Summer Lovin': Prologue

Authors Note: I was reading Soak up the Sun by Vamp_grlz or whoever and it gave me an idea. Not to mention, by the title, I just watched Grease. So I hope you enjoy and no, this is not a copy of Soak up the Sun or just my version of how it goes.

"Please mom! I don't wanna go be down there all alone this summer."Buffy begged her mother.

"Your Aunt Jenny and Uncle Rupert will be there and so will your cousins Daniel and Cordelia."

"But I want my friends there. Not my cousin friends but my friend, friends! They already asked their parents and they said yes. You're making me drive anyways and it'd be better if I had people in the car! Please, please, please!"

"Fine. Just stop begging you look like a dog."Buffy hit her mom's arm playfully and ran upstairs to call her friends.

"Willow? Hey! Good news but, I'm gonna three way Darla."Buffy dialed Darla's number,"Darla? Hey, it's Buffy."

"And Willow."She piped up.

"And Willow, can you call Dawn?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"I have good news."Buffy was bouncing around her room.

Darla clicked off and Willow started talking,"So, what'sthe good news? Please tell me bestest friend!"

"Okay, okay. Mom said that you guys can come with me to Florida!"

Both girls squealed,"Really?!? Yes!"

"Why so happy girls?"Dawn's voice came over the phone.

"Buffy has good news!"

"Willow! This is my story. I have good news!"

"Well?"Darla and Dawn asked in unison.

"You guys are coming with me to Florida."Everyone squealed,"Wait there's more..."

"There is?"The other three girls asked.

"Boys. My cousins friends are spending the summer there too. All I know for sure is that Oz, my cousin you guys met him once with Cordy, and Xander will be there."

"Oz!"Willow squealed.

"Yes. The one you had a crush on. Okay, I'll be showing up at 4:30 in the morning at Willow's so be ready. Um, then I'll be at your house Darla and then we pick up Dawn. So it'll take all of fifteen minutes I'm hoping. The drive to Florda, will take about three to four days. Maybe less."

"Do we need to bring money?"Dawn asked pulling out her wallet.

"Yeah. We'll need gas, hotel, and food money. Then if you plan on shopping, extra. My mom is giving meone hundred for the gas and stuff but I had to raise the rest of the shopping money. I made,"Buffy started to whisper as she was counting the cash,"Six hundred."

"Dang!"They said in unison.

"I worked, at the mall, baby sitting, dog walking, house cleaning."

"You were a maid?"Darla giggled.

"Yes. How much do you guys have?"

"Well, I just counted, i have two hundred and I'll ask mom if she can give me a little for gas."Dawn informed them.

Willow started counting hers as Darla spoke,"I have one fourty."

"And I have seven hundred and twenty two dollars." There was silence,"Hello?"

"How did you get that much money?"Buffy asked sounding amazed.

"Well, I worked this year and last year. Every paycheck, I put away fourty dollars. I only spent a little out of it since and I came up with that."

"Okay well, I gotta go. See you guys tomorrow, dark and early. Bye."

"Bye."They said together.
