Wolverines Bite Back: Afterword

There are a lot of things a BtVS fan might not know about the Marvel Comics Universe, hence the prologue to familiarize one with it. In it, most countries have superhero teams sanctioned by the government- Alpha Flight for Canada, The Avengers for the U.S. (Now the U.N.) Along the way, several X-Men have joined the Avengers and left at one time or another.

The X-Men is a school for mutants founded by Charles Xavier (The Charlie in Wolverine's Journal), the most powerful mutant telepath known. Mutant in the story means the offspring of two normal people (or flatscans) have a child that somehow gains an X-gene, and that gives them a super power and/or change in appearance. When recruited for the school on a purely voluntary basis, the mutant is trained to utilize their ability and defend humanity against all dangers. They tend to think of their fellow students as a family, hence Wolverine seeing Jean (An founding, red-headed member of the X-men) as that of senior relative.

Wolverine's and Sabretooth's superiority to the Slayer... I judged this on the basis that Wolverine defeated Lobo in the Marvel/DC comics crossover published. Lobo has successfully flat-lined Superman. I don't think Buffy is quite on that level.

As for the theme, the author allows the reader to decide.
