seeking comfort: time to prepare.

Not a character here belongs to me, well besides Star. But they are all from the wonderful mind of Joss. I’m sorry I didn’t get another chapter out sooner but I just started driver’s Ed and got over a huge writer’s block. Hope you all enjoy!!
Big Huge Special thanks go to MissEdith, Shay, and littlewiccan. I love you all, you’re so great! You make me warm and tingly on the inside.
I also got my temps today so it won’t take me so long to finish my story now!!!
Buffy went to sleep that night with happiness in her heart and mind. She had a place to go where she wasn’t treated like complete garbage, she was healing, and she was going to be living with Spike. Okay. Now all she had to do was figure out what to do with the house and all her stuff. Where was she going to put it? Spike’s house was nice, but it wasn’t exactly made for two people. One being a girl with lot’s of stuff.
“Spike?” She whispered. He was out cold on his bed, lying right next to her and holding her hand.
‘He really is a great looking guy. It’s so nice that he’s willing to take me in even though I didn’t tell him the truth. Oh and there is that little thing where we haven’t held a conversation alone until before all this mess happened.’
Buffy started to think about what all she had to do when she got out of the hospital. Mostly about getting away from her house, the place where all bad memories are from. ‘I can’t believe my mom hasn’t come back to see me yet. Why would she just up and leave without at least finding out if I was okay?’
Buffy was positively furious now thinking about her mother. ‘She brought me into the world, yet she doesn’t even care if I am okay?’ “Her husband did this to me.” She said aloud.
There was a knock on her hospital door and her head snapped up to see a beautiful, but plainly shy red head entering her room.
“Hi Buffy. How are you feeling today? Oh I brought you a doughnut and all the homework you have missed so far…”
At this Buffy began to giggle hysterically. “Thank you Wil. Wouldn’t want to get behind now, would I?” she asked, obviously teasing the mousy girl who stood at the front of her bed.
“…has been completed and turned in. raising your grade to an A-.” Willow finished with a little smirk. “But if you really want it, I’m sure I could dig up the pages for you.”
Buffy had a glazed over look on her face. “Did you just say you did all my homework and brought me a doughnut? Your like the best friend a chick could ever have!!! Willow, I love you.”
Buffy’s jaw was healing very quickly so she decided to chance ripping off a corner of her doughnut and popped it in her mouth. Willow had come to sit next to Buffy, and watched her. Buffy seemed like a child who had just gotten a puppy for Christmas, instead of a girl who was almost put in traction from a family member. Spike sat up and rubbed his eyes. The blanket slipped off his body to reveal his bare chest. Every muscle was chiseled and perfect.
“Mornin’ Red. What’s going on in the real Sunny-D?” he said to Willow. Red was his nickname for her because of her beautiful red hair. It also was good for this moment because her face was quickly trying to take up the hue of her hair.
“Uh… um well,” she turned her head to look at Buffy. If she wasn’t looking at Buffy, she would never finish her sentence. “Everybody misses you. And umm wants you to get better.” She was now eyeing Buffy’s visible skin and looking at her bruises. She had to admit that she was doing remarkable.
“Oh, well, tell them I miss them too, but I will be back to school on Monday.” Buffy replied reaching for the other half of her douhgnut. She didn’t want to be in the hospital too much longer because she wanted to live with Spike and have him take care of her.
“Where are you going to go when you get out? I know your dad’s not back yet but I wouldn’t automatically want to go back again if I was you.”
“She’s gunna live with me Red.” Spike said, finally interjecting in their conversation. And getting the desired affect of his words. Willows mouth dropped faster than should be allowed. She turned to Buffy so fast she was surprised she didn’t give herself whip-lash.
Buffy knew she was going to have a hard time explaining this to her friends, but Spike was part of the group, and she hoped that they’d understand. Why wouldn’t they? The only thing Willow was having a hard time with was that before now Spike didn’t really show affection or love or even, until then end, care about anyone or anything.
“Well that’s good. Um because yes that’s good.” She said trying to sound convincing and failing miserably. “then I think I will, um inform the rest about your soon to be living conditions. Do you want us to start packing up your stuff?”
Buffy had been thinking about how she was going to orchestrate this. It was great that Willow was willing to help but she didn’t know what she wanted to take and what she could leave at home so there was no was willow could help.
“Uh, no. I don’t even know what I want and can bring. I’ll have to go get it myself. When I get out of the hospital.” Buffy sighed as she thought about all the work she was going to have to do when she got out.
“Well you can go with, but I am going to do all the packing and carrying. Got it?” Willow said after a moment of thought.
Buffy smiled and looked from Willow to Spike and back to Willow.
