Chosen One: Part Twenty

With a pop, Buffy and Angel suddenly found themselves back in the library. Looking at each other, they noticed the light was gone. Giles came out of his office with a brown tea stain on the front of his shirt, looking very surprised to see them.

"Wha…how’d you two get here? I thought you were rescuing Kathlin.” Angel smiled ruefully.

"So did we. But apparently she had other ideas.” Giles looked confused, and he motioned to them both to sit down.

"Giles, I think her changeover released certain mental powers. She moved both of us across Sunnydale, to this exact point here in the library, with her mind. And Buffy, she’s really sorry that she caused so much trouble for you. She never meant for any of this.” Now both Buffy and Giles looked confused.

"What do you mean?” Buffy asked, looking hard at Angel.

"Well, she never told anyone, but she was telepathic. She could read minds, she read mine the night she was kidnapped, and she could send thoughts as well. She told me through her mind-one good vampire to another, kind of thing.” Buffy and Giles looked shocked at this news. Then Buffy glanced at the clock. It read 3:34 AM.

"Well, I better go home and get ready to explain all this to my mom when she gets home at 9AM Meanwhile, I’m going to get some sleep and hope my mom is delayed in New York!?”
