“I love you” Buffy said! Spike stood shocked and bewildered thinking of what to say. “No you don’t but thanks for saying it” he decided to say something cocky like he did the first time they met. A rock fell causing Buffy to let go of his hand! “Now go” he yelled. She took one last look at him and headed up the stairs. “I want to see how it ends” he exclaimed. He started to laugh thinking to himself this is the day she finally admits it. Just when he thought it was all over time froze. Everything stopped in mid play. Rocks were in the middle of the air and there was no movement anywhere until a man appeared in front of him. “Who are you” Spike asked? “I am god” the man answered. Spike just stared in disbelief! The man who claimed he was God then put his hand on Spikes shoulder and said, “I am here to grant you three wishes”. “What” Spike asked? He was sure that if his heart could beat he would have had a heart attack! “So what’ll it be?” God asked rubbing his hands together. “Uhh mate umm so anything I wish for you will grant.” Spikes thoughts immediately went to Buffy. He could finally give her what she really wanted! “Okay then lets have a go,” he said to God. “Shoot” God said. “Wish number one” Spike said holding up his index finger. “I wish I were human,” he stated. God then motioned for him to continue. “I wish I had a briefcase full of hundred dollar unmarked bills in my hand right now.” The briefcase appeared and he then noticed that this was real. He set down the briefcase and felt for his heartbeat. He had one. He smiled instantly. After a few moments he then realized he was not alone and he had one more wish. He thought back to what happened with Buffy and Riley. He knew that Buffy couldn’t help that she needed someone stronger it was just how Slayers were. He then wished for his Super strength and Super reflexes that he had when he was a vampire. “Thanks” Spike said giving god a small smile. God then said “no thank you”. I don’t think you realized you just saved the world,” God said! God then went on saying he was on vacation and didn’t think that the hellmouth would open this soon and that if it weren’t for Spike he wouldn’t have been able to prepare for this and the world would be taken over by demons. He took the necklace off of Spikes head and said “Ill give you a ten second head start to get to Buffy before I unfreeze time”. Spike smiled brightly at God and took off up the stairs! He was barely 30 feet behind her on top of the building when time unfroze. He could feel the sun on his skin as he ran up next to Buffy. She just looked at him in shock and said “Spike”. “Yeah luv I will explain later when we catch up to the bus”. They ran in silence. When they realized they had to jump they jumped hand in hand off of the building landing on the bus below. They lay on the top of the big yellow bus just staring at each other eyes as they both let the tears fall. He still had the briefcase in his right hand. He surely did not want to lose it. The bus then came to a screeching halt and they both jumped off hand in hand. Everyone just came out and stared at Buffy and Spike while they made out with more passion then they had ever seen on any movie. Dawn came rushing up to them and they parted from their kiss and joined Dawn in a big family bear hug. Spike kissed their foreheads and they all cried together. Dawn then jumped back and said “your hearts beating”. Giles was the first to ask “how” but everyone else including Buffy just stared at him. “Ill explain on the ride to LA” he said. They then all climbed back on the bus. Buffy and Spike sat in the very back just holding each other. Giles then asked Spike how it happened. Spike explained the story as everyone listened. Buffy just held him and listened to his heartbeat. When they got to LA instead of he and Buffy going to see angel and stop in they rented a hotel room with the money from God. Buffy asked him a thousand questions about god as they just cuddled in bed. Then they got talking about what was to happen now. They then got talking about children. He asked Buffy if she wanted any children. She said yes but not right now. They fell asleep in each other’s arms and woke up the next morning around noon still intertwined. I love you he said moving in to kiss her lips. I love you too she answered excepting the kiss.
