No More: Part 6

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and all related characters are property of Joss and Mutant Enemy. Shelly and Karos are mine though. I don't make or seek any money for this story. It's just for fun.

Bronze ambush
“Well, I’ve had enough of this place.” Shelly said as if she was above the Bronze. “Is this all you have here in Sunnydale?”
“Weeeeeee have a Starbucks” Xander offered.
Shelly sighed. “I miss Maryland.”
“Tell you what, Shelly. We’ll just move the hellmouth and all the little vampires and demons it attracts to Maryland. That way you can be the vampire slayer there, and we can live normal lives here.” Xander said, back in full Xander mode.
“Everybody wins.” Willow said in her small happy voice.
Shelly didn’t have a response. She just rolled her eyes and looked away.
“Yeah, we better get going.” Oz said, his arm wrapped around Willow. “Willow and I have some studying to catch up on.”
“Yeah, studying....to catch up...on.” Willow added smiling as she leaned her head on Oz’s shoulder.
“We should call it a night. Giles is going to want to start your Saturday morning workouts tomarrow Shelly. You should get some sleep.” Buffy advised Shelly.
“Did you hear that? The almighty former slayer has spoken. Thankyou SOmuch for the advice.” Shelly sarcastically replied.
Buffy rolled her eyes, annoyed. The group walked out of the Bronze and down the street where they would all try to squeeze into Willows car. They didn’t quite make it to the car. A group of vampires jumped them. Three Vampires moved Willow, Oz, Xander, and Shelly back, while another two grabbed Buffy and drug her off into the shadows.
The three vampires pushed, and hit the group to the ground. One of them stood over Willow and growled. “Tonight, we eat well!” He said. Shelly tried to get up off her feet. The vampires had taken her by surprise and she struggled to regain her balance. A vampire kicked her back down to the ground. She struggled to regain her composure to. She hadn’t faced this many vampires who were this strong yet. Xander tried to get up also. He was sat down too. A vampire went for his throat and even though Xander caught its face, it was all he could do to hold it back. Oz jumped up and knocked the vampire off of Xander granting him a stay of execution. Oz got back handed across his jaw for his troubles. Willow struggled for her cross she kept with her as the vampire bent down for the feed. The Third vampire was trying to sink his fangs into Shelly, but She managed to hold it back with one hand while she retrieved a stake that was tucked in the back of shirt. She ran the stake through the vampires heart and it exploded into ashes. Oz and Xander both struggled with the biggest vampire, but Shelly came up and dusted it too. Willow managed to pull her cross, driving the vampire off of her. Shelly threw her stake with amazing accuracy and strength. The last vampire bit the dust.
“Ambush.” Oz calmly stated.
“Not bad rookie.” Xander complemented Shelly, then looked around worried as he realized a member of their group was missing. “Where’s Buffy? They got Buffy!”
Buffy struggled against the two vampires who held her, presenting her to Spike and Karos. Normally she would easily tear herself away, but the strength and agility that came along with being a slayer was long gone.
“Well well.” Spike said. “Look who’s back in town. The little slayer.” Buffy continued to squirm but it was useless. Fear, fear that she hadn’t felt in a long time began to rise from her stomach. “Do you want the do the honors Karos?”
Buffys’ eyes darted toward the big statured black clad vampire who held a vile of blue liquid in his hands. He pours it over the top of her head. “What is that? What are you doing to me?” Buffy tried to demand an answer with authority.
“It’s a special mix.” It answered, lifting her chin up with its index finger. “You should feel your powers draining away from you as we speak.” Buffy tried to think clearly. It must have been something that was supposed to take her slaying powers away, but she didn’t have them anymore to begin with. That fact didn’t help her out any. The vampire in black gave her a distinguished smile. “This is for my Sire, Lothos.” It back handed her across her face, sending Buffy across the room. She struggled to lift herself up, but she felt as though she had just been hit by a freight train. She used to be able to take as much punishment as she could dish out, but now,... well.
Spike grabbed her by the back of her shirt and lifted her up. Buffy pushed against him but he just looked at her with the amused smile he had been wearing the moment those vampires had dragged her in here. “Very well then. I have a few scores to settle with our little slayer also.” Buffys’ eyes widened as Spike pulled his fist back.
