One Last Battle: Reunion

Angel was hidden on a large boat, which was traveling to Italy. He was going to see Buffy again for the first time in 2 years. Naturally, he was a little nervous. The boat would be arriving in Italy tomorrow, and he at Buffy's place. Even though they had broken up 6 years ago, part of him would always love her. The way part of him would always love Cordelia. Seeing her again like that after all this time, especially when her death was caused by her involvement with him. He never forgave himself for getting the woman he loved killed. As the boat began to dock, he realized he was mere minutes away from seeing the other woman he loved. He walked down the streets of Rome and stopped outside of Buffy's house. He knocked loudly. The door opened with a creek. Dawn opened the door. "Angel?" she asked. "Yeah," he said. "It's me. I'm looking for Buffy." "Of course you are," Dawn said. "Come in." Angel stepped inside and looked around. "So, where's Buffy?" Angel asked. "Out," Dawn said simply. "Oh," Angel said. "Any idea when she'll be back?" "Very shortly," Dawn said. Angel sat down and waited for Buffy to return. About an hour later, he heard a voice from the door. "Dawn?" the voice said. It was Buffy. Angel stood up. Buffy came into the room and spotted Angel. She looked completely and utterly surprised to see him there. "Angel?" she asked softly.
