INT. LOKI'S CHAMBER

Loki sits across from Jordy

LOKI
Okay... first the good news. The raj
sknib serum has been purged from your
system.

JORDY
So I'm back to normal?

LOKI
I didn't say that.

JORDY
Ah... I forgot the obligatory "bad
news".

LOKI
Unfortunately the serum has permanently
changed your body chemistry and not in
the good way. Are you familiar with
Erodelbmud's fourteen laws

Jordy just gives him a blank stare.

LOKI
(sighs)
Just me then? Okay... looks like I'm
going to have to use props.

Loki waves his hand and magically pulls an egg out
of thin air.

LOKI
Know what this is?

JORDY
My brain?

LOKI
No. It's an egg stupid.

Loki puts the egg down on the table and waves his
hand around again magically producing a small
little chick. He puts it next to the egg.

LOKI
Do I have to tell you what this is?

JORDY
Gallus domesticus.

Loki smirks.

LOKI
Yes. You're very smart. So tell me...

Loki points to the egg

LOKI
How does this...

Loki points at the cute little chick

LOKI
Become this?

JORDY
A rooster and a heat lamp?

LOKI
Okay, Mr. Smartypants.... How do you get
the chick back into the shell?

JORDY
Uh... you can't.

LOKI
Because it violates the order of nature.
Right?

Jordy nods.

LOKI
Same thing with you Toto. If you were a
normal werewolf the moon is your heat
lamp.  Once the moon is taken away,
you're back to your normal self. That's
the order of nature for a werewolf.

JORDY
But the treatments...

LOKI
Nullifies the moon's effect. It allows
you to remain in one state. The changing
at will thing... it's a dangerous side
effect that I never recommend. Normally
you can control it with regular
meditation and the potions, but with the
introduction of the serum your body is
now fighting to be in one energy state
or another. If you keep switching back
and forth...

Loki smashes the egg and it splatters it
everywhere.

LOKI
One side is going to lose. Get the
picture?

JORDY
But if I can't transform...

Loki picks up the baby chick and starts playing
with it.

LOKI
Look Benji, it's simple. The
transforming thing? Don't do it.

JORDY
People depend on me.

LOKI
Keep this up and you'll end up killing
them. Is that what you want? Look, I
gotta give you credit. You've been
fighting the good fight and playing the
hero. But now the constant transforming
you're doing is like stretching a rubber
band. You keep doing that... eventually
it'll break. You add the hellmouth into
the equation.... Well let's just say I'm
surprised you've been able to stay even
remotely human.

JORDY
So what are my choices?

LOKI
Option one: Move away from the
hellmouth. Live the quiet life. Option
two: Stop the potions and lock yourself
in cage every month. Option three:
follow the meditation and potion plans
like they are supposed to, but you can
never transform again.

JORDY
What happens if I do transform?

LOKI
I'd have your friends stock up on flea
collars, kibble and eventually silver
bullets. Your mind will begin to erode.
It'll be harder and harder to stay
human.

JORDY
Without the wolf, there's no way I can
protect my friends.

LOKI
(whiny)
"No way I can protect my friends."
(normal)
Haven't you been listening to me? You
transform... your friends are dead.

JORDY
There's no other option?

Loki looks at Jordy and gives him an evil grin.

LOKI
You won't like it.

JORDY
I haven't liked anything so far, why
should that change?

Loki reaches into his desk and pulls out a small
stone.

LOKI
When you can snatch this pebble from my
hand, only then will I call you master..

Jordy give him a blank stare.

LOKI
Not a David Carradine fan, are you?

JORDY
Who's David Carradine?

LOKI
You know... "Grasshoppa"? "If you walk
upon this sheet of rice paper without
leaving a trace only then can you be a
shaolin monk"?

Jordy just gives Loki another blank stare. Loki
sighs in defeat and tosses the stone to Jordy.
Jordy's expression instantly changes as he catches
it.

JORDY
Whoa.

LOKI
That my young friend will help put in
you in an instant meditative trance.
Once you can access your nirmana-kaya
again, stop using it. You need to be
able to penetrate the sunyata without
such "crutches". Consider it your quest
stone.

JORDY
My what?

LOKI
Your quest stone. As long as you have
it, your quest will continue. When the
time is right... your test will begin.

JORDY
Oh. This can't be good.

Loki gives Jordy an evil grin.
