knows what to do when you loose someone.
Some people just continue their life with a broken heart,
others wait for them to fall apart.

The loss of a loved one brings enormous pain in our lives,
It is as if your heart is filled with a thousand knives.

You try to move on, try to find some sunshine,
but my truth is, that as long as she is gone,
my soul is gone too...

It has flown away to wherever she is,
the only thing I pray...
...Is that she's happy, unlike me.
