Blood is Thicker Than Evil: The Power of Three
by Tennyo
Prue poured a little water into the bubbling pot. BANG! Waving her hand to clear the smoke she said, “They’re done. They just need to and then we can mix them.” She sat the pots on the counter. After they cooled she mixed a little of each into two glasses.
Angel came through the door. “That’s one demon dead and 500 billion to go,” he said, “How’s the potion coming?”
Prue handed one glass to Cole and took the other for herself. “It’s ready,” she said as she and Cole downed the contents of each glass. As she finished swallowing Prue began to chanting, her voice getting stronger with each verse as the power grew.
“Prudence, Penelope, Patricia,
Melinda,
Prue, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige,
Astrid, Abigail, Lauren, and
Grace.
Warren Witches, stand strong
Beside me!
Vanquish this evil,
From time and space!
Warren Witches, stand strong
Beside me!
Vanquish this evil,
From time and space!
Warren Witches, stand strong
Beside me!
Vanquish this evil,
From time and space!”
As the last word was spoken both she and Cole collapsed to the ground, blue flames surrounding them. As Doyle started toward Prue the flames disappeared and she fell into his waiting arms. “Did it work?” he asked raising her face to look into her eyes.
“I think so,” said Cole, “I can’t sense him anymore. Prue?”
“I can’t feel him anymore either,” she replied.
“The Source is dead,” said Cole, “for good.” He held out his hand to his daughter.
As Prue took his hand she flinched as a vision pulled her under. In a flash she saw everything.
{Angel, Doyle, and her battling a demon, a concussion blast coming at her. Her father diving at her, knocking her out of the way, taking the blast full in the chest. Her crying cradling his dead body while the demon laughed.}
The vision blurred and the world came back into tear filled focus. Cole and Doyle were looking at her with worry in their eyes. “You had a vision didn’t you?” asked Cole, “What did you see?”
“A demon attacking us,” she replied, “You taking a concussion blast for me, to save me, me cradling you dead body while he laughed.”
“What demon was it?” Angel asked.
“Shax,” Prue said looking at her father.
“It couldn’t be,” said Cole, “your mother and her sisters killed him for killing your aunt Prue. He was Paige’s first kill.”
“Do you remember the vanquish spell?” Prue asked him.
Cole closed his eyes and lost himself in memory:
“Spirits of Forest and
Spirits of Sea,
Set us of this demon free.
Beast of Hoof and
Beast of Shell,
Drive this evil
Back to Hell.”
He recited.
Prue wrote it down. “Now we just have to wait for him to attack.”
