ANGEL: A Feeling Down Your Spine

by Quortoth

Chp;10 A Feeling Down your Spine.

Spike started off his morning looking through his mail. He noticed a letter in the mail. Then he thought for a moment. Spike looked at Emma who was sitting on the couch.
“Emma, you mind spending a couple of days at Angel‘s?” questioned Spike.
Emma replied now sitting upside down playing the video game, “With great amounts of intensity. Why?”
“You might have to,” he answered.
“What?”
“I’ve got to go somewhere,” replied Spike.
“Then bring me,” she suggested.
“I can’t do that.”
Emma turned off the video game and sat up, “Why I can take care of myself, I don’t want to be around Angel cause then I end up around his little nib let son of a bitch.”
“Don’t talk that way it makes you sound low,” scolded Spike, in a nice way.
“So, you say it. Curse all the time,” said Emma.
“I’m a grown up, until you’re 18 I tell you what’s what. No foul language,” stated Spike.
“Fine, so you’re gonna use your adulthood to force me to stay with Angel? Huh is that it?” questioned Emma.
“Maybe, I have to go pay in on some dept with old friends people I knew,” said Spike.
“Is it dangerous?”
“I don’t know, but I want you to be good for Angel, I am going to leave you with him,” said Spike.
“If something bad happens I want an address.”
“You’ve got nothing to worry about, and I’m not letting you follow me,” said Spike.
“No, I want to know so if something bad happens I can seek great vengeance.”
Spike smiled shaking his head, “Daddy’s girl.”

Angel is was with Gunn. They were talking with a nice demon clan. This demon clan looked like the blue man group covered in scabs. These demons’ speech clicked a lot. Gunn knew the entire way of it from left over memory from W&H.
Gunn spoke in tongues, “We slayed that infestation.”
The Leader clicked back angrily, “But there’s blood all over our coven walls!”
Gunn translated to Angel, “There’s blood all over their walls.”
Angel tried to speak in tongues, but it just came out very different then intended, “I’d like to see you in a dress and lipstick.”
“Angel don’t you know you’re not good with these languages,” said Gunn trying stop Angel, he then addressed the clan, “I’m very sorry.”
Angel spoke to the clan again, “I’ll devour your soul and put it in my back pocket.”
“Angel stop before you make things messy,” said Gunn.
“You foul man, we will take apart your body and take waste to your threats, and finally devour your excrement,” growled the leader.
Gunn really needed to clear things up, “We’re so deeply sorry, he can’t speak your language, the weird freaky man will learn his place last year we had the same trouble.”
Spike and Emma came in to Angel office. The demons watch Emma and Spike.
“Ooh, Mithle demons, you know how much money you can get in Quortoth for their heads, real rare,” said Emma folding her arms, “That take care of you debt.”
“Spike I’m in a meeting get out,” said Angel.
“Ignore the visitors,” Gunn said the clan.
“Oh, Charlie can talk the talk,” smiled Emma like she was making fun of him.
“I’ve got a deal for ya Angel,” stated Spike.
Blood began to drip from the Leaders’ mouth, that’s what naturally any one of this clan does when they’re angry, “Filthy man whore brings in others we’re shamed, talks of taking our heads.”
“ Have no fear there your scariness,” Emma clicked.
“What’d they say?” asked Angel.
“Uh that…” started Gunn.
“They called you a man whore,” said Emma.
“Fine, hey, I meant nothing against this clan,” said Angel.
“Well I told you to stop talkin’,” said Gunn rubbing his head.”
“And I wouldn’t be pissing them off. Baddies, they mess in the major dark arts. They bleed when they get angry,” she smiled, “Like that one there.”
“What do you want Spike?” asked Angel.
“A favor,” said Spike.
“Now, I’m in a meeting,” said Angel.
The leader spoke out turning to leave,“ Good day, we wont forget this visit and something will be returned to you in our favor.”
“Hey, they’re leaving,” said Emma.
“ Get your cheese cake over here,” said Angel trying, nicely, call them back.
“Angel,” said Gunn, “Stop talkin’.”
The leader left with his other clan members.
“Don’t you want to know the favor?” said Emma fiddling with her hands, cracking her knuckles.
“No, not really, Spike I don’t really owe you anything, for you to suggest me giving you favor,” said Angel.
“Fine, you want Emma going around L.A. not being watched?” asked Spike.
“That was an option?” questioned Emma.
“No. I going to be gone for awhile, I need someone to take care of Emma till I’m back,” said Spike.
“No, what, no you take her with you,” said Angel folding his arms.
“No, I don’t want her getting hurt,” exclaimed Spike.
“You’ve got nothing to worry about Spike, she can take bullets I think she’ll be okay,” he said.
“I can’t take her, I have my reasons,” said Spike.
“I’ve got to go catch the leaders,” suggest Gunn going to the door.
“Mithle demons are stingy types guard you’re family jewels,” suggested Emma.
“Don’t worry,” replied Gun leaving the room.
“So will you do it?” said Spike.
“Absolutely not,” replied Angel.
“Come on you want to take a big chance of something happening to your little kitten?” said Spike.
“Conner has school, so I have nothing about him to worry about,” said Angel.
“I could track his smell,” suggested Emma.
“Are you threatening me?” questioned Angel, “Are you threatening Conner?”
“Depends on how you take it,” stated Emma.
“Come on,” said Spike.
“I can’t believe I’m helping getting myself watched by this ass.”
“Don’t talk that way about your sitter,” said Spike looking at her then back at Angel.
Angel made his thinking face, he took a breath, “When are you coming back.”
“A week at the most I’ll be gone,” said Spike.
Angel struggled out the words, “Fine, but she has to listen to everything I tell her to.”
“Yeah right,” scoffed Emma.
“As long as it’s not weird she’ll do it,” said Spike.
Emma folded her arms and spoke like a true teenager, “Ruin my life.”

The Mithle demons were at that minute already past Gunn’s grasp and doing there own thing. Never make a group of demons that specialize in dark magic angry.

Conner was pacing the lobby floor. He was talking on his celphone. Conner was talking to Teresa. Emma could hear over the conversation as she sat on the bar leaning against the wall. [I want to say what she’s wearing, A yellow tank top and jeans with her boots. Yellow :-P]
“Yes, I know you miss me. Trish, calm down, you see me everyday, don’t worry….. Yes I know we have to plan guests…. Yes you want to get your dress,” he smiled, he started too look at Emma who was drawing a rose on her Art notebook, “….Yeah, I have to go. Bye…. Yes.”
Emma looked up at him, “Girl Eh?”
Conner put his celphone in his jean pocket, “Yeah.”
“You marring that girl,” asked Emma going back to her drawing, left handed, [I don‘t know if I ever said that she was left handed like Spike,] “Fine if you want to waste life. She seems a little needy to me.”
“Shut up,” said Conner, he looked at her drawing pad, “What are you drawing, Rose?”
She showed him, “Whatever, but I’d think my choices before I go making them.”
“And you’re the poster child for life choices,” replied Conner.
“But now I save people. Thank you very much.”
“Teresa saves people, she’s going to be a doctor,” said Conner proudly.
“Just a Quack,” she replied slightly.
“Drop dead,” stated Conner.
“I’d like to see that,” said Emma.
“God you’re immature,” scoffed Conner.
Emma put down her pictured and got off the counter and looked into Conner’s eyes, “Fighting me won’t get you anywhere, you’ve killed how many people, none, give me a reason, perfect reason. I want to be good but just give me one perfect little reason.”
Emma walked back to the counter, grabbed her drawing book and went past Conner, “I’ve killed,” said Conner, “Once, and one time I almost killed a whole room of people.”
“#s that’s all. Innocent lives, #s. You can‘t compare to me, and don’t do that anymore, makes it sound like you’re trying to be what’s words,” she thought, “Mildly sincere about it, like we’re the same.”

“It’s not her fault,” said Wesley laying on his bed.
“I know you’ve notice that. As long as you’re doing good,” said Angel.
“Yeah, I’m doing good. As good as I’ll get for a while,” sighed Wesley.
“Go visit Fred’s parents. They need to know,” stated Angel.
“I know,” said Wesley, “I just, don’t see why I can’t go crazy or die from heart brake.”
“Life’s hard when you loose a loved one, but you’ll adjust, you’ll get through this.”
“Unfortunately,” said Wesley, “I’ll slowly grow over it.”
“We’ll all miss her,” sighed Angel.
Wesley, coughed clearing his throat.

Later was the time. Later isn’t really a natural time just an amount of future. Later, see later. Later on.
An amount of time. Angel sat his desk during, Later, and Later o’clock. Angel was arranging stuff on his desk. Keeping clean, no calls today.
A day off from saving the world, who’d of think it?
Conner came in closing the door behind him, “Emma’s hanging out here but no Spike, this is odd.”
“I’m babysitting Emma till Spike comes back,” said Angel, “It’s not all that hard, give her some drawing paper and she’s like a unnatural four year old, quiet.”
“Just great,” Conner asked, “Something happening?”
“Nothing, no calls,” said Angel.
“Well maybe it’s just a down day,” said Conner.
“Wesley and Gunn went to see Fred’s parents, Emma’s here, You, just us,” replied Angel. The lights went out. They looked confusingly around the room. There was a pause, “Now that just makes it a little odder doesn’t it?”
“Did you pay the electrical bill?” asked Conner.
“Do I look like I have the money for that?” asked Angel.

Emma was walking around the Halls of the Hyperion. she was spray painting stuff on the walls :-p Emma was writing the letters F the U. Then the lights went out. She looked around and then went to the stairs.

Conner and Angel walked out of the office into the Lobby. Emma was walking towards them. She had a sword in her hands. Emma was dragging it along the wall. It was scratching into the walls.
“HEY!!” said Angel.
Emma put the sword behind her back, she went wide eyed in reply, “HEY YOU!!”
“What’s with the lights going out?” questioned Conner.
“I don’t know, you tell me,” suggested Emma.
“They just went out. And what the hell were you doing to my walls?!” demanded Angel.
Emma smiled then replied bluntly, “Nothing.”
“I smell spray paint,” said Conner.

Angel smelled the air.
“No you don’t,” said Emma.
“Yes you do, what else have you been doing?” asked Angel.
Emma looked suspicious. She then tossed the sword.
“Lets go and see about turning on the power,” said Angel.
Not noticing the walls had drips of blood seeping out of them, the group went towards the basement.

In the basement They stepped down the stairs. That cage was still down there.
“What were you sods keeping in this baby?” questioned Emma looking at the bars.
Angel went to the power box, “Angelus.”
“Oh, you,” said Emma, “What someone get on your extra good side?”
“No, we needed to learn about a demon,” said Angel opening the power box and looking at all the switches.
“Maybe something did it,” said Conner emphasizing ‘something.’
“Highly doubt it, it could just be a random odd coincidental power outage,” said Emma, “Spell that,” said Conner.
She looked at him gauntly, “T. H. A. T. now bite me.”
“Stop fighting, this isn’t the time,” said Angel.
Angel flipped some switches and looked at the wires linking to the switches.
“Shouldn’t the place be turned off before you start looking at wires?” questioned Conner.
“It’s not like he’s going to get shocked to death,” said Emma watching Angel through the cage bars.
Angel flipped the largest switch, [I don’t know what that thin is called, it looks like something kind of activation switch from an electric chair.] There was sparks and Angel backed up burning his hands.
Emma came out of the cage, “But our Angel can catch fire.”
“Be quiet,” said Angel.
Emma shrugged her shoulders.
SUDDENLY A wall shot between the three of them. The bars of the cage were shattered onto the floor, automatically the cage was dissembled. They were in their own little rooms.
Angel backed into one of the walls. Emma spun around seeing the drywall thick, plaster walls. They were at the ends of Halls, the dead ends.
“CONNER, EMMA!!!!!” called Angel.
The couldn‘t here each other, “HEY, ANYONE!!!!!” yelled Conner.
“Bloody hell,” sighed Emma feeling the walls.
In Angel’s end he was just at the end of a hall as Conner and Emma. Emma rubbed the plaster walls of her side and the wall made a low groaning sort of growl. Emma pulled her hand away. The walls rumbled. She looked at the ceiling.
Conner stepped away from the wall.
“Conner, Emma,” Angel was saying it quietly, “Something’s in the walls.”

Angel walked down the hall. Angel sniffed the air. At the end of the first hall he saw that this place. His own hotel was like a maze. He took in a deep breath, the smell filled his nostrils, “Blood.”
Angel whiffed the air again and went to the right. The walls growled low and aggressively. He kept walking.

Conner slowly and cautiously walked through the hall. He didn’t walk along the walls cause to him the sounded kind of hungry. He came to the same situation. He took the left hall.

Emma looked at the walls, she walked slowly down the hall. She did as Angel did and whiffed the air. Emma looked at her short nails. She put them to the wall. You could feel it rumble with anger.
Emma the took her nails and scratched them into the walls, paint came down with her fingers, under revealed dry wall. Then the paint sunk in, it created inch small holes. In the holes were dark. Emma looked in them. Blood dripped the edges, but not of hers.
She looked. Then a flash, something was in the wall it ran past the holes. She looked wide eyes. Then she kept looking. The wall roared loudly, the thing the eyes were yellow they slowly walked past the holes again.
“What are you?” she asked disgusted.
She backed away. The eyes roared with greed. QUICKLY Two scabbed, bloody, demonic, evil hands grabbed her. The hands put themselves around her, over her mouth on her face.
The hands smelled decay, the decay filled her nostrils. She could almost taste it. The hands kept her held to the wall. There were long nailed and sly. Things of nightmares. Emma grabbed the hands.
She struggled against them trying to sever then from her.

Conner was still walking. He turned another corner. There was screams. Conner kept going. In that next hall something was written on the walls. It was in some kind of demon language. In Blood. Conner looked at it.
Then he heard gnawing groans. Choking sounds. He turned around, nothing was there. Then he looked forward. That thing making the gnawing sound was coming out of the floor. It was like the hands that had held Emma.
The bones moved funny, like they were jittery and sort of uncontrolled. Not even a neck for a head, just the shoulders. The shoulders seeped out of the hole in the floor. An nauseating smell rose in the air.
Conner made choking sounds smelling the death amongst him. He curled over as he tried back a way. He could taste the dead thing coming towards him. He felt has though he was going to through up, he would of heaved up the inside of his stomach.

Angel slowly walked the walls, he saw scratch marks on the walls. They were bloody. Originally these marks were made by the sword Emma was dragging with her. Angel felt that he was near the lobby.
Angel hadn’t known how far back Emma had been doing this stuff. Angel looked at the walls, paint was draped in letters. Emma had painted pictures and odd markings on the walls.
“Emma’s been here,” he didn’t want the walls to hear if they had ears, so he talked ever so quietly, “Maybe I’m getting somewhere.”
He kept walking down the halls following the painted pictures and bloody sword marks. He followed them ignoring the growling. The walls started to let out sly, little screams.
Angel went along a corner. Something jumped behind him. It wasn’t seen. Angel kept going. It went again, Angel halted. He turned. It went again.
A rising fear was coming into Angel. The room grew cold around him as the demon shift around through the walls.
Angel then started walking forward. His pace quickened. He turned a corner. The noise grew to a shriek. He turned to see one of those things, feasting on a body of some kind. It looked happy just peeling it’s skin away with it’s teeth.
“What are you?”
The demon smelled severely of blood. The skin had blood gush from under it as each individual piece was torn away. Severed from it’s original person.
Slowly the demon lifted it’s head up. A suspenseful feeling came into Angel. The demon looked him dead in the eyes. It roared angrily. And Angel started backing away.

Emma was being held by the hands still. A head came out of the wall, blood soaking the wall’s materials. Emma scratched at the hand quickly, she pulled away, she let out a scream and the hands pulled out of the wall. She jumped away. The demon screeched at her blood flowing from the demons’ mouth onto the floor.

Conner stepped away as his own demon came from the floor towards him. Conner turned. Conner took down off down the hall. He came to then end of a hall and turned and went against from it hiding.

Emma ran from the demon and ran around the corner and kept going.

Angel ran down the hall. A hand came out of the wall quickly and grabbed him. A head jumped out, the neck was at least 4ft long. It went at him blood gushing out of his mouth, thick and bubbly. It bit his neck aggressively.
Angel let out a yelling groan of pain.
He then pulled it off and went the other direction, as easily as he could he applied pressure to the wound. He went off down another hall. He kept going. Another one leaped out of the wall and bit him in the stomach and clamped on.
Angel roared with pain. Angel would of beaten it off if her could. The thing wouldn’t let go it held on like it’s life mattered more then Angel’s.
The bite of the demon stung at his skin as the blood seeped into his own wound. He groaned in pain his face flexing from vampire to human. Back and Forth. The walls screamed like they were applauding for beautiful music.

Conner came to a hall of doors, he opened one and went in quickly. He slammed the door behind him. In the hall the thing had crawled out of the ground. It walked along the wall, it’s mouth shifted shapes and blood flowed out.
The feet that it had touched the ground. It’s knees flopped down. It’s shoulder touch the wall and dug into the plaster.

Emma walked into a hall of windows, these windows lead into offices. She saw something moving behind her. She kept going something grabbed her leg. It was one of those hands. It leaped up to her climbing her body quickly.
Emma kneed it then ripped it off before it could bite her. She threw him off. It went into the wall. She had it’s blood in her hair. Emma then jumped through one of the windows just to get away.
The window lead to a room, not outside, a room. A let go, thought of escape, the escape right there. Then it turns out you’re just in another room.
Something grabbed her and slammed her against a wall. Conner. Emma looked him in the eyes.
“You,” said Conner.
Emma pushed him off her, “Keep off.”
“What’s going on?” asked Conner.
“I don’t know.”
They looked to the window where she had come in at. The demon started standing up and there was one trying to get through the door, it was scratching.
“What are they?” asked Conner.
“Mithle demons, angry sorts,” said Emma.
They were very quiet about it. Conner picked up a piece of glass from the window.
“Where should we go?” said Conner.
Emma was listening, “They’re in the walls, and vents.”
“Everywhere,” said Conner his back to Emma’s.

Angel ripped the demon off of his body and it bit into his arm. Suddenly another shoved a hand through the wall and grabbed a hold of him and pressed it’s fingers into his jugular. Angel punched it then ripped it from him. He ran off limply. Then he came upon a sword. It was Emma’s but this wasn’t near the lobby where she had tossed it. Angel picked it up and looked to the demon.

Emma and Conner were looking for any sort of exits that didn’t lead into the same place. The scratching at the door stopped.
“Go look,” said Emma.
“No,” replied Conner.
Emma looked at him. Conner looked to the door. He went to it, he opened it slowly and cautiously. The demon wasn’t to be seen. Conner called for her quietly as the demon started crawling over the glass and window seal. [I imagine the demons crawl like Samara in ’The Ring’ movies.]
Emma followed Conner. They ran out into the hall.
“Come on. We can’t go that way,” said Conner.
“Don’t touch the walls, these things are a might bit frisky,” stated Emma.
“Come on,” said Conner.
Emma and Conner started walking quickly down the hall. They would run but their running might make the culprit demons notice them. The floor shook as they walked quickly. The halls ceiling had some dust come from it, it being jarred. The shaking got harder.
They started running. The ceiling was falling in. They ran to another room. They went in and slammed the door shut. Emma pushed a desk against it to barricade it. The ceiling of this room didn’t fall a bit. Things were quiet now, just quiet.
There was one desk in the room. Emma pointed towards the desk. Conner looked at her crazy. Emma grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him over to it. She crawled under. It could fit the both of them under it. They got in the leg area.
It was squished but they wouldn’t be seen if the chair was pushed in. It was the only place that they could hide having it be that the bed was turned over, no mattress. The room was in shambles, like a bunch of the Hyperion rooms.
Conner pulled the chair in right before one of the demons came in. Everything was quiet. Emma and Conner acted like they didn’t need to breath. They were squished very close looking at each other listening. The demon looked around, which was odd because it had nothing of eyes what so ever.
Then something shot through the top of the desk, they didn’t make a sound, they were looking at each other wide eyed with great silence. Then is shot through again. Conner no longer bore his shard of glass.
The thing shot through the top again. Blood dripped under the desk, a little not that much. Emma had her hand in it. Then one of the blade like things shot through the side hitting Emma in the arm.
Emma winced with pain, “Ah,” she gasped slightly.

The demon then quickly threw the desk from on top of them. The thing let out a screaming roar of joy and evil. Emma and Conner got up Emma held her arm. Her arm felt on fire. The smell didn’t help either.
Conner and Emma stood next to each other looking at the hideous beast. The thing’s feet bled and their was a slight wind blowing through the room from now where.
“Not Good,” said Conner.
It shot one of it’s blades at them, from it‘s arm. Emma pushed Conner down to block it. Then he moved her out of the way as it shot again. They had hit the wall. Then another one of those demons stepped out, it started shooting it arm blades at them.
Emma back flipped over one. Conner dodged one. One scratched Conner’s arm. Then Emma pushed him across the room as one shot at him and stabbed him in the stomach. Not the same as stabbing Emma.
The blade shot sparks, electricity. Conner groaned loudly in pain as he tried to pull it out cutting his hands. Blood was coving his stomach and his hands.
He shook and trembled. Conner looked at Emma wide eyed and mouth opened like he was traumatized. Conner was gasping for breath. The room shook.
Emma went to him quickly and snapped the blade. It then soaked into his body. His nose started to bleed. He went to the ground like a sack of Rocks. Emma ran over and grabbed him by the shirt and left that room quickly.
Emma quickly dragged him down the hall. He helped the move as much as possible in his condition. Emma dragged him to another room and put him on the ground. This room had many filing cabinets. Emma pushed several in front of the doors, two ways in and out. She ran to Conner.
Blood dripped from Conner’s mouth as he looked at her. Electricity shot through his body abruptly. It hurt him deeply to feel it. He felt like his heart was becoming enlarged. His blood burned.
“I bet you wonder what’s happening. See you’ve been infected, this demon can infect you because you’ve got a lot of human in you. Now to remove the thing in your body before it attaches to your spine and kills you I need to put my hand in that wound to get it out,” said Emma looking at his clammy skin, his blood shot eyes, “It’s gonna hurt like hell,” Emma took a breath then, she took her hand and placed it into Conner’s wound in his stomach area, “Don’t worry.”
He winced in pain. There was quick scratches at the door into the room. Like an overgrown cat wanted to come in and eat at the dinner table. Blood dripped in from the under the door slowly. The plug socket bleed. The light bulb in the ceiling light bled.
Conner looked over to the door wincing in pain. Emma had sparks fly up her arm. She winced. Conner groaned loudly blood coming out of his nose. He jerked.
“Stay still!” roared Emma.
She got shocked harder. Conner convulsed again his eyes started rolling in his head. He felt a dizzy nausea going through his body. Those shocks hurt him too in the same way.
Emma’s eyes went yellow. She then yanked her hand out of his stomach quickly blood covering her hand. She held the melted looking blade in her hand. Conner stopped convulsing and looked at it.
He grabbed his wound. Emma was being shocked at that moment. The demon part blade then turn into dust in her hand. Her eyes reversed as the scratching at the door got heavier and the filing cabinets was being moved slightly.
Emma put her hand over Conner’s wound, it healed to a scratch, almost done. But then the thing jumped through the door and slammed the blade across Emma’s cheek. Emma was thrown backwards. It stood at the broken door it’s buddy coming in.
Screech, Screech, Conner stood up. Emma’s cheek healed. Se got up rubbing off the left over blood from her face. She and Conner stood side to side. Another blade shot at them, from both demons. They ducked.

The demon came towards Angel. Then one came out of the wall behind him. He didn’t hear him. He took the sword and quickly cut off the head of the one behind him. Then he kept going. He went down the hall and took a right.
Behind him even more demons were coming out of the wall. 4, 5, 6. So many. He kept going. One jumped out at him as he limped his way down the hall as quick as possible.

Emma and Conner dodged another blade. Bloody and cut. The two demons then stood together and fused. Emma and Conner were getting up off the floor. Emma spit blood. Her whole body stung.
She itched, someone the demon made her feel at though she should scratch her veins out. Emma went against those urges.
Emma wasn’t healing right, and the demons were fused together, “That’s wrong.”
“What do we do?” asked Conner.
“I don’t know,” said Conner watching the demon.
There was scratching at the doors behind them. And the demon was letting out loud screams of love, hunger. It was shedding it’s skin the two brothers you could say, the two blending together. The skin bubbled at it dripped off it.
“Kill it,” said Conner.
“Obviously,” said Emma.
“How?” asked Conner.
“How else do you kill things with more speed then you and stronger then anything that has come at you in the while?
“Whatever.”
Blood dripped from one of the now four arms, that’s where the blade had been damaged. The demon roared spit and blood shooting from his mouth. Blood collected on the ceiling it was leaking through.
“No good without weapons,” said Emma.
They waited for the attack. Breathing heavy. Not ready, but about as ready as they’d be in awhile.
A blade went at Emma, she ducked. Emma landed. Conner back flipped over a blade as it came at him. Emma ran forward she flipped up dodged two blades. Conner leaped over a blade then ran towards the demon and jumped up kicking it across the head. Another blade then went at him cutting his arm.
This thing was fast. Conner went to the ground dodging another. Emma blocked a blade with her arm getting it cut badly, it healed slightly, then again. Emma snapped a blade when it swiped at her neck to cut her head off. Emma flipped forward dodging another as Conner was hit across the face. Emma Then kicked it across the head.
“GET IT’S ARMS AND I’LL RIP IT’S HEAD OFF!!!!” commanded Emma.
Conner went towards the monster. He leaped up over a blade as it scratched his chest. He landed behind the demon that quickly turned to him to bite him. Emma punched the demon in the head.
Then Conner kicked it across the face. Emma kicked the demon in the back and grabbed it by the head. She ripped it’s head off with a strong jerk. Her eyes yellow. She threw the head a side and punched it through it’s chest, it went to the ground.
“How many do you think there are?” questioned Conner bending over to catch his breath, looking at the door as the demon scratch.
“I know I’ve seen plenty,” said Emma.

Angel kept going. He opened up a door. He walked in. It was the room, Emma and Conner stood in there.
“Angel,” said Emma looking, she licked the blood off her lip.
“Finally,” said Angel.
The scratching at the door had stopped, Angel had just come through that door.
“Something tried to do you in,” said Emma looking at Angel’s wounds.
Emma eyes reversed. His wounds healed slightly as an arm went through the door that Angel had just entered.
“Come on,” said Angel.
They looked to the door. The demons were coming in quickly.
“Different ones,” said Conner standing up straight.
“They sting when they bite,” said Angel.
The demons walked towards them. QUICKLY a demon was behind Conner, Conner back handed it and kicked it in the head. Emma’s eyes went yellow. She leaped up and pounced on one. She punched one then kicked another on her left in the head.
One grabbed her and threw her. She hit the wall. Conner hit one across the face. Angel took his sword as the other one came out of the door. Blood dripped from the air vents. Emma flipped up on the wall then jumped over the demon that had gotten to her.
Emma then kicked it in the back of the head. Angel cut one’s head off. One bit Angel and he went against the wall. He jumped up leaped over two and a group of them bit them. Emma grabbed his sword and jabbed the blade into the demon. Then she kicked another across the head.
Conner ran over to the door. Angel threw a group of them off him. Emma went to the door. They ran out. They ran down the halls.
“I think we’re coming to the lobby,” said Angel.
“This way,” said Conner.
They ran into a room.
“Why here, we’ve already tried many times the whole hotel room Idea several times but so far it hasn’t work out too well,” said Emma.
“Maybe there’s weapons,” suggested Conner.
They ran in.
“THEY WALK THROUGH THE WALLS, FLOOR, THIS ISN’T WORKING!” yelled Emma outraged.
“I’m not stupid I know that, so does Angel by the look of it,” said Conner.
“Stop we need to find more weapons,” said Angel.

The demons stepped out of the door, the wall. More. One came at Conner. He grabbed the sword from Emma’s hand and swiped at and it’s head went off. Emma jumped up and kicked one. Then she punched it through the head as she landed.
Angel was tossed the sword and stabbed another, he turned to his left, punched one then sliced it’s head off.
Angel tossed the sword to Conner stabbed through two of them, then kicked them off the blade. The demons started blocking Emma’s attacks. Emma punched at it but it blocked. Then it bit her shoulder. Emma grabbed her shoulder. Conner sliced the monster off of her.
She held her shoulder. The skin was doing something. It started to shred itself and peel slightly it was bleeding. Emma healed it, then it started doing it again.
“I’m not healing correctly,” said Emma.
Conner stabbed a demon. Then he sliced it’s head off. Emma crawled across the floor and sat against the head board of a mattresses bed. She got up.
Blood started to come out of her mouth slowly. Then she got down on her knees. She kept trying to heal.
“Help,” groaned Emma.
Conner looked over. Emma started throwing up blood.
“HELP HER!!” demanded Angel.
Conner went to her. She then coughed up more blood. Conner moved her hand from her shoulder.
“The demon bite is getting bigger,” said Conner.
“It’s trying to eat…. My skin!” said Emma tears running down her face.
Conner had already thrown Angel the sword, Angel sliced another’s head off, “Try to save her.”
“I don’t know how,” said Conner.
“It’s not healing,” said Emma a little hysteria in her voice.
The bite was turning from gone to gapping hole quickly. Emma winced in pain. Emma looked up, she started gagging, she cough and gagged. Emma bent forward.
Emma started heaving for breath, heaving to get something out. Then she puked up More blood. Her ears were bleeding. Conner watched in a amazement. The demons weren’t going either. Emma looked at him.
“This is gonna hurt. No more healing it,” she gasped.
Emma sat back on her knees she stopped trying to heal it. Then the bite’s poisons ate away her skin. Slowly the poison started singeing her skin. The skin slowly disappeared, then the muscle. All of it.
This body was unrecognizable. She looked as surly dead. There was no other way, she wouldn’t of survived, her veins and heart with eaten away. She looked like a skeleton covered blood that had been a burn victim. And still there was left a little meat.
The air smelled of rotted flesh. Conner could stop staring, but then he stood up. Conner stood up, “She’s dead.”
“What?” said Angel.
He threw one of the demons across the room. The walls laughed as the demons started to retreat into the floor and back away into the walls. Conner looked at his bloody hands. Then he looked at Emma. Angel came over.
“Maybe those demons wanted to kill Emma. Get rid of her,” said Angel.
“She said they were Mithle demons,” said Conner.
“Mithle demons, then this doesn’t end with her. Those, it doesn’t,” said Angel.
“Why?” asked Conner looking at Emma’s remains.
“I think I pissed off a group of them,” sighed Angel, “Lets go.”
They walked away towards the door, Conner looked at his sword. There was a rustling sound. Sound of thumping. Like a heartbeat.
“Do you here that?” asked Angel.
“ Heart beat?” asked Conner.
Emma’s dead body fell sides ways. They looked to it quickly. Blood on the floor was soaking up as a heart was healing in the rib cage. Then the lungs began to form. The muscles started to rebuild themselves and then he skin slipped on like water Her clothes too.
Angel was shocked, “What the Hell?”
Emma looked up her eye lids not even fully formed, her eyes covered with blood veins and blue forming, she took in a loud gasp. She was fully formed back. She had the cuts from before. She started breathing quickly.
Emma looked at them, “Never came back that way before.”
“How?” questioned Conner.
“Healing,” said Emma standing up, “Lets go.”
The walls laughed. The Group went down a hall. None of those demons were in sight, but the walls were something else. Blood all over them. They kept going. The floor was even drenched in blood.

Angel and Them found Angel’s room. They went in there and angel went over to a chest and opened it. Weapons were inside. Angel handed Emma her gauntlets with those blades in them.
“That’s where those went,” she said, “Shame on you, thief,” said Emma putting the gauntlets on.
Angel handed Conner a sword, “We’re not going to go back out there?”
“Yes, whatever is going on, we can’t let it spill out in the city,” said Angel.
Water shot out of one of the air vent on the ground.
“I thought these things were more of the blood type not water,” said Emma.
The door slammed closed, “Not the time,” said Angel.
“We have to get out,” said Conner, The walls started growling again. Something was moving in the vent, “Where’s the vents go from?”
“I‘m not sure,” said Angel.
“Well I think we’ll have some good ‘ole funny visitors,” said Emma.
The vents popped off as water came spewing out. Blood in the water as well. The demons were coming through the vent shift and coming, pulling themselves. Moaning for the cure to their so called hunger, like the noise.
They stood looking at the vents, “They’re coming quickly,” said Conner.
“What do we do?” questioned Conner.
Emma looked down at the floor, water filling the room quickly, she didn’t like it, “Swim.”
“We don’t know how good those things are in water,” said Angel.
“You don’t loose your skin when they bite you. I can come back to life, but Mr. Kitty here won’t, we can’t fight them in water, She looked down at her shoes which were covered with water, “I liked these shoes too.”
The water was knee deep now, blood flowed in it as the monsters groaned.
“Don’t worry, shoes are the least of our problems,” said Conner.
“I’ve had these shoes for 10 years thank you very much,” said Emma.
“Really?” asked Conner.
“I don’t need to breath so I’m okay,” said Angel.
“Drowned before nothing unusual,” said Emma listening to the creaking of the vents.
“I have to breath though,” said Conner.
“That’s important. Breathing is something very important,” reassured Emma.
“Look for something,” said Angel.
“What something?” asked Conner.
“I don’t know, just something,” Angel looked around him room quickly, he looked in the chest, “Find something.”
“The vents are filled with water, door shut,” said Emma.
“Demons behind the door,” stated Conner.
“Just find something!” demanded Angel.
They walked through the water as the vent creaked loudly. They looked around Angel looked in the chest and pulled out a couple of explosives. Grenades.
“We can use these,” said Angel.
“What are those?” asked Emma.
“Explosives,” said Angel.
“How’s that gonna work, you’re going to through the vent and let them blow the demons in there up?” suggested Emma thinking Angel was still crazy.
Angel replied, “Yes.”
“The water is coming in with too much force. It’ll just throw one of those grenades back at us,” said Conner.
“Not if it thrown threw there with enough force that it gets far enough down there it blows up before it gets pushed back,” said Angel.
“Here,” he tossed the grenades to Emma, “Throw those in there.”
The water was getting higher, it was up to there hips.
“How exactly?” asked Emma.
“You throw as hard as a bullet?” questioned Conner.
“Yeah, how?”
“Pull a tab and throw it in there,” said Angel.
“What about the other vent?” questioned Conner.
“I expect her to be fast,” replied Angel.
He tossed her another belt of grenades.
“Piece of cake,’ smiled Emma.
Emma pulled a Grenade tab, then she quickly threw the first belt into a vent then she repeated the act QUICKLY in the opposite vent . Angel grabbed her and Conner and jumped into the water for cover.
The Grenades went through the vent as fast as a bullet, they went forcefully through the water. Then they exploded. The vents in the lobby were blown apart, the ceiling was Damaged. Water flowing out of them. Blood came shooting out of the vent from the demons.
Water started coming out of the ceiling now through some cracks. Angel, Conner, and Emma came up as the water kept falling.
“Get out through the vents!” demanded Angel.
They swam to the vents. Emma went out first, then Conner, then Angel. They went down the vents as the water shot settled in the vents. They came to the brake in the Lobby vent.
Emma leaped out of it, she landed on her feet. Conner landed as Angel did. Not as well as Emma. A demon came at them, Emma shut two blades out of her sleeves and jumped up twirled around in the air and sliced it’s head off.
Conner and Angel had brought there swords with them. Conner chopped the other one’s head off.
“Everyone alright?” asked Angel.
Emma retracted her blades, “What now, those things are gonna keep coming,” she looked down at the floor, water poring in, “I bet this place is locked up tight.”
“I think she’s right,” said Conner.

There was a flash of light and all of a sudden Angel was in a completely different place. Wolfram & Hart’s white room. He stood there. Emma and Conner stood before him.
They didn’t look right, “Conner?” questioned Angel.
They looked evil. Not them, they were dry for one thing and well looked a little dead. Not scabbed or anything, their eyes were yellow and they had fangs. Emma and Conner stood before him in their gaunt standard.
“Hi dad,” said Conner.
“Your not Conner,” said Angel.
Emma laughed, “But he is.”
“No,” said Angel not believing it.
“I’m what you would find, on the inside,” said Conner walking slowly towards Angel.
“Special isn’t he, well not more special then me,” she said innocently.
“What are you, what’s running this room now?’ questioned Angel.
“Don’t think we’re just some kind of figments of your poor hearted imagination,” sneered Emma coming around Angel back.
“We’re real,” said Conner.
“What did I do?” questioned Angel.
“Oh, what didn’t you do?” sneered Conner.
“See I have a good father, mines cares,” said Emma talking to Conner.
Conner shook his head yes, “Daddy never could care enough.”
“Are you trying to hurt me?” questioned Angel.
“No, well yes, sort of the point,” he talked angry towards him, “YOU, YOU’RE THE REASON EVERYONE DIES!”
“Everyone is dying around you,” hissed Emma.
“EVERYONE, CORDY, FRED, NOW YOU’RE GONNA LOSE SOMETHING ELSE!!!” Conner walked up to him and looked him in the eyes, “Wesley, Gunn, when will they get it to?”
“They’re not gonna die?” said Angel.
“Oh, What would Cordy think now, poor bitch,” scoffed Emma.
Conner laughed, “Yeah.”
“You’re a thing, some kind of demon wanting to trick me,” said Angel.
“So that’s what I am, a demon. Thanks,” said Conner, “I always knew you felt that way.”
“Conner isn’t a demon,” said Angel, “You are.”
Conner pushed down Angel, “What am I then, you never want to even think, maybe I can help. Maybe I can give my son the knowing of what he is!”
“Conner isn’t a demon and he has nothing to do with her, they’re not the same,” said Angel.
“You can’t save the world forever Angelus, you can’t. Because you’re evil, you’re alone, you’re the end. You’re a failure,” she hissed smiling at him.
“You know you fear it, the slow sure truth the was so describe,” said Conner walking towards Angel.
“But I don’t worry,” said Angel.
“You worry all the time,” stated Emma.
“Really I don’t worry,” said Angel.
“You fail everyone don’t think you don’t,” said Conner.
“My dad is so bleeding cool,” smiled Emma.
Conner punched Angel across the face. Angel got back on his feet.
“YOU RUINED MY LIFE!!” yelled Conner.
“YOU’RE NOT MY SON!!” said Angel.
Emma sat down on the floor cross-legged. Conner punched Angel again. Then he jumped up and kicked Angel across the head.
“You failed me so,” said Conner.
Angel laid on the ground, “You’re not my son,” said Angel, he flipped back up on his feet.
Conner punched him in the face. Angel went down on his face, he rolled onto his back and got up and Conner flipped him with his foot. He grabbed him by the shirt and tossed him over Emma. Emma then flipped up onto her feet. She went up to Conner.
“I told you,” she said to Conner, she caressed his cheek, “This is your job, don’t throw him to me.”
Conner smiled. Then he by past her and went to Angel. Angel wiped the blood from his face. He stood up. Conner leaped up and kicked him across the face.
“Your father thought you were a shame too,” said Conner.
“See now that’s the thing, you’re not real,” he got back up and blocked Conner’s blow, Then he went to kick Conner, Conner ducked, “My son doesn’t know about that part of my past.”

Conner hit him in the face. Then again. Conner flipped over Angel kicked him in the back. He gabbed him picked him up and slammed him down on his knee. Conner then threw him to Emma’s feet.
Conner jumped up flipped and went to pounce on him. Angel rolled to the side. He flipped back up. Conner threw a blow, Angel blocked it. Conner through another. Angel grabbed his fist, then Conner elbowed Him in the face.
Angel kneed him but Conner still stood unfazed. He then punched Angel in the head. He grabbed him and picked him up, he held him a couple of feet off the air. Conner’s touch burnt his skin.
“Ignorance is a weakness. Failure is Failure, Time is death,” said Conner.
Conner made a fist and went to punch Angel through the head. Angel pulled a dagger out of his pocket and ripped it across Conner’s throat. Conner turned into one of those Mithle demons and went down on to the ground dead.
Two more came up. Angel went to his sword. Emma had turned into one of those demons. He went up to them.
“I thought you were innocent, assholes,” said Angel.
He went at them with his sword in the air.

Emma and Conner were still fighting in The Lobby. Emma got cut, then she kicked one’s head off. Conner punched one threw another and chopped off his head. He grabbed one and tossed him aside and put his sword through his chest.
Emma chopped one’s head off flipped over another and punched one through the head. They got covered in blood. The demons tried to bite and bite. The room shaking around them.

Angel kicked one then sliced it’d head off. One pulled a dagger out and stabbed Angel in the shoulder. Angel stabbed it and kicked one in the head then ducked a blow. He sliced it’s head off and stabbed the finale one in the head.

Emma ducked a blow and kicked one in the head. She jumped up and tracked her blades and went to slice another one as Conner went to stab one. Then the demons all disappeared.
Conner dropped the sword and Emma landed spinning around to control herself.
The room slowly cleaned itself up everything started returning to normal. Emma and Conner looked for the demons. The lights flipped back on.
“I guess he won” said Conner, “Where ever.”

Angel looked at his sword. He kicked on of the bodies, “Yeah I bet you are dead, yeah,. Who’s the winner?”
Lilah waved at Angel, “Good job, I’m proud.”
“You,” sneered Angel going towards her, there was bright flash.

Angel opened his eyes and he was in the lobby.
“Everything’s good now,” said Conner.
Angel looked at them, “Really?”
“No more demons,” said Emma.
Angel looked around at the room and was amazed by the clean up, “Fixed.”
“You killed the demons,” said Conner.
“In the white room and Wolfram & Hart,” said Angel.

Night came a long and Emma was walking on the sidewalk coming back to Angel’s.
“Hey,” said Conner.
Emma looked at him, “What do you want?”
“You think I’m here to fight you don’t you?” said Conner.
“What else?” scoffed Emma.
“In there you didn’t care that we were bad with each other,” said Conner, “You saved me anyway.”
“So,” said Emma.
“You know, you’re a pretty good fighter,” said Conner.
Emma pushed Conner against the wall next to the entrance gate into that Hyperion garden, “Oh, get this Lonely, I’m not gonna be your friend. I don’t like you. Do I have to spell that?”
Conner pushed her hands off his throat, “Okay.”
“You’re a fool, small minded little boy who wants to play grownup,” she said removing her hands from his grasp.
“What makes you say that?” sneered Conner.
“Life’s about choices, good ones and bad ones, you,” said Emma, “Just like looking pretty about your wits.”
She walked off from him and he leaned against the wall not watching her go.
