Stripped: Cookies and Evilness, New York City
by Willes
Willow pulled one very hot tray of chocolate chip cookies that were definitely more chocolate than cookie. “I think I burned these!” she said, waving a hand over the smoke coming out of the oven. “I knew I shouldn’t try and bake, I just can’t do it. Kenn always does the cooking. I mean, I help, but if she isn’t around I just have some leftovers or something cold. Me and cooking are like two very unmixy things! I did make cookies that turned out once though, but they were from a box, and they were sorry cookies. Not cookies that were sorry, I was sorry, the cookies were only to help, and…” She was cut off by the sound of the smoke alarm blaring. “This really couldn’t be going any worse,” Willow said under her breath, getting up on a stool to turn off the alarm.
“Are you ok, Mikkel?” she asked.
Through the smoke she heard a muffled answer, “Yes,” and some coughs.
“Sorry about the cookies. I guess we should maybe just go for the movie. This is just a disaster. We could order something in,” Willow said, getting down from the stool and running straight into something that felt very slimy. Whipping around she came face to face with a Touruk Demon. Letting out a small scream, she turned around and spotted Mikkel surrounded by several more Touruk Demons. Never say things couldn’t get any worse! She scolded herself. With that, she gathered her courage and made a run for Mikkel. Grabbing his arm she pulled him from the group of demons and drug him out of the room.
“What ARE those things?” he asked.
“I don’t know, but we sure aren’t going to sit around here and find out!”
Unfortunately, they couldn’t run far. When they got out of the kitchen they were blocked by more demons. They were everywhere. Think Willow, think. She had to use magick; it was their only hope.
She didn’t have much magick left after the last couple of nights, but she had to try. Closing her eyes she began to focus her energies.
“What are you doing?” Mikkel hissed. “We need to get out of here!”
“Shhh,” Willow said. “Trust me.”
Then the barrier went up. The Touruk Demons tried to get through but, luckily for Willow and Mikkel, the barrier held.
“I can’t hold it for much longer!” Willow said franticly. “I don’t have the strength. Mikkel, I need your help!”
“What can I do? I don’t know magick!” Mikkel was scared. They were surrounded and there was no escape. They were sitting ducks.
“Trust me, Mikkel. I can do this, but I need to borrow some energy from you. You’ll be safe, I promise. Please, it’s our only hope!”
Mikkel looked at her skeptically. Then at the demons. He nodded. Willow reached out her hand and took his, but what she got when she did was much more then she could have ever imagined. Black, dark magick began to flow through her. She could feel it corrupting her. It started to pump into her, clouding her thoughts, changing her.
She turned to Mikkel with pitch black eyes. “What are you doing to me!” she managed to get out. She tried to pull away but it was too late. The rage was back, it consumed her, ate her alive.
Turning from Mikkel to the demons around her, she cracked a wicked little smile. “Get out of my house!” she screamed, spraying fire from her free hand at the surrounding demons. Howling in agony, the nearest ones burst into flame.
Walking to one of the remaining demons, she slit opens its stomach with a wave of her hand and pulled out its heart, throwing it against a wall.
“Anyone else want to play?” she asked laughing. Her hair was black and she had a death grip on Mikkel’s hand. The remaining Touruk Demon looked at her, terrified. Shaking its head, it turned to sneak out.
“What? You think you can just leave? But we just started to play.” She reached out her hand, magickally picking up the demon and flinging it against a nearby wall. “You and I have to talk.” She was sneering at it, its fear giving her pleasure, feeding her.
“I saved you for last!” she said, pointing to the fallen demon and lifting him to the ceiling.
That’s when Kennedy and the other slayers came bursting in.
“Willow! Are you…” Kennedy said, stopping to take in the scene in front of her. She saw the crispy demon bodies and a very scared Mikkel being drained by a very hungry Willow.
The other slayers looked on in shock. “Willow, what are you doing?”
“Kennedy, I am so glad to see you, baby.” Willow spat, in disgust. “It’s so nice of you to finally show up. Not a minute too late either. You want to play with one?” She flung the demon she had been lifting at Kennedy.
Kennedy dogged it. Faith quickly killed it. “Willow, I don’t know what happened but this is not you, please fight it.”
“Oh, sweetie,” she said, smiling evilly, “you have no idea how much this is me! Why fight it when I can feel this alive! No more being sick, I am strong now.”
“No, Willow! I won’t let you!” Kennedy screamed as she dove for Mikkel. With all her strength she grabbed the boy and pulled, breaking the connection between him and Willow.
Willow screamed, falling to the floor and instantly returned to her normal coloring. Kennedy got up quickly, moving to Willow. “Oh god, Willow. Willow are you okay? Faith, Vi, she’s not waking up. What happened?”
Faith and Vi ran over to Willow. The other slayers hung back. This was Willow, the one with the power to make slayers. But why did she seem so, evil?
Faith checked her pulse. She was breathing. “Kenn, she’s alive. We need to get her to a hospital or something. I don’t know.”
“Right a hospital.” Kennedy stood to get the phone, when she noticed Mikkel on the floor, dazed. “You!” she said, pouncing on him. “What did you do to her?” She grabbed him by the collar, lifting his feet off the floor. “What did you do to her?” she screamed. “She was fine before we left. I knew I shouldn’t trust you! I have ways to make you tell me, what did you do?” She was shaking him.
“Nothing,” he choked. “She said she needed help, needed power. She took my arm, I don’t know what happened.” The boy was shaking with fear.
That’s when Dawn, Frederick, and Ilya finally caught up with the group. Out of breath and panting, Dawn noticed the scene between Kennedy and Mikkel.
“Kennedy!” she screamed, running over. “What are you doing? Put him down!”
“Stay out of this, Dawn.” she said through gritted teeth. “He did something to Willow! I am going to find out what it was.”
“Kennedy,” Vi said, coming up behind the slayer and placing a tentative hand on her shoulder. “I know you’re upset, but look at him. He’s scared and shaking. Put him down and we can talk about this.”
Kennedy just stood there, holding Mikkel. There was furry in her eyes until she heard a small voice say her name.
“Kennedy,” Willow said weakly.
“Willow,” Kennedy said, dropping the boy to the floor. She ran to Willow’s side. “You’re awake, what is it?” Kennedy leaned down to try and hear Willow’s faint voice.
“I…” Willow began. “I..AAAHHHHHHH.” She began to scream and thrash. “No” she said. “No get off!”
“No, no not now, not now!” Kennedy said, starting to panic.
“K, what’s going on?” Faith asked.
“It’s an attack, she’s having one now. This is what happens. Faith, I need your help. She’s getting stronger with each one of her new attacks. I can’t hold her.”
Faith just stood there shocked watching. “Faith! Now!” Kennedy said, pulling her out of her daze. Faith jumped to, and ran over the slayer and witch. Grabbing Willow’s legs, she held her down until the ranting and thrashing stopped.
“We need to get her to bed,” Kennedy said after the attack had subsided. She picked the redhead up in her arms and carried her off.
Everyone looked on in shock, not knowing what to do. “Come on let’s clean this place up,” Dawn said. Everyone nodded and started to silently clean.
