Buffy looked at herself in the mirror. Her 14th birthday was fast approaching. Living in SCotland was strange to her. She looked at her fading Los Angeles tan.. She scowled.

"No fair! My hair's dry, my tan's fading, I've put on weight.. Gawd! No wonder Angel doesn't see me!"

Buffy examied herself in her full length mirror everynight. She'd been trying to impress "Angel" for weeks. Liam O'Conner, better known to everyone as Angel (something to do with his 15th birthday and a pair of fairy wings) was 2 years older than Buffy. He was a fifth year, a hot, popular fifth year!

Buffy was one of the most popular girls in her year, due partly to the fact that she moved over from L.A only 4 months ago, yet she was also stylish, cool, sociable... and for he guys sake.. Gorgeous. Guys flocked round her like bees to a honey pot, but Buffy wanted no one but Angel.

Once Buffy had finished scrutinising over imaginary fat and spots she slipped into her bed and slept. Her dream was a reoccuring one, she stepped into her party, dressed in a hot pink chiffon dress, the skirt stopping just above the knee, and everyone looked at her. In the middle of the front row was Angel, standing in his rugby shirt and jeans. He looked hot. He waslked over to her, asked her to dance then he dissapeared. Buffy woke up, uneasy. She glanced at her alarm clock. 4.53. She had another hour before she had to get up. Buffy tryed to get back to sleep, she failed. She decided that an extra hour to sort her hair would be perfect. Second period she had ICT. Angel had computing at the same time. Email opportunities if Buffy had the guts to email him. Not yet had she been able to hit the send button....
