Darkness quickly spears the light
Bringing with it artificial life
All on parade-give them what they want
Society demands-her will is broken
Who could withstand the fight?
Just hold it in-it will be over soon
Questions slowly answered as she ceases to fight
When will she see?
When will she finally know?
Happiness is just a theory-no reason to struggle
One last time to try and feel-to feel alright
She saw-saw as she gave in
It haunted her beneath closed eyes
Forced her to realize
We are all living on borrowed life
Borrowed time, borrowed joy
Nothing is our own-our souls are corrupted
It's all over, no time left
And as she fades the devil laughs
She's found life in death
