Buffy season 8 : episode 1

Caithlin


After the battle was over and The First was destroyed the gang got on the bus,
they first went to the nearest hospital to take care of the wounded.
"What are we going to do now, Buffy ?" Dawn asked as Buffy was just looking around.
"Live, we're going to live. All over new slayers are awakening. I'm not alone anymore. We
can finally live our lives." Buffy said as she was smiling.
She felt a joy that she had never felt before. She knew that she wasn't alone anymore,
and that made her so happy, so happy that she couldn't stop smiling.
"How will we find all those slayers ?" Faith asked after joining Buffy and Dawn.
"We'll find them, I know we will, and we're going to start right now."Buffy said, and she turned
around to Faith & Dawn, and she had this look in her eyes, this look that everything was gonna
be okay.
"Right now ?" Faith and Dawn both asked.
"Can't we sleep first ?" Faith asked, while looking very tired.
Dawn, Faith and all the others that were just standing around looked very tired.
Buffy looked at Faith and Dawn looking very tired back at Buffy.
"We'll sleep first, and we'll look for them starting tomorow, how does that sound ?"
"Like music in my ears." Faith said and Dawn and Buffy looked strange at her, it was not like
Faith to say something like that.
Faith looked at the others, they were just talking and smiling because they had won.
Than Faith looked back at Buffy and Dawn, who were still looking a bit funny at Faith.
"Not that I have music in my ears, I...I...Bye." And she ran off.

The next morning :

Willow is still sleeping when there is a knock on the door.
"Buffy, hi, what's wrong ?" Willow asked after she opend the door.
Her hotel room was dark, and their were candles everywhere.
Just like Willow's room back home.
"No nothing's wrong, should there be something wrong ?" Buffy asked.
"No, no, absolutely not, nothing wrong, come in."
"Isn't Kennedy still asleep ?" Buffy asked before entering the room.
She looked around to see where Kennedy was.
"She's on breakfast duty." Willow said.
"You sent her on breakfast duty ???" Buffy asked suprised.
"No, she left a note saying she went to go get breakfast, I read it when you woke me up."
"I woke you up ? Oh, Will. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Buffy said with a
little guilt in her voice.
"Oh, Buffy, don't feel guilty, I wanted to get up at (looks at her watch) seven o'clock anyway. It's
not like I haven't slept enough, I've slept for six hours today, and usualy I only sleep for three
hours." She said with a little smile on her face.
They both had to laugh a bit, just some energie that they needed to lose, after winning the battle.
Buffy and Willow sat down, and Willow was eager to know what Buffy wanted to talk about.
"I wanna know how to find them, the slayers. Now" Buffy said.
"What, now ? As in right now ?" Willow said after looking at a very serious Buffy.
"Yes now, Willow, these girls have no idea what happened to them, they could really be freaking
out, and we don't want that."

In the mean time Faith goes to visit Wood.
She was a little afraid that he wouldn't make it after being stabbed.
But after a few hours of waiting, the doctors said that he was out of the woods.
She slept in the hospital for the whole night, now she can at last visit him.
The room he's in is completely white. It's like, if their wouldn't be anything on the walls, you
could just go blind bye looking at white for a whole day. Thank god that the last patient left his
J. Lo. poster on the wall.
"Hi." she said quietly.
"Hi. How's it going ?" he said while coughing.
"I'm good, better than you are right now."
"I'll be fine, will you just sit with me for a while ? I know you should do more important stuff.
But I could really use the company." he said.
"It's cool, I'll stay. You're my important thing now."
And they both smiled at each other.

Meanwhile Buffy and Willow are doing a spell to find slayers close to their area.
She get's a few ingredients out of her back, forms a circle with them and Buffy, and begins the
spell.
Willow is speaking latin words and her eyes arn't turning black, they are turning white.
Suddenly she stops talking and looks into Buffy's eyes.
Buffy looks drugged, and after a few minutes Kennedy walks into the room and Buffy and Willow
are back to normal. They look a bit confused, and they're just staring at each other.
"Willow, what happend ?" Kennedy asked worried.
"Some are here, not many, but there are a few." Willow said, while she was still staring at Buffy.
"And I know where some of them are, and we have to move quick, some of them are scared." Buffy
answered.
"What ? Who's scared ? What few ? What the hell are you talking about ?" Kennedy asked
confused.
While Willow explained everything to Kennedy, Buffy went to get Giles, Dawn, Xander and
Faith, cause she would need them to find the slayers in time, especially that one slayer,
the one who's scared and all alone, they have to find her right away!

"Oké, Dawn, Xander and you stay here. Search old newspapers for missing girls. I have the feeling
that this girl has nobody, and she's slipping. If we don't find her soon, we may never find her."
Buffy said very serious.
"What do Willow and I do ?" Kennedy asked.
"You have to help Willow, she's going to do more spells." Buffy said.
"More spells ? To find more potentials... I mean slayers ?"
Kennedy had a little trouble with remembering that they are all slayers now, and no longer
potentials.
"No, to find this slayer, this one slayer."
"All this trouble for one girl ? She could be dead already." Kennedy said.
"She's not dead, I would know if she was. And she's not just a girl, she's much more than that.
We all are." Buffy said and she walked out of the room.
Faith and Giles just stood there. Faith was chekking her watch for how long it was gonna be
till Buffy came back. Giles just sat down.
A few minutes later Buffy came back.
"Oh, I forgot, Faith, you go with me, Giles, you stay here."
Giles stood up.
"What ? Can't I do anything ? Am I like to old to help now ?" Giles said while everyone left.
He stayed there for a few minutes and then he went to help Xander & Dawn.

A few hours later we see a young girl walking around the streets. Her clothes are all torn.
She looks like she hasn't taken a bath for months, she's coverd with dirt.
She hais long black hair. A very thin body. And a round face. With blue eyes.
She looks desperate and so sad. Her name is Caithlin. That's all
that anyone knows about her. She doesn't seem to have a last name, or any family.
She's always alone. And a few days ago she suddenly became strong, very strong.
Like superwoman strong. She's the one, she's the one Buffy's looking for.

Xander and Dawn are still looking for the girl in old newspapers.
The library they're in smells like very very old books, Giles is loving it.
But without any info. on how the girl looks like, it's gonna be very hard to find her.

Meanwhile Wood is still in the hospital. And faith is worried, so she gives him a call.
Wood promises that he is great, and that she doesn't have to worry if he doesn't.
Buffy jokes about Faith being inlove.
"You know what they say, first their are the worried calls, then their is the sex, well, I gues that
already happend, and then, then there's the wedding. Pam pam pampam tata tata..." Buffy said
while laughing.
"Haha, very funny. I don't know B. , I like him, I do. But I don't know if he's just in it for the
thrill or if he's in it for something else." Faith said a little confused.
"You don't know if he loves you as much as you love him." Buffy said while looking at Faith.
"I...I don't Love.." Faith was saying but she got interrupted by Buffy.
"He does... he does love you, don't be afraid to say that you love him too. He's waiting for you to
make the first move. The ball's in your hands."
Faith had a happy face she never ever had before. She was in love.

While Xander, Dawn & Giles are still looking, Kennedy & Willow just finished their spell.
The white light that was in the room disappeared.
And now they know what she looks like. But they still don't now who or where she is.
But Buffy can feel her energie, she's close, so now they know what she lookes like, it's gonna
be easy to know who she is. But getting to her will be more difficult.
Buffy knows that, she knows almost everything this girl is feeling.
Her pain, her anger, her sadness. It's heartbreaking.


10 minutes later :

Buffy and Faith see a girl with black hair, and torn clothes. It's her, they've been looking for her.
"Faith, stay here. I'm gonna go to her alone."
"But B. , she could be dangerous."
"No, she isn't. And if you go to her, you're gonna scare her."
"Why ? Do I look like the big bad boogyman?!" Faith said and she laughed a bit.
"Actualy, yeah, for her you do."
"And you know this how ?" Faith asked confused.
"I just do, Now stay here!" And she walked towards the girl.

The girl sees Buffy coming, but she doesn't try to run. She wait's for Buffy.
Deep down she knows Buffy wants to help.

Buffy gets to the girl, behind them their is an old man sleeping, he smells really bad, and he
doesn't have any shoes. Buffy can feel that the girl is worried about the old man, so Buffy
gives him some money to buy some shoes. And the girl is glad now.
"Hi, my name is Buffy. What's yours ?" Buffy asked very sweet.
"Caithlin. I am, am I ? Am I Caithlin ? I am, arn't I ?"
"Yeah, I think you are Caithlin. And you're scared. So scared. I can feel all your pain. And
it hurts me inside." Buffy said while almost crying.
She never felt something like this in her life. It was beyond pain. It was pure horror.
"Hurt, hurt, what is hurt but just a word ?" Caithlin said.
"I can help you, you can come home now, you don't have to be scared anymore."
"Home...home..." she said.
"All alone
Not close to home
Is their a home for me ?
Is their a home I can be ?" Caithlin said.
"All alone.
Not close to home
Is their a home for me ?
Is their a home I can be ?" She said again and again, faster and faster, till Buffy grabbed
her hand. The old man looked up, and he smiled at Buffy. He knew that this wasn't a place for
Caithlin. He could tell that she was above it. He was glad that Buffy helped her.

Just seconds after Buffy grabbed her hand, a vampire atacked. Buffy wanted to push Caithlin
out of the way, but Caithlin was faster than Buffy, and she fought with the vampire.
She gave him a hard blow to the head, and he threw her in the ground.
Buffy wanted to help, but Caithlin stood up, and she dusted the vamp. as he was trying to
atack the old man. Caithlin smiled at him, and he smiled back. She saved his life.

They went back to the hotel, at first, Caithlin was scared of Faith. But Faith was very sweet,
so she isn't scared of her anymore. The rest of the gang were very easy around her, they didn't
want to scare her, so they stayed out of her way.
But they still have to know what Caithlin's last name is.
So Willow did another spell. Caithlin was a bit scared of the white lights that where in the room,
but Buffy comforted her.
They found out that Caithlin's last name is Parks.
Her parents died in a fire 3 years back, that a woman that looks a bit like Faith, started.
The woman wanted to kill Caithlin, because she had an obsession with Caithlin.
And if she couldn't have her, nobody could. So she burned the house down.
Caithlin could escape, but for her parents it was to late.
The police never listed Caithlin as missing, because they thought she died in the fire.
The woman that started the fire is in prison now. So Caithlin has got nothing to be scared of
anymore. She knows she is a slayer, and she wants to train with buffy. Buffy wants that too.

A few minutes later Faith got a call from one of the girls at the hospital.
Faith looks like she has seen a ghost and the rest of the gang are looking at Faith who is starting
to cry, they have no idea what's happening.
"Faith ? What is it ?" Dawn asked.
"It's wood. He had a heart attack." Faith said and she started crying some more.
