Buffy from 2001

Buffy’s head snapped up as she looked toward the corner to see a girl with curly brown hair staring at her. “Who are you?” she asked.

“I’m a potential from your time I believe.”

“A potential slayer?” Buffy asked.

“No, a potential football player. Duh. Of course I am.” The girl was wearing a black cami and dark colored jeans. On her neck Buffy could see blood and make out two puncture wounds. She also wore a necklace that had the letter M on its chain.

“You’re Mandy Garrison. You’re the girl who went missing.”

“Yep. I’m the girl those watchers are going on about. And so is Lindsey only she didn’t know she was a potential yet. Before any watcher could get to her she was taken here. There are others though. Your past is here and a girl from your future soon your future will be here as well.”

Buffy raised her eyebrows and the other girl rolled her eyes. “Your past self is here and your future will be here. And a girl from your future is here. Get it?” Buffy nodded.

“Geez took you long enough. Ok now. I’m a vampire.” Mandy then flashed her fangs. “The people who run this want to have a vampire slayer vampire in the mix…I wasn’t good enough. So what do you say?”

“I say…. no!” Buffy said and launched a kick to the vampire’s stomach. The girl fell down and Buffy, remembering she still had a stake in her pocket got it out and slammed it into the girl’s heart. Just then another portal opened up and then blackness again.

Buffy 2004-2005?

It felt great to dance again, even if she was dancing with the Immortal. Buffy knew a million and one things were happening but she felt so carefree and so-she got a tingly feeling and she smiled. She was about to turn around when the immortal grabbed her. “Let’s go shall we?”

“Why? We just got here.” She asked.

“We can go back and grab a bite to eat.” He told her and she shrugged and followed him out the door.

So they went to eat. It was a nice little restaurant that had good pasta. The Immortal talked about how he loved Rome and all about how much progress he thought the slayers were making.

Then they went back home to the palazzo where Buffy fell asleep. She was dreaming of Spike and Angel together, and a game, something with kidnappings. A weird sense of foreboding came over her and she knew she was having a dream that was part of the slayer package. “Oh great.” She said as she saw a portal in her dream and then she woke up, and saw the same portal. Then she was being sucked through. I really hate portals she thought before blackness took over.

Angel and Spike 2004-2005

The silence in Angel’s office was actually quite uncomfortable. Gunn has come in twice to check on the vampires and when he asked what happened he received a grunt from them both.

“So that’s it, huh?” Lorne said, as he came in shaking his head. “You know you two would be perfect for roles in a television series!”

Both Angel and Spike gave him a look that made him laugh. “I’m serious. Two vampires with a soul after a slayer! Ha! What ratings!”

“Lorne?” Angel said.

“Yes?”

“Shut-up.” Spike finished for Angel.

Lorne shook his head sympathetically and sat himself in a chair. “What happened? The Lady in filing is begging me to find out.”

Angel shook his head and Spike shrugged. “Andrew told us she’s moved on.” Spike muttered.

“Huh.” Lorne said. “Well at least she’s not in danger right?”

Spike and Angel shrugged and Lorne laughed. “Wow, okay. So how bad is he? This Immortal?”

Spike grunted and Angel muttered something along the lines of, my girl, Strata and freaken Rome.

“Alright well you two should, I don’t know, maybe move on too? Or was that the worst possible thing I could say to vampires right now?”

Angel shrugged and Spike muttered something. Lorne nodded. “You have to tell me the whole story some day. I mean if this isn’t a TV. Series then I’m thinking a book. How important can this girl be to you? I mean I’m sensing some real energy from the two of you so I’m going to go. Bye.” And with that he left. Spike got up and shrugged. He turned to Angel.

“Want to get drunk?” Spike asked and Angel shook his and got up and went to the phone.

Buffy 2004-2005

Being wakened up in the middle of the night wasn’t the greatest thing in the world but waking up because you are about to be sucked into a portal isn’t fun either.

Buffy felt herself hit the ground and then she let herself roll. She stopped when she hit the wall.

“Whoa.” Said a voice behind her. She sat up and turned around when a familiar voice asked if she was okay.

“I’ll be fine.” She replied back. She rubbed her eyes they hadn’t adjusted yet. As her eyes started to adjust she noticed that they were in a small room.To one side of the room there were chains. To the other side there was just wall and in front of her she noticed three figures. She moved closer. There was a girl with blonde hair, a girl with brunette hair and another with blonde hair. She didn’t really see their faces but she could see there hair colors and there tattered clothes.

“Do you know where you are? The brunette asked. She was wearing a TV. Her Shirt and jeans and her jeans were torn and dirty.

“Umm…a room?” Buffy answered.

“Well, yeah obviously.”

“You sure you’re okay?” the blonde who had asked before asked again.

“Yeah thanks.”

“What’s your name?” the blonde who had been quiet asked.

Before Buffy could answer though, the brunette asked quickly. “Are you a slayer?”

Buffy hesitated before answering. Where was she? Should she really answer? Was this the Immortal’s doing? She answered though, ignoring her paranoia. Maybe if she said something these girls would tell what they knew. Maybe they were slayers. “Yeah.” She answered. She shifted her weight and yawned. When she recovered she found that she could finally see the girls faces. When she saw the blonde’s face she sucked in a breath.

“Oh my God.”

Willow 2004-2005

Willow sat down in her bedroom, between working on everything for Xander and helping with spells she was tired but she wouldn’t admit it. She rubbed her eyes and got up and went to the computer and went on the net. If she couldn’t get anything there she’d call the coven, maybe they knew something. She pressed ENTER on the keyboard and waited as it loaded. Nothing. She sighed this was just another one of those times she wished she were in the library. Well that would require being in Sunnydale and-no more thoughts of that! You’re in Rome not in Sunnydale stay focused. She was just about to call the coven when there was a knock on her door.

“Yeah?”

Belle ran in. “Umm…sorry I know its early but Buffy’s not answering her phone or the knocks on her door.”

“What do you mean?”

“It’s like she’s not there…do you think she’s ill?” Belle asked.

“Umm, maybe. Let me go see.”

Willow walked down the hall to where Dawn was waiting.

“Buffy’s not there?” Dawn asked Belle and she nodded.

Willow knocked on the door. “Buffy?” No answer.

Dawn knocked. “Buffy?”

Willow and Dawn exchanged glances. “There is only one way to get her out if she’s in there.” Dawn said and then said. “Buffy you know those knew boots you got. I wore them shopping and accidentally got mud on them.” She smiled. “That’ll get her out. She may pretend not to like all the stuff she gets but actually she adores it,”

They waited a couple of minutes and when no one answered Dawn’s brow furrowed and she sighed. “Okay this is not good.”

“Do you think she’s in there?” Belle asked.

Dawn turned the handle on the door and watched, as it swung open. Willow stepped in. “Buffy?”

After her, Dawn and Belle stepped in. What they saw, instead of what was expected a grouchy slayer, was the bed with the sheets all rumpled but everything else in the room was quite content.

About an hour later, with Giles on the phone. Everyone, including the Immortal and everyone else, had assembled in a room that looked like the place where the Immortal would hold his meetings.

“Are you aware that Buffy is missing?” Giles said into the phone. He was mad. Willow couldn’t blame him she was too, but mostly with herself. She should have seen this coming. She should have known that the Immortal was evil. She just hoped that he wasn’t that evil and Buffy was ok.

“I am aware of that Mr. Giles and I assure you that we are doing all we can to help find her.” The Immortal said rubbing his chin.

“Then try harder!” Said Dawn who was sitting with her arms crossed right next to Willow.

“I am truly sorry Dawn. I should have been more careful.” The Immortal said giving her a sad look.

“What do you mean?” Dawn asked him

“Well-.” He stopped and grabbed his cell phone and looked up at everyone. “Excuse me, I must take this call.” With that he got up and walked toward the door.

Dawn leaned toward Willow. “Who could that be? All the important people are here.”

Willow, who was closer to the door heard bits and pieces of the conversation. “Are you sure? Yes. Yes I heard they don’t know anything. Do they? Good then that should be easy.” With that the Immortal sighed and continued to speak. “Yes well I am neutral, I don’t always pick a side. But this is different.” A pause. “I don’t know if I can. I did it to the boy but-. Yes. Ok. Ciao.”

Willow sat straighter in her seat and tried to figure out what he was saying. “I’m sorry.” The Immortal said sitting down in his seat. “Where were we?”

“Buffy.” Dawn said.

“Oh yes. Well I was going to say-.” He paused as he looked around the room. “I was going to say that well we had visitors in Rome. And I am afraid that they might be the ones responsible for Buffy’s disappearance.”

“Who?” Giles asked.

“Well this may come as a shock to you. I mean I didn’t want to tell you. I don’t even know your history with them but I feel its best to keep them away from you and Buffy. Especially Buffy but I am-.” Giles, who made a sound as if to clear his throat and then he said, stopped the Immortal. “Who.”

“I believe you know them as Angel and Spike.”
