A Trip to Hogwarts: Visionary Problem

by littlewiccan

Sorry I haven’t updated in awhile but I’ve been busy and since I hadn’t gotten that many reviews I thought people had lost interest and therefore focused my time and energies else where.

Angel and Cordelia walked side by side down the streets of Diagon Alley. Both of them laden with packages for the various shops they had visited.

“So Angel why don’t you tell me a little bit about yourself?” Cordelia said.

She liked him a lot; it was rare that she could meet a guy and be totally up front about her demon side with out him thinking she needed to be institutionalized. She had had a wonderful relationship with Doyle; he was a ½ demon too but he was gone now; killed on one of their missions. Cordelia’s heart ached when she thought about him; her first true love but that was a long time ago and she had moved on. This was the first time since Doyle’s death that she had actually felt something for someone. She could tell Angel was special; not to mention the fact that he was a total hottie didn’t hurt.

“There’s not much to tell.”

“Oh come on your like a couple hundred years old. You’ve got to have some interesting stories. Besides old people generally love to talk; my Grandmother is 85 and we can’t shut her up.”

“You think I’m old?”

“No, I just meant that….What I meant to say was….well you don’t look…”

“Hey Cordy, Hi Angel,” Fred said as she walked over with Wesley.

“Thank god,” Cordy muttered under her breath, “Hey Fred. Wes.”

“Hello,” Wesley replied.

“Hi,” Angel answered.

“Fred and I were just off to go grab some lunch. Would you two like to join us?” Wesley asked.

“Yeah, that sounds great I’m starving,” Cordelia answered.

“Yeah, me too. Do you think they sell tacos here?” Fred asked.

“Probably not,” Wesley answered.

“Yeah, well we can get something else. Angel, are you coming?” Fred asked.

“I don’t really eat human food. Vampire, remember; but I’ll…..”

“Ahhhhhhh!” Cordelia exclaimed as she began to fall, dropping the packages as Angel caught her.

“What’s wrong is she okay?” Fred asked worried.

Cordelia’s vision:

It’s blurry and hard to make out. The shopkeeper of the magic bullet is dead and he’s being tied onto a post that is high up. It overlooks a fountain. There’s a burn on his chest but the shape is hard to make out. Its looks like it might be a diamond.

That’s when she blacked out.

Fifteen minutes later:

“Cordelia? Cordelia? Are you okay? Can you hear me?” Angel asked as he held Cordelia. She was leaning on him as they both sat on the floor on the side of the road. Fred and Wesley stood around them wearing looks of concern on their faces. She began to stir and she looked as she was waking up.

“Cordy, are you okay?” Fred asked as she kneeled beside her.

“Yeah, I’m fine but the shopkeeper he’s in trouble.”

“What?” Angel said.

“The shopkeeper in that store we were just in. He’s in trouble. I had a vision.”

“A vision? I thought your visions didn’t harm you?” Wesley said.

“They don’t. The Powers That Be must have thought this was extra important; wanted to make sure I was paying attention. We need to help him.”

“Cordy? Was the shopkeeper a short, little guy?” Fred asked as she looked off down the street in horror.

“Yeah….why?” Cordy asked as she stood up.

“Cuz I think I found him,” Fred said pointing to the man tied up on the pole in the distance above the water fountain, where are crowd was gathering.

“Oh god…..it’s just like in my vision,” she said as they rushed down the street towards the crowd.

Ron, Heromine, Dawn, Harry, and Connor all sat together around a small table in the Leaky Cauldron, sipping hot chocolate and chatting excitedly.

“So what’s the deal wit these houses and sorting and stuff?” Connor asked.

“Oh well there are 4 house: Ravenclaw, Hulffpuff, Gryffindor, and Slytherin and at the beginning of each term all the first years are sorted by the sorting hat,” Heromine stated.

“How does it know which house to put you in?” Dawn asked.

“Don’t know. It just sort of does,” Ron answered shrugging his shoulders.

“Each house has distinct characteristics and I suppose that’s how it determines who goes where?” Heromine said, “Gryffindors are brave, Ravenclaws are wise, Hulffpuffs are just and loyal, and Sytherins are…”

“A bunch of bloody whelps,” Ron interrupted, causing Harry, Connor, and Dawn to laugh.

“I was going to say cunning,” Heromine said.

“Yeah, but you know its true,” Ron said.

“Yeah, I know,” Heromine laughed.

“Well, one things for sure Dawn definitely not going to be in Ravenclaw,” Connor said jokingly.

“Hey!” Dawn said as she slapped him and they all laughed oblivious to what was going on by the fountain in Diagon Alley.

Xander was in his room trying to fit everything he bought today into his already crammed trunk, when Anya walked into the room.

“You know it’s usually customary for people to knock before they enter a room,” Xander said as he finally shut his trunk.

Then without saying anything Anya went up to him, took his face in her hands and kissed him. Xander’s eyes widened as he pulled away.

“Wow! You really don’t take no for an answer,” he said.

“Listen, I like you. You’re nice and you’re funny. Not to mention nicely shaped and…”

“Anya, you’re a really nice girl and I like you. I even admire you directness but we barely know each other.”

Anya ignored him kissing him again this time more passionately. Finally when they came
up for air she said, “Please remove your clothes now.”

Xander just smiled, “Yet still somehow romantic and endearing,” he said as he kissed her again and they fell on to the bed together.
